I don't own Four Brothers or any of it's characters.

"I don't like it" Bobby declared.

The Mercer brothers were standing surrounding the salesman, who was growing more and more nervous by the minute.

"It's the best one we got" He gulped.

"I think it's fine" Jerry sighed, turning to their trump card, otherwise known as Jack. "Jack, what do you think?"

Jack looked up from where he was perched half underneath the tree. "I like it"

"See? He likes it" Jerry gestured to the tree and Angel clapped his hands together loudly, making the salesman jump high in the air.

"Great!"

Bobby nodded slowly. If Jackie liked it then he liked it and they were getting it. "Fine, we'll take it. But your helping us pin it to the roof of the car".

The man nodded frantically, in his hurry stepping on a small patch of ice and slipping, barely managing to catch himself in time. Bobby sighed and shook his head.

"On second thought, don't".

Later that night Jack was happily decorating the tree while Evelyn were baking cookies and his brothers were seated on the couch watching him. He chose each ornament with care, picking them up and inspecting them carefully before choosing where they would go. The lights were already in place thanks to Angel. When all that was left was the star at the top Jack turned to look at Bobby, who made a show of groaning when getting up, but everyone could see the small smile playing at the corner of his lips. He got down on his knees and Jack climbed on top of his shoulders, star in hand.

"I'll be taller than you one day" Jack laughed as Bobby pretended to stumble and drop him into the tree.

"No you aint" Bobby scoffed, fake stumbling again.

"Ma says I will" Jack got out while laughing, clutching at Bobby's head, making him stumble for real this time "And she's always right, you said so yourself".

Jerry and Angel were watching and smiling. They knew Bobby acted tough, but they also knew that he not so secretly loved these little moments when Jack would turn to him in need of help. Finally the star was at the top of the tree and Bobby and Jack flopped down on the couch, Bobby pushing at Angel to make room none too gently while Jack laughed loudly.
