I have absolutely no idea where this came from but I hope you guys like it!
Jennyanydots hurried through the piles of rubbish that made up her junkyard home to Tugger's den. Deuteronomy had asked her to fetch him so he could speak his son. Cat knows why the leader wanted to talk to him but Jenny would have betted her own tail that he was in trouble of some sort. He had probably been caught sneaking out of the junkyard again, or hidden Admetus's rumpus cat costume or convinced the kittens that he was Christ reborn or…
Jenny halted directly in front of Tugger's den door. She had been about to knock when she'd distinctly heard the words "Wow you are really good at this Tugger." Jenny had just enough time to freeze before she heard a second voice speaking.
"What did you expect Misto? I'm the Rum Tum Tugger! You of all people should know that I'm…"
"Yes I know of course, but I didn't expect you to me this good." Jenny's eyes flew wide open 'Mistoffelees!'
'I'm flattered Misto. But you're not too bad yourself. You're only a beginner and you've already made some excellent moves. But let's see what this does to you."
Someone (presumably Misto) huffed loudly.
"That's not fair Tugger! How was I supposed to see that coming?"
"You will one day Misto, it just takes practice."
"But who am I going to practice with?" none of the other toms are as willing as you."
"Well maybe we can do this more often. What do you sat Misto?"
"Shh don't talk to me, I'm trying something."
The next thing Jenny heard was a low grown followed by a shout of victory.
"I did it Tugger I did it!
"Hey I was just going easy one you that time."
"Admit it Tugger, you're just… whoops! Oh dear, look at the mess I've made, It's gone all over the floor."
"That's alright Misto; we'll just clean up and start over again. I'll be harder on you this time!"
This was enough for Jenny. She was not going to let licentious acts happen in her G-rated junkyard! She screamed and threw the door open, ready to drag the pair of them into the streets. Half a second later she was stand in the doorway gaping at the scene before her in bewilderment.
Tugger and Misto were crouching in the floor busy picking up chess pieces. Their fur was neat, the room was tidy, and their scent was normal, as proper as you please and no sense of guilt whatsoever. Between them was a chessboard with a rook, a knight and three pawns still on it though the knight had toppled over.
Misto look up at Jennyanydots and smiled brightly.
"Good afternoon Jenny" he said "Tugger's been trying to teach me how to play chess. But at you can see I knocked the board over when I checkmated him, I was very excited you see." He explained apologetically.
"I-I thought you were…"stuttered Jenny. Tugger sat up and looked at Jenny
"Misto and I have been doing this every day for the past week." He told her. "We're having fun but it's a pity that it's just the two of us. Do you know anyone else who knows chess? We have enough room in the den for three games at once."
This was too much for Jenny. Forgetting Deuteronomy's message she ran off as fast as she could too her own den leaving the two confused toms to wonder why she was behaving so oddly.
"Maybe she thought we were playing checkers?" mused Misto. Tugger nodded.
"That would be it, the two are easily mistaken." He said "have you seen the second castle Misto? I can't seem to find it anywhere."
