Harry paid for his copy of the Daily Prophet and quickly opened it. His eyes widened slightly at the headline topic and then they narrowed as he read what was wrote.
Ravenclaw and Slytherin Heir Found
By Rita Skeeter
Yes, dear readers, you have read it correctly. The Ravenclaw and Slytherin Heir has been found. And it is not just anyone. The Heir has been revealed to be 18 year old Hermione Granger.
How can this be? I am sure that you are just as curious about that as I am. Is something sinister in the works? After all, inheritances are supposed to occur at the age of 17 and Ms. Granger is a Muggleborn. How is it that a Muggleborn can have the blood of one of the Great Founders and the Muggle and Muggleborn hating Founder?
There is clearly something more sinister at work here.
Just the day before I found Ms. Granger out of Hogwarts shopping, where she attacked me without any provoking and stuck me to a wall for most of the day. But that isn't all, dear readers, she left school with four other males, including Harry Potter. Has she entrapped them all? Others seem to think so.
I spoke to Ginny Weasley, who is heartbroken by Ms. Granger's actions. She only had this to say: "Harry and I had been so happy together until that supposed inheritance appeared and destroyed our happiness…" she could not continue seeing as she burst into tears and fled the room. My heart breaks for this young victim of Ms. Granger.
The tragedy doesn't stop there. I also spoke to Zacharias Smith, who is devastated by Ms. Granger's change in attitude. "We were meant to be together," he spoke. "We were perfect for one another and then she had that supposed inheritance and suddenly I was no longer good enough for her. She just could toss me aside so easily. And now I am the one being punished for trying to force her back to me. When will these people learn that she is playing them for fools and hurting good people like me and Ginny Weasley in the process?"
There you have it, dear readers. It seems all is not as it appears. As I get more information I will be sure to share it with you all. I just hope that it is not too late to stop the tragedy that seems to be unfolding before our very eyes.
Once he finished reading what was wrote he swore long and hard before he stood up. He noticed that Sirius, Bill, Charlie, Fred, and George all stood up to out of the corner of his eye. He shot a look at Draco, Blaise, and Theo silently letting them know to stay with Hermione and that him and the others would deal with the two idiots who were stupid enough to talk to Rita Skeeter. "Hermione, I would advise you to go ahead and read the article now so that you know what it says when the questions start coming your way. I'm going to go deal with something."
He then kissed Hermione on the head before he headed to where Ginny was sitting at the Gryffindor table with a smug smile on her face. He felt rather than saw Sirius, Charlie, and George break off and head to the Hufflepuff table where Zacharias Smith was sitting with a smirk on his face. When he got to where Ginny was sitting everyone who was sitting near her jumped out of their seats and moved away from the table. "Ginny, you do realize what you have done right? You just signed your fate and not in a way that anyone who was smart would do it. You lied about Hermione and you lied about me to the Daily Prophet. Hermione very well can sue you and I will make sure that she does since I plan on suing you myself for deformation of character. Did you forget that I am the Boy-Who-Lived-Again and one of the vanquishers of Voldemort? Did you forget that Hermione helped me to end Voldemort's reign of terror and that she saved your pathetic fucking life no less than seven times during the final battle? You owe me two life debts, but you owe Hermione seven life debts and right about now your magic is probably trying to punish you for what you have done."
Ginny paled at Harry's words even as she hissed "Well if Hermione wouldn't have come into the inheritance that she did then you would be mine, Harry Potter! I'm not going to take losing you lying down!"
Harry shook his head as he glared at Ginny with hard eyes. "No, you lost me because of your own fucking actions. You are to blame for me breaking up with you and not taking you back not Hermione. You are the one who saw no problem spreading her legs for anyone and everyone just because I wouldn't sleep with you. How would you like that to make it to the front page of the Daily Prophet. I can see it now: Harry Potter the Boy-Who-Lived Dumped Ginevra Weasley because She Couldn't and Wouldn't Keep Her Legs Closed: The Truth Behind the Lies of one Ginevra Weasley. I think that is a great headline don't you, Ginny? You want to lie about Hermione and I like that well you will have to reap what you sow."
Ginny gasped. "You wouldn't, Harry! I know that you wouldn't do that to me."
Harry smirked. "Oh I would and I will. You had no problem throwing Hermione and I under the bus so now it is your turn. You deserve everything that you're going to get and then some. I'm going to laugh when you are finally taught a lesson that you won't be able to forget anytime soon."
Ginny looked at Bill and Fred. "You won't let Harry do what he said will you?"
Bill glared at his baby sister. "Oh, I will and I plan on helping him with it! How dare you lie like you did about Hermione and Harry both? I see that mom's talk to you yesterday did nothing because you are still acting like a spoiled little bitch who doesn't care about anyone but themselves. I wouldn't worry too much about what Harry is going to do to you, Ginny. I would worry more about what Hermione and mom are going to do to you because I have no doubt that they will make you regret not only what you did but that you were born."
Fred nodded as his eyes flashed with anger. "You are no sister of mine anymore, Ginny. I can't believe that you could and would be as vindictive and petty as you were. Harry had every right to dump your lying, scheming, cheating ass, but yet you just have to act like you are the fucking victim in all of this. You brought all of this on yourself and therefore you have nobody to blame, but your idiotic pathetic self."
Harry nodded and sneered "I no longer know you and don't want to know you. You are worse than some of the people the we fought against."
Ginny's eyes filled with tears as she stood up, but when she took a step back she ran into someone and slowly turned around. She paled even further when she saw that it was Hermione and saw the look that was on the older girl's face. "Hermione."

Sirius, Charlie, and George strode up to where Zacharias was sitting all alone since none of his housemates wanted to be close to him, but it was Sirius who growled "You do realize that you just signed your own death certificate don't you, Smith? Did you forget that Hermione is friends with the Minister of Magic and several Aurors? Did you forget that several people overheard your threat about her yesterday and that the only reason that you haven't been expelled is because of Hermione?"
Charlie reached down and roughly pulled Zacharias up from his seat. "That girl is my sister in every way, but blood and you dared to attack her the way that you did in the paper? As if Hermione would ever lower herself to go out with you. You are an idiot, Smith, and I'm sure that by now your parents are probably on their way here. We all heard about what they told you yesterday after they were called to the school because of what you said about Hermione. I bet I could feed you to a dragon right now and I would get away with it. What do you think?"
Zacharias paled even as he blustered "Well she shouldn't have turned me down."
Fred pulled his fist back and sent it flying at Zacharias' face. He smirked when he heard the other boy's nose break. "Of course she would turn you down, you fucking moronic imbecile. Unlike you Hermione does have standards about who she would ever consider being with. By the looks of your Head of House you are soon going to be wishing that you were dead."
Zacharias chanced a looked at the Head Table and swallowed hard at the looks aimed at him by not only Professor Sprout, but from Professors Flitwick, Babbling, McGonagall, Snape, and the Headmaster. He knew then that he was in deep trouble. "One way or another I will get Granger because she belongs with me. If I have Granger, then I will be invited to all the balls and parties that I haven't been invited to yet."
Sirius threw his head back and laughed. "As if anyone would invite you anywhere even if you were with Hermione. After what you just did there isn't going to be anyone who wants to associate with the likes of you including your own parents. Speaking of parents, yours are now standing in the doorway of the Great Hall."
The Hufflepuff boy paled when he saw his mother and father in the doorway. He knew from the looks on their faces that he was in for it.

Molly took her copy of the Daily Prophet from the owl and set it to the side. She wanted to eat before she read what it printed about Hermione. However, that soon changed when she heard several of the Professors gasp and even heard Minerva and Albus both start swearing. She quickly pulled her copy to in front of her and opened it out.
She quickly read what it said and then growled low in her throat. "How dare Skeeter print so many lies Hermione!? How dare Ginny give a quote to that vile woman after the talking to I gave her yesterday evening!? At least Ronald had more sense than to give the stupid woman a quote of his own unlike Zacharias Smith did. I am so sorry, Elizabeth and Donovan. I was so sure that I raised her better than this."
Elizabeth shook her head and gave Molly a small smile. "What your daughter said and did is not on you, Molly. She chose to ignore your warning and act like a spoiled little girl who had her favorite toy taken away. She is going to learn a lesson here soon that she will never forget once Hermione reads what was said in the Daily Prophet. You cannot blame yourself for what your daughter has done because while you may have raised her correctly she chose to throw everything that you have taught her out the window. I will not keep Hermione from her right on confronting both Ginny and the Smith boy. I will not keep Hermione from going after Rita fucking Skeeter with both barrels. Skeeter, Ginny, and Smith should all know by now just how vindictive Hermione can be if you cross her."
Severus snorted. "They should know how vindictive Hermione can be since the Edgecombe girl still has sneak wrote across her forehead for betraying the DA in Hermione and Potter's fifth year. Rita Skeeter was warned yesterday about going up against Hermione so she made her own bed and now she can lay in it. I'm not going to feel sorry for the stupid idiotic pathetic whimpering woman once Hermione gets finished with her."
Albus sighed and shook his head sadly. "Kingsley isn't going to like what was wrote and I have no doubt that he will be having words with the Editor who is going to find out that Kingsley is very different than Fudge. As for Miss Skeeter she is going to find out soon just how much trouble she is in with not only Hermione, but several other people as well."
Arthur looked away from where he was glaring at his daughter who two of his sons and Harry were giving a stern talking to, to Molly. "Molly, I do believe that you should wait until Bill, Fred, and Harry are finished having words with Ginevra before you have them with her."
Molly looked at where her daughter was standing pale with Harry, Bill, and Fred around her and smirked slightly. "I would have to wait until later to have words with her anyways, Arthur. With as angry as I am right now I am afraid that I would say or do something that I shouldn't."
Minerva patted Molly on the shoulder. "It will all be alright, Molly. Have you all looked at the other students' reactions? Many of them are glaring at the paper because of what was wrote. I know that Hermione has been nice to almost everyone she has talked to here at Hogwarts, but I never suspected that almost the whole student body of Hogwarts would be mad for her."
Elizabeth let out a tinkering laugh. "Hermione always seems to inspire loyalty without even trying, Minerva. While she was in primary school she thought she had no friends, but I know for a fact that I saw several different kids take on those that were bullying her when she wasn't watching. I think that part of it is, is that she is so damn smart that she intimidates others without even trying. After all most people would think that someone so smart wouldn't want to talk to someone who wasn't as smart as them."
Severus sighed. "I know of another witch that was like that when she was younger than Hogwarts age. Lily Potter nee Evans was bright when I met her at the age of nine, but I was just as bright so I had no problem talking to her. I just don't understand why people think that being smart and/or bright is such a crime because it isn't. If anything having someone who is smart as a friend helps you make sure that you do better than ever because you want to show that while you may not be as smart as your friend that you aren't dumb either. Hermione has never once tried to keep her intelligence hidden while she has been here at Hogwarts which is a good thing and a bad thing because it did bring more attention to her."
He groaned. "I can still remember the whole troll incident in her first year. Mr. Ronald Weasley said some very unpleasant things to her after she had tried to help him with the Wingardium Leviosa. She spent the rest of the day crying in a girl's bathroom and then when news broke about a Troll being in Hogwarts Harry Potter literally pulled Weasley with him to warn Hermione since if Weasley hadn't said the things he did that Hermione would have been at the feast. They ended up fighting the troll to save Hermione."
Molly's lips thinned. "Why was I not informed that it was Ronald's fault that Hermione was in the bathroom and that is why him and Harry fought the troll? If I had known that then he wouldn't have gotten praise from me. If I had known that he was the reason that Hermione was in the bathroom he would have received a Howler for what he did! No wonder Harry told me when I asked him about that incident that he had to force Ron to go with him because the boy tried to duck out of it!"
Minerva narrowed her eyes. "You didn't get told because I didn't know that, Molly? Severus, how in the bloody hell did you find all of that out?"
Severus smirked. "I talked to Harry the next day because I could tell that Hermione had lied to us the night before. The boy told me everything from start to finish before he asked me if I would hit him now for not telling the truth sooner. How in the bloody hell could nobody tell that Harry and I got along a hell of a lot better after the troll incident? I mean anybody besides Hermione who confronted us about it about the Stone incident at the end of the year."
Albus looked at Severus with twinkling eyes. "I noticed, but I figured if I said anything that you would stop spending time with the boy, Severus. Did you really think I didn't notice that during the summer you would spend it on the street that Harry lived on in a house that you bought out of the blue? I know that you, Donovan, and Elizabeth stepped in several times when the Dursley's started in on Harry for whatever reason."
Donovan smirked. "I don't think Vernon Dursley will like what he finds out at the end of Harry's and Hermione's school year. Elizabeth and I saw how he was treating Harry and bought the house that they were living in and the business where Vernon works at. We will be gifting them to Harry upon graduation for him to do with what he wants. I do know that the Dursley's signed a rental agreement when Elizabeth and I bought the house, but they haven't been paying on it. The two stupid idiots didn't bother reading the contract to see who owns the house, but we put it in Harry's name already. We had the contract drawn up through Gringotts so they will get what they deserve sooner rather than later."
Minerva laughed. "It is about time that they get what is coming to them. Albus, I told you before that they were the worst sort of Muggles. We're just lucky that Severus saw it when Harry started Hogwarts and that he stepped in to help Harry out. I do believe that you have plans set in motion for the Dursley's, Severus?"
Severus chuckled. "In three months' time an article will be published about child abuse with a follow up article about the Dursley's and their treatment of their nephew along with pictures of Harry's injuries. I did get Harry's permission before I set the plan into motion because I didn't want to take the choice away from him. While he isn't going to press charges right now he wants their reputations of being perfectly normal shattered for the world to see."
Molly grinned. "Those horrid people do deserve it. Thank you guys for talking about something other than the article in the Daily Prophet. It did help me to calm down."
Elizabeth winked at Molly. "That is what we were trying for, Molly dear. I cannot wait to see Hermione go after Skeeter and even Smith. I think that when it comes to Ginevra that she will be more careful in what she does, but that she will still make your daughter regret giving a quote to that nasty woman."
Molly shrugged. "I really can't bring myself to care right now, Elizabeth, because she will deserve whatever Hermione does to her within reason. I know that Hermione won't push it too far and maybe if I don't take action until after Hermione does Ginny will finally learn that she is not the begin all and end all of anyone's life but her own. I love my daughter, but she really needs to learn that she can't have whatever she wants regardless of what she seems to think. I'm just happy that no other students seem to be mad at Hermione or shouting out in disbelief about her inheritance."
"Anyone with eyes can see that Miss Granger has changed physically and that she didn't use glamours to do so. Her eye colour is startling and also shows the proof that yes she has Angelus blood in her. If Rita had done her research like she should have before publishing the article that she would have known that. There are going to be several people after her for what she published and not just people who know Miss Granger." Filius Flitwick spoke up from a little way down the table. He had been keeping an eye on the students to make sure that nobody went up to Hermione to start any trouble.
Pomona Sprout snickered. "Smith is getting reamed good by not only his parents, but by Sirius, Charlie, and George. I can't help, but wonder what Miss Granger will do or say to him once she finally reads the Daily Prophet. She is focusing more on eating than what is going on around her surprisingly."
"I think that is because it looks like Draco and Blaise both put sticking charms on her until she ate, Pomona." Lucius drawled.
That caused everyone to laugh and then they all went back to their own meals while keeping a close eye on the situation that they knew would explode once Hermione finished eating and read the article in the newspaper.
