Athrun's 'Serious' Jokes

Cagalli sat under the Sakura tree on her garden with Athrun's head on her lap. They couldn't find anything else to do, since all their work was done, but they weren't bored with what they were doing either.

Silence flung in the air and no one spoke. The soft sound of the wind and screeching of the tree's branches were only heard. Missing the sound of his husky voice, she decided to ask a question that's been going on in her head for quite some time now.

"Hey, Athrun?"

He looked up. "Hm?"

She narrowed her eyes from him. "Do you promise not to love any other girl after me?"

"I don't think I can promise that." He sat up and leaned on the tree.

Startled, Cagalli jumped. "So, there's someone else?"

He nodded. "Yes. And she looks like you, too."

The blonde looked down; a bit depressed from what she's heard. "Oh…"

The midnight blue-haired boy sighed and smiled at the blonde before him. "You know, one day when we're all together, I'll bring her with me. You know what she'll call you by then?"

Cagalli gave him a confusing look. Was he trying to tell her she'll be insulted by some girl in the future. "What?"

"Mom."

Cagalli blinked… twice. Getting back to the right state of mind, she landed a punch on Athrun's arm.

"Ouch!" Athrun winced. "What was that for?"

"Athrun, you idiot!" Cagalli chuckled. "I want a boy first."
