1st Fic. Good? Bad? Lemme know. R&R. no flames. please(:

Disclaimer; Nope. I (sadly) don't own Virals.

"Ben?"

I looked over, frustration from my inability to flame fumed through me. What could Tory want right now?

I met her eyes. Golden irises gleamed back at me. She had flared. Lucky. Suddenly, I saw her lift her hand from her side and with a great, flare-powered force, she slapped me. The palm of her hand came with enough power to knock me over.

I blinked hard and felt the flare take me over. I felt the world come into clarity around me and my onyx eyes change into a rocky gold. I could smell the weed killer still lingering on the wet grass I was laying in. I could see the innocent ladybug, 15 feet away, speeding away from us. I heard the car 10 blocks away running over a pebble.

Though, the only thing that I could really concentrate on was the hit, The wolf in me raged. Who hit me? The memory was lost during the change, but i did know one thing.

They were sitting right over there.

I turned and lunged at the person. Grabbing it's arms I dug my nails into it's flesh, I leaned over it and pushed in half in the moist grass. I was ready to attack.

I breathed heavily, nostrils flaring. Eyes turned to angry slits. Then I met it's eyes. Her eyes.

Tory.

She looked at me. Not totally scared, more waiting, anticipating the worse.

Tory.

'Stop,' I told myself. 'That's Tory. She's nice. Bossy, but nice. You like her. A lot. More than she knows, but she is all wrapped up with that ass, Jason. Wait-Stop, your hurting her, If you hurt her too badly you'll hate yourself. Stop, now, she was only trying to help you flare. Stop.'

I loosened my grip and gave a half-smile she probably didn't even see.

"Thanks," I gritted through my teeth, emotions flooding me. "Thanks." Hey. Silence was my thing.

She sighed, in relief, maybe,

"No problem," She returned. "You can let me go now."

I released her arms from my grip and stood up. I walked over to the hanging rope and grabbed it. Before climbing I looked at the Virals once more, at Tory once more. I let out a long breath and began climbing, repeating the same thing over and over in my head.

'That's Tory. She's nice. You like her. A lot...'

Well? Like it? R&R and let me know.
