Annabeth and I were sitting on Half-Blood Hill, talking about Greek mythology when Grover came up and sat next to us. We could see all the cabins, the entire lake, the whole forest, and the strange but molten climbing wall. We could also see the horse-race track, the arena, and the Big House. Grover sat silently for a while. Annabeth and I exchanges glances. I finally spoke up. "Hey Grover, what's up? How's Juniper?" He didn't say anything. Suddenly his eyes grew red and became slits like a snakes eye. Dark, mangled, and leathery wings that made me think of plastic bags spread from his back as he turned a black and gray color.
Oh gods, it's a Fury! I thought. I took out my sword, Riptide, as the Fury slashed at Annabeth. I blocked the slash, my blade barely missing Annabeth's arm. "Sorry." I said softly. She nodded as the horrified look on her face turned to an annoyed face. She frantically looked for her bronze knife all around her waist. I was getting angry, fighting this stupid Fury. I thrust at its heart and it turned into dust. I turned to face Annabeth, but she was RIGHT behind me and I accidentally fell on her. Her face hit my face as our lips touched. Now, I didn't ever mean for this to happen (I always hoped it would) but I'm not saying I didn't like it! She pushed me and off stood up. Her face was as red as a ripe tomato. She touched her lips and ran to her cabin. I was a little shocked at the whole damned deal.
The real Grover (I hope) walked up to me. "I saw the whole thing, bro. Did you just..." I nodded. He continued,"Oh jeez. You liked it."
"I did not!"
"I can read emotions Percy. AND I'm your best friend. How stupid do you think I am!"
I held my head low. "She probably doesn't like me back, though." Grover shook his head. " I think you should go talk to her," I looked at him with a much more confident smile. "I think I will! And Grover, thanks."
I walked over to her cabin to hear awful crying. It sounded just like Annabeth. I knocked on the door. "Annabeth?"
"GO AWAY!"
"Come on, Annabeth."
"Fine." I walked in. Her face was tear-streaked from crying. She wore a long, orange t-shirt on that went down to her ankles. I sat next to her. "Why do you love her?" She asked
"Who?"
"Rachel. The stupid mortal." "I don't love her. I love someone else at camp." She started to cry a lot more.
"Yeah, she has dazzling gray eyes. Blond hair curled like a princess's. She's really smart and she wants to be an architect. She always sees the good in people even if they betray her mercilessly. She's always calling me Sea-Weed Brain. It's nickname I've grown to love. And so in conclusion, the person I love at camp is none other than the beautiful and stunning Annabeth Minerva Chase, daughter of the goddess Athena."
Her crying stopped. She looked up at me. "You...You love me! Really?"
"I of all people don't deserve you, but yes I really do love you!" She then kissed me tenderly, and we made out for like half an hour. Annabeth ended up climbing on top of me in the end. "Just don't fall on me again, Seaweed Brain! I still have bruises."
"Where are they? Your arm?"
She thought for a while. Then Annabeth touched to her lips. I leaned in and kissed them. "All better?" "Yes Percy, all better..."
I got the inspiration off of another fan-fiction. By Δανιήλ της Βαλένθια, the rightful and powerful son of Hades. All hail my wrath!
Btw this is my first fan ficion, so please don't hate it.
For all you globally hated and despised disclaimers out there, I do not own PJATO.
