Disclaimer: You know the drill.
You know diary, it's at times like this I wonder why Hay Lin never suggested setting her cousins on Phobos. We'd have won the war in five minutes without magic.
Then again, we probably wouldn't have much of Meridian left either.
Well let's start from the beginning shall we?
Hay Lin's cousins have discovered coffee. And they like it. A lot. Not the best combination.
I'm hiding away in the kitchen, helping with the washing up and leaving Hay Lin to deal with them. She has magic and plenty of energy. I'm sure she can handle them. Probably.
You know, it's at times like this, I used to wander what it would be like when Cornelia and I got married, had children and ended up living in domestic bliss. You know, the whole American dream that Earthlings seem to spend a lot of time talking about. Or maybe it's just me?
Anyway, lately I'm…not thinking of Cornelia as the other person in this picture. Or…at least it's getting harder.
Every time I think of the future with Cornelia and our children…Will is always there, even when we're meant to be alone.
I considered talking about this stuff with Aldarn or Drake, but I don't want it getting back to Cornelia and her getting the wrong impression. Candracar knows we have enough drama to worry about.
Well actually it's quiet right about now, but still…I get the feeling that something big is about to happen soon.
It wouldn't surprise me if Yan Lin knows a thing or two though. I've caught her giving me knowing looks now and then. Then again, Yan ALWAYS looks like she knows something. Probably a Lin family trait or something. They ALWAYS know.
Something thumps in the background
"Sounds like Hay Lin has things under control. Or at least, as under control as possible with the twins. Don't worry, I'll go and see what's happening and you keep talking into your diary dear."
Damn! Looks like I wasn't as subtle as I thought. Or as quiet.
That was Hay Lin's aunt you heard just then. Lin women seem to have almost supernatural hearing, even without magic. It's almost supernatural really. Probably something to do with all the…well extras in their history. Yan Lin tells me that her grandmother was entrusted to the same tasks she was. And her lively daughter.
Anyway, I'm wandering off course here. I even had a really strange dream where Will and I were celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary together. How's that for weird? I mean, why would I be fantasising about Will like that?
Then again, I wonder why she hasn't had a boyfriend since Matt? Nobody serious at any rate. Does she still have feelings for Matt or is there someone else she's interested in? She certainly didn't wear that dress because she had no one in mind (Cornelia had to point that out to me.
I wonder if it was for a girl? I mean…it's possible after all. She could be bisexual after all.
Well no more time to wonder. Hay Lin needs my help. If you don't hear from me again, assume I didn't make it.
AN: My muse freaking HATES this fic I swear. Seriously, every time I try getting it to go anywhere it just freezes up.
