This song is based off of Adele's Make you feel my love. I only own Aubrey. This is my first story I hope y'all enjoy it- Amber

When the rain

Is blowing in your face

And the whole world

Is on your case

I could offer you

A warm embrace

To make you feel my love

She arrived at his door dripping wet holding back unshed tears. The minute Wade opened the door and pulled her into his house, engulfing her in his embrace and started to cry.

When the evening shadows

And the stars appear

And there is no one there

To dry your tears

I could hold you

For a million years

To make you feel my love

He led her over to the couch and left her for a moment to grab a warm towel. Wrapping her sopping wet form with the soft terry cloth, he kept his hold on her as she sobbed into his chest for what seemed like an eternity. He tightened his grip around her and placed a soft kiss to her forehead. He hated seeing her cry and each time she did, he vowed to do his best to dry those tears.

I know you

Haven't made

Your mind up yet

But I would never

Do you wrong

I've known it

From the moment

That we met

No doubt in my mind

Where you belong

Wade had told Aubrey about how he felt about her a while back, even though she was dating someone else at the time. Fortunately for him, his confession did nothing to change their friendship. He didn't know what he would have done if she had walked out on him because of his admission. What he didn't know was that Aubrey felt the same for him and just never said anything. The timing was never right, she thought.

Despite remaining friends, Wade had always hoped for something more, regardless of when it happened. As he held on to her while she cried, he had been praying to anyone who would listen that her turning up at his doorstep in such a state would be the way for him to finally get his chance to love her the way he had always wanted

I'd go hungry

I'd go black and blue

I'd go crawling

Down the avenue

No, there's nothing

That I wouldn't do

To make you feel my love

As more tears fell from her face, Aubrey couldn't help but wonder why she had wasted so much time with her ex. She knew Wade would do anything for her and as she much as she wanted to just be with him, she just couldn't bring herself to come clean about her feelings just yet.

The storms are raging

On the rolling sea

And on the highway of regret

Though winds of change

Are throwing wild and free

You ain't seen nothing

Like me yet

After what seemed like hours, Wade eventually took her up to his bedroom and grabbed her some warm clothes to change into. She took the oversized shirt and drawstring shorts from his hands and walked into the bathroom to change. When Aubrey returned, she saw him sitting at the edge of the bed. She took a moment to let her gaze linger on his form and then glanced at the bed.

"Wade," she whispered hoarsely, her voice plagued by her bout of tears. "I want to be with you. It's taken me so long to realize that you're the only one for me. I hate that it's taken me so long to realize it."

I could make you happy

Make your dreams come true

Nothing that I wouldn't do

Go to the ends

Of the Earth for you

To make you feel my love

Wade couldn't fight the smirk that was growing on his face as he listened to her finally confess her feelings for him. He walked over to her, cupped her cheeks gently in his hands and crashed his lips to hers, something he'd been wanting to do for a long time.

"I want to be with you too Aubrey," he said as he cradled her face in his hands, stroking his thumbs at the apples of her cheeks and kissed her again. He finally had the woman he loved and he couldn't ask for anything more.
