Lexy drove back to her motel room, completely exhausted and starting to feel the bruises from the vamps now that her adrenaline was wearing off. She was used to the pain though, that wasn't what was really bothering her. It was the fact that she couldn't get this weird numb feeling out of her hand, the hand that she grabbed Cas's arm with. She sensed that there was something strange about him but couldn't put her finger on what it was. Lexy felt a flame burning inside of her when she thought of Cas, but quickly extinguished it.

"You haven't been with a guy in seven years Lex, get ahold of yourself." She said.

Pulling into the motel, she parked in front of room 28 and grabbed her bags out.

"Home sweet home."

As she unlocked the door her cell phone started to play Bon Jovi's Dead or alive and she smiled as she pulled it out to answer it.

"Hello father of our future love children." Lexy said as she giggled into the phone. She loved joking around with Carter. He was the one and only person left in her life and helped her in all her hunts by doing the research. She doubted he would actually ever go out and hunt with her. He was safer behind his computer anyways, and that's the way she wanted him to stay. Safe and alive.

"Something new every night. I love your creativity. How is my favorite sexy blonde tonight? Did you find Dante?" Carter asked.

"Yes, actually I did. He was about to give me everything when two stupid "so called" hunters jumped out and killed him. So back to square one." She said annoyingly.

"Did you get their names?"

"It was Castiel, well Cas, and I can't remember the other douchebags name. They thought they were rescuing me." She said as she laughed.

"Never heard of a Castiel. Well I'll see if I can hunt down more of Brandon's minions and I'll try to find out who this Castiel is on the side. What are you going to do tonight?" Carter asked.

"I'm thinking about stripping down and lathering up my naked body in a hot, wet bubble bath." She said innocently.

"You're killing me here. I have research to do, behave yourself little girl. Love ya Lex."

"I love you too Carter Anderson. Sweet dreams."

Lexy hung up her phone and threw it on the bed. She walked over to the door and locked it before grabbing a towel and heading to the bathroom. Seconds after slipping off all her clothes, a knock sounded on the door.

"Damn damn damn."

She quickly wrapped the towel around herself and walked to the door. After quickly looking through the peephole she sighed loudly and backed away from the door to the bed. Lexy grabbed out one of her knives before going back over and throwing open her door.

"Did you follow me?" She immediately said.

Cas stared at the knife in her hand for a moment before replying with a simple, "no."

"Then how did you find me!" Lexy demanded.

"I sensed you. Dean and I are also staying at this motel. Are you alright?"

"What do you mean you sensed me? Who are you?" She asked.

"I'm Castiel, an angel of The Lord. I have certain abilities which allowed me to sense you. I didn't mean to intrude." He said staring at the door instead of looking at her.

"Angel huh? Guess I shouldn't be surprised. There are demons so it would only make sense that there would be angels. This explains a lot actually." Lexy said more to herself than anything.

"Would it be inappropriate to ask if I could come into your room?"

"Depends on why you're asking to come in I guess." Lexy replied.

"I thought maybe we could talk."

"And what would an angel want to talk about with me? I'm a little rusty on my bible schooling, but as far as I recall, you guys are like warrior robots sent to destroy and take people to the hereafter even when it's not their time to go. You have no feelings or regard for other people's."

Cas was at a loss for what to say. She didn't question him when he told her he was an angel like everyone else had. She quickly accepted the fact that he was what he said. She clearly knew about angels and even though she said she learned it from the bible, he knew for a fact it was something else. The way she talked about them made angels sound evil and Cas knew she didn't learn any of that from the bible.

Lexy sighed loudly and finally said, "as long as you don't try and kill me you can come in for a few minutes. I'm exhausted and I don't want to have to kick your ass." She walked back into the room with Cas following closely behind before closing the the motel room door.

"Why would you think I'd try and kill you?"

"Well you're an angel, and since I've never met one, I have no idea what to expect. Just covering my bases."

"I see. What else do you know about angels?" Cas asked while surveying her motel room.

"Uhhh not much other than the warrior thing. I didn't think you really existed. I believed in angels about as much as I believed in santa. Anyways, why are you here and not up there?" Lexy asked, pointing up towards the ceiling.

"I was sent to help the Winchesters stop the apocalypse last year. I still haven't been back. Dean still needs my help."

"Dean. Right. That's the D-bag from the cemetery right?" Lexy asked.

"I'm not sure what a D-bag is but yes, Dean was in the cemetery tonight." Cas said.

Lexy smiled at Castiel and laughed a little before saying, "Ah yes, you don't understand slang. This could be fun."

Lexy watched Cas for a moment, noticing the fact that he seemed a bit nervous and wouldn't make eye contact for more than a few seconds. Looking down she quickly realized it was because she was standing in front of him in nothing more than a paper thin towel.

"Oh damn, sorry. You probably think I'm a whore." She said before grabbing some clothes off the bed. "I'm not too modest, it's just a body ya know."

Lexy slipped into the bathroom before Cas could reply. After pulling her clothes on, she stared at her reflection in the mirror as she brushed through her hair. Her dirty blonde hair reached the middle of her back and was always straight. She wondered what Castiel would think of the angel wing tattoos that began at her shoulder blades and ran all the way to the small of her back. For some reason Lexy didn't want him to see them, so she quickly pulled on a zip up hoodie over her tank top and jeans. She took one last glance in the mirror before exiting the restroom and ran right into the brick wall that was actually Cas's chest.

"Ow, damn! What are you made of, bricks?"

"Sorry, I just wanted to tell you that I don't think you're a whore. Dean likes whores, and they're nothing like you."

"Umm thanks I think? So tell me, what kind of powers do you have?" Lexy asked as she walked over to sit cross legged on the bed.

A second later, Cas disappeared before her eyes. A few minutes passed before he reappeared in front of her with an outstretched arm. Lexy reluctantly reached out and felt him drop something into her hand. She pulled it closer to her and studied the beautiful emerald gem at the end of a gold chain.

"I don't understand, it's just a necklace."

"That is the personal amulet of Cleopatra from her sealed tomb. It's said to have many protection powers, though that was just said to protect her of course."

"So you're saying you just raided a two thousand year old tomb and stole a necklace from the corpse of Cleopatra? Well that's kind of a strange thing for an angel to do isn't it?" Lexy smirked when Cas clearly didn't understand her sarcasm.

"I was just demonstrating one of my many abilities like you asked."

"Yeah I got it Cas. Here." She held out the necklace for Cas to take it back but he held up his hand and refused it.

"No keep it, I insist. No one will know that it's missing and I think it will look stunning on you." He replied without ever looking at her.

"Uh well, thanks."

Lexy's phone alerted her with a text message and she quickly jumped up to grab it and sat the necklace on the bedside table. Carter's name flashed on the screen and she quickly read the text message before tossing her phone on the bed and sighing.

"No rest for the wicked." She said more to herself then Cas, but he still heard her.

"What does that mean?"

"It means that I have work to do. Sorry to cut this short Cas." Lexy quickly began throwing things into her bags and quickly pulled on her boots.

"Do you need my assistance with anything?" Cas knew the look in Lexy's eyes because it was the same look Dean got when he was about to go on a hunt.

"Thanks but I'm not really the damsel in distress type. I'm fully capable of protecting myself." Lexy seen Cas hang his head down so she added, "I'm just used to working alone ya know. Nothing personal."

"I understand."

"Well maybe I'll see you around sometime Cas."

"You never told me your name."

"Oh, it's Lexy. I'd give you my number but I'm pretty sure angels don't have cell phones." She joked.

"Anytime you need me, just say my name."

Just like that, Cas disappeared before her eyes. Lexy stood there for a second, wondering why she felt some sort of longing towards Cas but quickly brushed it off. She grabbed her bags off the bed and snached the cleopatra necklace off the table before heading to her car.
