The Story of Rupert and Luna

Location: Uncle Sasuke

Naruto was running around practically drowning in flowers. He had finally told his parents about re-marrying Itachi. What does his mother do? Call Itachi's mother and start planning. What does his father do? Calls Sasuke and complain about his "older brother ruining his Naruto". Recently Sasuke became the outlit to complain too by his father. Sasuke woke up to his phone call around 2AM thinking it was an emergency he answered and guess what? It was only Minato complaining that Itachi was brain washing Naruto. 2AM. Rupert was not happy and retaliated by peeing on Sasuke's carpet. Rupert liked his sleep. So if Sasuke woke up he woke up all his furry pets since he was not the most silent man.

The cat, Luna, was something else. She didn't give a crap but if Rupert was awake and not her source of warmth or body pillow, she would get back at Sasuke in the most public way. The last stunt was her acting as if Sasuke had hit her and she would flinch and drop to the floor as if scared of Sasuke.

What brought that on? Sasuke cut back on her treats and switched her food for something healthier. When Sasuke witness her do this he was confused as fuck, Haku and Garra had seen this and both men were livid. "She's faking! I never once hit her! Kiba check her out!" He had defended himself from the assult of the two angry males. Kiba had found the whole thing funny but did check Luna just encase Sasuke was abusing the cat.

Nope, the cat was in perfect health and she had dropped the extra weight he had told Sasuke about. So he explained to the two angry males that Luna was acting out. "The cat is evil...I like her." Garra muttered petting the cat who was purring happily. Haku had to admit the cat was smart.

But back to the matter at hand.

Naruto and flowers.

"Sasuke! I hate you're damn cat!" Naruto yelled from the kitchen in frustration. Sasuke eyed Luna who looked lazily at him but there was a gleam in her eye. "I told you not to take Rupert. You didn't listen." Sasuke defended knowing the two animals were very close. "Stop being a little bitch!" Sasuke scoffed. "You weren't almost killed by Haku and Garra last month because of her." He crossed his arms over his chest as he watched Luna who jumped down from the couch and went over to where Rupert was sleeping. He watched as she began to paw at his face a few times before he saw claws and a startled dog up and looking around rapidly.

Rupert looked at Luna who looked at him. standing up slowly Rupert shook off his sleep and Luna jumped on his back sitting there. Rupert walked over to the backyard door and waited. Sasuke didn't even question this and opened the door for them. Rupert walked out to the backyard.

Sasuke closed the door and he turned around to see Naruto staring at him.

"What...the fuck..." Sasuke huffed. "Don't question things I don't understand." Was his response.

Naruto had come over to look at the flower arrangements Ino had made for his wedding. Sasuke had offered to keep it in his spare office. It was a test arrangement and Naruto loved it! When he went to pick up to look it more closely the damned cat jumped out and startled Naruto and the flowers went everywhere.

The week before Naruto had took Rupert to go to Kiba's to get checked since he was taking Ru and Sasuke didn't have time. The dog was older so he had more check up's. Well he lost track of time and he kept Rupert for the whole day. When he got in Luna was very calm...and very pissed.

Sasuke at first asked Kiba if that was normal.

"I don't know what to tell you. They are rescues so they see things differently. Bonds are different. I looked into their past homes. Rupert was given up cause he was getting old. Luna was given up because she became violent. From what it seems the two families lived close to each other and got the two around the same time so they grew up with each other without the families knowing. I'm assuming when Luna saw Rupert wasn't there anymore she got angry and hurt. Thus her being given up. Shelter couldn't put her down because she was calm and happy. Rupert was in the same shelter."

Kiba was able to get most of the information. Granted he was disgusted with the fact why Rupert was given up.

"Rupert during his time in the shelter wasn't responding either. He was sad and wouldn't eat. Soon as he knew Luna was there too he began eating. Eventually the two were allowed to share a living area. When ever someone tried to split them Rupert would grow depressed and Luna violent."

Sasuke could understand this. They were best friends and they had no one else but each other. So he stopped questioning the two after a while.

"Luna was actually being put on the list to be put down. Since people were interested in adopting Rupert but not her." At this Sasuke gasped as if shocked.

How could anyone put her down?! Sure she was a little sadistic and mean but really she was a sweet cat!

That night he learned a lot of things and so like any normal person he sat the two down and had a talk with them well attempted too.

What ended up happening was Luna ignoring him and Rupert putting his big paw on Sasuke's leg as if saying "I understand what you're saying but understand we already know." Their relationship was a close one and Sasuke was pretty glad to have them as his family.

Now when it came to dating it turns out Luna was attached to Sasuke too even if she didn't show it. If she didn't like the guy she would terrorize him until he left. It was when Sasuke started dating Suigesto the waiter, did Luna became a little better. Sasuke also learned that Suigesto was just as evil as Luna. Of course the two would get along.

To this Rupert put his paw on Sasuke's leg once more and Sasuke could read his mind. "You're screwed."

Their really wasn't a dull moment in his life.

Naruto was about too comment about the two but the door bell rang and Sasuke went to go answer it. "Chou! Get down here bring Snowball!" His son was playing in the "playroom" Sasuke had for him. There was a loud bark and Snowball came bounding down with Chou.

The German Shepard was appointed by Itachi to go with them when they went to Sasuke's since Snowball was named by him. That and Itachi liked annoying Sasuke.

"Can I help you?" Naruto could hear the confusion in Sasuke's voice. "Chou go play with Rupert outside." Despite saying he hated the cat, Naruto was fond of her. Luna also loved Chou. The small child really was loved by animals and humans alike. When another dog had tried to approach an unaware Chou she went ape shit. Rupert had heard her and came running to see what was wrong. Sasuke had bolted when he heard a dog crying thinking it was Rupert. Nope, turned out the neighbors dog got too close to Chou and Luna didn't like it.

Haku and Garra's cats were the same. Ino's cat was generally sweet but alas she became angry if Chou cried. Itachi once came home to find all the cats were surrounding Chou and letting him do what he wanted. Naruto walked out of the kitchen and shook his head. "They said the cats wanted to see Chou. They banned the other three from entering the room." Meaning the dogs. "Okay well except Rupert." Said old dog was in the corner asleep where you can clearly see bow ties and some other accessories.

Maybe some glitter thrown on him. Who knew.

"Who banned them?" "Well...mainly Luna. But Ino's cat got aggressive when Snowball wanted to play too. Ru starting whining so Garra's cat slapped him..." Itachi had texted all the owners one simple question.

What the fuck?

His responses?

They wanted to see him.

Haku was more descriptive with pictures of his two cats. Five total pictures.

1. The cats were staring outside the window.

2. Zabuza walked in. Naruto had visited the firm with Chou.

3. Cat's smelled Zabuza and they were expecting Chou to walk in.

4. Nothing happened and the cats got angry.

5. Zabuza running away from cats.

The last picture was a little blurry since Haku was laughing while he took the last picture.

But back to the people at the door.

Naruto could tell Sasuke was getting a little annoyed so he headed to the front seeing unfamiliar people. "Hey S'uke. What's going on?" He questioned when he saw Sasuke's face. "These people want to see Rupert. Apparently they are his original family." Naruto raised an eye brow looking at them. They seemed young, perhaps a few years older than him. "Oh, the ones who gave him away because he was getting old?" Naruto knew the story and his smile might be cheerful but underneath he was disgusted.

Sasuke could tell too.

"Look, we made a mistake. Our youngest is attached to him so we have to get him back. He really is part of the family." The woman tried to explain thinking using a soft voice would work. "Uh, bullshit." Naruto snorted. "Rupert has a best friend. If you can tell us who that is, then you can have him." Sasuke smirked at the challenge Naruto gave them. He knew the blonde wasn't going to let this go.

The two seemed relived at the question. "Our youngest son, Dan. Dan is his best friend." Sasuke snorted softly. "Wrong. His best friend was you're neighbors cat, Luna. When I say was, is because she now lives here. She was adopted into the family once her family gave her up." The couple seemed surprised at this.

"We can take them both then! Please don't you have kids? It's hard on them!" The man tried to reason.

Naruto raised an eye brow. "I would do anything for my son, but at the same time I would also think about the animal too. They have feelings and they know." That and Naruto would be damned if he ever thought of giving up his furry animals. He came to think of them as his own sons too. Big brothers that protected Chou.

"You can see him, but taking him is out of the question. You should've fought this hard to understand him." Naruto would make them feel guilt. The other would never forgive someone like them for giving up such a great dog. But now he was with Sasuke and Luna was happy too.

"Chou, come here! Bring the others!" Naruto called out and running feet came in. The giant dog that was Snowball walked in a calm fashion smelling new people. Rupert walked in with Luna on his back.

Seeing his old family Rupert ignored them completely and went for Sasuke who scratched his head. Luna knowing them hissed since they were responsible for making Rupert go away once.

"Mommy! Luna is a princess!" Naruto's eye twitched looking at the cat. Luna's tail just swished but he could tell she was grinning.

"Wow...Rupert come here boy. Wow he looks...great." The couple couldn't believe that was their dog. Rupert didn't move and laid down next to Sasuke's feet. "Told you. They remember." Naruto reminded them. The guy got frustrated and glared at Naruto. "No one asked you! We said sorry and we came to get him back! That's what we are going to do!" Sasuke glared when the guy yelled at Naruto. Chou didn't like it and kicked the man in the knee.

The woman gasped and grabbed Chou by his arm. "So rude! You don't hit peo-ah!" Luna had lept into action when she grabbed Chou. Luna dug her claws into her leg hissing angrily. Naruto grabbed Chou quickly looking him over before ushering him upstairs.

Snowball was on attack mode though.

"Hey get that fucking thing off my wife!" Naruto stopped the man from touching Luna but the man tried to punch Naruto who didn't have enough time to block. Sasuke watched as the guy punched Naruto where he was shot, though he recovered the blonde was still sensitive in that area. Snowball growled threateningly and stepped in snapping his teeth when the guy tried to get closer to Naruto who was on the floor clutching his stomach.

Luna finally let go of the woman before running up the stairs were Chou was hiding making sure he was okay. Rupert was growling as well and when the woman tried to take him by his collar Sasuke pushed her away scowling. "He's mine. You've caused enough trouble bitch. Get the fuck out of my house." The man didn't let up. "We are taking him. Call the fucking police if you want." The man tried to take Rupert's collar and without warning Snowball clamped his teeth around the man's wrist.

"Help Rupert Luna!" Naruto swore his son was a fucking animal tamer. Because next thing he knew Sasuke was helping him up and he witnessed Luna attack the man's face. Snowball had finally let go and was nuzzling Rupert making sure he was okay while growling at the wife to make sure she didn't close to the older dog.

Granted Luna and Rupert were the same age, Luna had the fight in her. Rupert couldn't be put in risk and it seemed the animals knew this.

Eventually the police arrived and so did animal control.

The three animals were put in the back of the truck and Naruto was going to kill someone. Sasuke close to killing someone mainly the couple who were bloody.

"They were protecting us! Why the fuck are they being taken away?" Naruto yelled angirly. "They injured two people sir. We need too." "They attacked us and try to forcefully take my dog. The asswipe assulted him," He pointed over to a still wincing blonde. "Our animals are trained to protect. That is what they did." Sasuke was close to murder by now.

"Rupert was ours first! We came to get him back!" "You left him to rot in a shelter! You couldn't even tell us his best-friends fucking name!" Sasuke yelled finally having enough.

"Daddy is going to ruin you all." A small voice came from behind Sasuke and Naruto. The two whipped around seeing a very pissed Chou a cell phone in his hand.

"Kid, go back inside this is for grown ups." The man glared and Chou gave his own glare back which startled him.

"If you don't let my friends go, daddy will ruin you." Naruto figured the smaller boy found his cell phone and called Itachi. Which meant Itachi was told what happened, meaning Itachi was livid and already heading their way.

"Oh yeah? And who's your so called daddy? Another fag?" Naruto's eyes widen at the language. Sasuke couldn't believe how much of an idiot this guy was. Chou smirked. "My daddy is right there." He pointed to a black BMW. "And he brought his own friends." Chou felt glee over come him seeing his dad. Naurto knew he should be scared of how much this kid enjoyed it but alas Naruto knew this side of him. Especially if they hurt his family.

"You're kid is scary." Sasuke muttered and Naruto just nodded agreeing. "Itachi is his dad." He added quietly and Sasuke had to agree to that as well.

Police officers watched as Itachi got of his car his eyes blazing and his posture tense. Two more cars pulled up and Haku got out of one car and Naruto knew who was going to get out of the third car. Zabuza and with Ru and Sasu.

"Shit just got real." Sasuke couldn't help but grin too. "Damn Uchiha's. You guys are crazy." Naruto muttered shaking his head.

The couple couldn't believe who got out of the car. They didn't even put together that Sasuke was a Uchiha. In-fact they weren't even positive who Naruto was. This was not well planned. But not even a Uchiha could get away with what the animals did.

Itachi stalked up to the scene first checked Chou to make sure he wasn't bruised. When everything seemed good Chou ran up too Haku who caught him easily talking about how the mean people were bullying Rupert and his mommy. Haku was there for a very good reason.

Haku did his own check though on Chou just to double check. Can't blame him, Chou was really their love child. Naruto had heard him say it once and he couldn't stop laughing.

Itachi soon checked Naruto and his stomach and saw it discoloring where he was punched. Someone marked his fiance. Someone assaulted his fiance.

Bitches going to die.

He whistled and the other two dogs came to his side as soon as Zabuza let them go. "Who is the officer in charge?" A hand rose and Itachi beckoned the weary man over. "Who is the one who took my child's dog and brother's pets?" A shaky hand went up. Itachi beckoned him over too.

"Do you see these two?" He questioned treating them like children. Haku and Chou watched the scene gleefully a dark look on their faces as they enjoyed it. Zabuza just watched amused.

"Ru, Sasu." The two dogs stood at attention. "Go get them out." The two men watched as the two dogs worked together to free the two dogs and the cat. Less than five minutes. "Snowball, come here." Ordered Itachi the dog came over quickly bowing his head. "Sasuke." Itachi nodded to his little brother. "Rupert come here boy." He didn't have to call Luna since the other was back on sitting on the older dog. He checked him over and checked Luna and the two seemed perfectly fine to be back and out of the cage.

If Itachi wasn't as pissed as he was then he would have been proud of his dogs for getting the others out without much effort. Though he was sure it took a lot of processing for the dogs but still a proud moment. He would reward them later once this whole thing was taken care of.

"Now, you two, tell me. If these dogs were so untrained, so ruthless, tell me why they didn't go back to attacking those two?" He questioned as he snapped his fingers the three dogs standing at attention next to Naruto. Nothing was said because they were unsure how to answer. "So tell me now, is it possible that these two were the direct cause of getting attacked themselves. As in if these dogs were trained to protect certain people, or retaliate when they feel threatened how is it in anyway the animals fault? The aggression comes from the aggressor." He explained while asking them. Again talking to them as they were children though to give credit Chou was a lot smarter than most people believed.

"Chou, tell me, who was being mean to mommy?" He asked his son who was put down and ran to him with a smile. A sweet smile that made Naruto glad the boy was not going to grow up angry at the world cause that smile could take over the world if he wanted too. "That man yelled at mommy and Uncle Sasuke about taking Rupert away. I got mad and kicked him and that mean lady grabbed me. Luna was nice, she made the mean lady let go of me." Chou explained happily as he put his hand out to put Luna.

"What did he do next?" Itachi asked eyeing the man angrily and the woman who seemed really nervous now.

"The man was going to hurt Luna so mommy tried to stop him. Daddy! He hurt mommy! So Snowball got mad and protected mommy! He even protected Rupert when the bad man tried to steal him away! I told Luna to save Rupert too! Which is why the bad man looks ugly." He said excitingly and Itachi patted his head.

"Then the man called you a mean name. I know it's a mean name cause Uncle Garra beat up some guy who said the same thing when we were out." He said in a "I know what you said" tone.

"Go stand next to mommy now." Itachi instructed and Chou moved to Naruto grabbing his leg though smirked at the man and woman. "Told you daddy was going to ruin you" He mouthed to them. Sasuke had seen this and couldn't help but bow down to the kid well not right now but he was going to buy the kid a damn a freaking pony or some shit that Naruto would approve of.

"So did anyone ask my son what happened?" Itachi questioned the two law enforcers who seem to be looking at the couple with a glare.

"No sir...we were focused on getting the animals away to not endanger the child..." Okay well that could have played out well enough but Itachi raised an eye brow. "Chou, did you feel scared of Snowball, Rupert or Luna?" He questioned turning to the smaller child. Chou gave his dad the look "you're kidding right?"

"No, I was more scared of the mean people." He pointed two the couple. "They hurt mommy and tried to take Rupert and hurt Luna." Naruto swore he could hear the evil laughter in his son's head right now.

"Kid, I'm buying you a freaking zoo." Sasuke muttered under his breath.

"Now that you know what happened, that and my brother has camera's installed in his home," Sasuke had a look of 'I do?' but hid it well. "How much would you like to stake that these two were solely responsible for disturbing the peace of my little brothers home and assaulting my family?" Itachi chose his words carefully and Haku was glad he was there. More or less he and Zabuza were there to be witnesses and if things didn't go the right way, there was a right according to Haku, then the two were there to make sure it did.

"We apologize Mr. Uchiha we tried to handle the situation as best we could." "You were incompetent and upset my brother, my child and my fiance. Be aware you will be hearing from me." His eyes turned to the couple his eyes narrowed.

"You two will hear from me very soon. I will not be paying for you're wounds. I will not be paying a single thing concerning you two. You endanger my child, it seems I should give you the same respect." The threat was there and though he would never harm the child, he put his family first above all else. He will make sure they struggled for the next few years though set aside money for the boy until a certain age. It was a "fuck you" to his parents and really it was the best revenge.

"Have them arrested and out my sight now." He didn't even wait for them and turned to Naruto. "I want to get you to the hospital to make sure you're okay." Itachi noticed it was the same spot where he was shot. Naruto knew it was pointless to argue and just nodded now very tired.

"Hey Suigesto." Haku greeted the waiter who just now pulled up looking confused at the scene. "Hiya Sharky!" Chou greeted loudly to the oddly colored haired male who grinned sharp teeth showing. "Sup brat! What the hell happened?" He questioned looking to his boyfriend who was ready to strangle him well anyone actually.

Luna jumped into his arms and put her paw on his cheek. "Ah...I see. Shit happens man. Shit happens." Suigesto stroked Luna's head and Sasuke screamed in frustration. "They are both evil! That's how they communicate!" Sasuke swore Luna snorted and Suigesto just sighed, "He just doesn't understand..." and shook his head. Rupert put his paw on Sasuke's leg his tail wagging. Sasuke looked down to the older dog and instantly he could read his mind again.

"Like I said, you're screwed. Take it like a man."

Sasuke groaned and the other pair - cat and human- nodded to each other. "I think he understands now."

Itachi will never understand and he didn't want too. Partly because he was afraid of what the hell he might find out.

Ushering his family in the car he instruction Haku and Zabuza to draw up the papers and to watch Ru, Snowball and Sasu until they were back. "Best choice ever." Haku commented meaning it was the best choice to come and follow Itachi. Zabuza had to agree.

"Why were you here again?" Itachi asked after buckling Chou in his car seat.

"All I wanted to do was look at the damn flower arrangements. That's all I wanted to do." Naruto felt like complaining. Because really this would happen to him!

Itachi couldn't help but wonder of his fiance's luck.

While back at the house Sasuke was calming down and Suigesto was helping him clean up the mess the fight had managed to make. Which was really the blood.

"So...how did this even start?"

"Naruto was over to look at the flower thing Ino sent. That's all that was suppose to happen. Looking at flowers." The other snorted trying to stop his laughter.

"Well at least the two are happy." Meaning Luna and Rupert.

Sasuke paused and took a good look at them. Rupert was now tried and sleeping on his big bed and Luna's head was resting on his neck. Feeling the eyes Luna opened her eyes lazily her tail swishing slowly. Sasuke stared for a moment longer and the cat closed her eyes again the purring loud and clear.

Content and happy.

"Say what you will about their relationship, but those two are pretty much for life." Suigesto said with a happy grin. "Kinda like you and Naruto. Platonic soul mates." It made sense. Weird and odd but it made sense. "You guys need each other. They need each other and they were lucky enough to get picked for you. Maybe that's why Haku chose them." Suigesto suggested as he continued to scrub out the blood from the carpet.

Sasuke never really thought about it like that. He never put it in perspective as to why Haku chose them.

"Platonic soul mates...go figure."

Sasuke smiled shaking his head. "Wait, that doesn't explain why you get along with her." Sasuke stated narrowing his eyes.

"In due time boyfriend. In due time."

"I knew it, you are evil."

Suigesto only grinned at his boyfriends antics. He could only wonder what Naruto went through with his Uchiha.

"Uh...Sasuke what are you doing?"

"Looking for those damn camera's."

While at the hospital Naruto was being looked at by a nurse. "'Tachi, does Sasuke really have camera's in his place?"

"Of course. Chou plays there." "Does Sasuke know?" "He does now." "Wait...Tachi what if he did things!?"

A dark smirk came over his face. Naruto felt really bad for his best-friend.

"Our wedding is going to be glorious."

Naruto really didn't know what that meant. He was really scared to ask too.

Chou was just happy he could witness his dad be a "badass" and scare people. He learned of a few things from him of course!

But also the lesson for everyone was, don't ever mess with his family.

If it was one thing he learned from his mommy and daddy was that family was for life. Animal or human. You don't ever hurt someone or a living thing he cared about.

He may be a child, but his lessons that he learned left a good imprint in him.

"I love you mommy. I love you daddy." He said from the backseat smiling happily.

Itachi looked back a small smile coming over his face. "I love you too." Naruto just grinned happily. "I love you too, honey."

Chou smiled happily kicking his feet despite knowing he was going to the hospital to make sure his mommy was okay.

This was his family and he wouldn't have it any other way. Now he just had to figure out how to stop his daddy from deflowering his mommy forever.

Trust him, that was no easy feat.

Proud to say, this is the final chapter!

There may be a funny one-shot in the future but right now I don't think so.
