"You know you didn't have to settle for me," Ron told Hermione as they walked down the road to their apartment.

"what do you mean?" She asked confused.

"There are tons of better guys you could have settled for, why me?"

"I never settled for you Ron," Hermione said holding his arm to stop him from walking.

"Of course you didn't," he muttered pulling away from her grasp.

"I could never pretend to love someone I didn't, you know I'm an awful liar."

"That's true," he admitted.

"And you're wrong, I could have settled for much worse. I could have settled for Voldemort." Ron laughed but also thought of Cho who seemed so happy with the dark lord.

"I didn't settle for you either," he said wrapping an arm around her shoulders as they walked on.
