"Mum, I'll be down by the creek!" Lily shouted.

"Okay, have fun!" Lily grabbed her long, black jacket and threw it onto her shoulders.

"Going to see that boy I'm guessing?" Lily turned around to see Petunia standing there, with her arm crossed.

"Tuney, it's been almost eight years since we met him. I'd think you'd know his name."

"Oh, so now I should respect you lot?"

"Tuney, you're my sister, us "lot" are not very different so please mind your own bees-wax." Petunia rolled her eyes and stomped away.

Severus brushed snow off of the big rock by the creek. Quickly he clapped his hands, trying to get the snow off of his gloves.

Severus' gaze went to the little creek. Although the surface was frozen over, Severus could see red, green, and silver fish moving under it.

Lily kept having to stomp so she could actually get through the snow. She was short for being sixteen.

Luckily the streets were plowed so Lily was able to run down to the small creek Severus and her were usually at.

"Sev!" Her mood lightened up.

Severus turned to see Lily. Her coat was down to her knees and the gloves on her hands were the same color as her eyes. But Severus got mostly happy when he saw she was wearing the fox hat he bought her last year.

"Sev, you came!" Lily huffed as she stopped next to the rock.

"Of course I did, why wouldn't I?"

"I'd think you've gotten sick of me already." Lily laughed.

"Never." Severus said with a smile. Inside, Severus' heart was burning like a flame. His stomach was full of butterflies, which happened whenever he saw her.

"So what've you been doing?" Lily asked him. She sat down next to him on the rock, immediately setting her head on his shoulder.

"Oh… Just…" A long pause followed after. "Reminiscing…" Lily slowly closed her eyes and smiled.

"I love doing that…"

"Yeah…" Severus looked back down at the creek.

"My favorite memory was last year when you brought me to the astronomy tower…" Severus felt his cheeks get hot and knew he was blushing.

"That was fun…" Was all Severus could say. Quietly, he took out his wand and pointed to the snow.

"Hey Lily?" Lily lifted her head and opened her eyes.

"Yeah?" White snow went flying onto her face. Before Lily even got hit, she scrunched up her face.

Severus started laughing hysterically as Lily tried to get all the snow off.

"You are so lucky we're friends!" Lily laughed. Severus started to lean back as he laughed until; finally, Lily put her hand full onto his chest.

With a loud thump Severus fell into the snow. His hair had snow bits in it making it look like a starry night.

Now Lily was laughing. Severus pushed himself onto his hands, glaring at her.

As swift and as quiet as a ninja, Severus jumped up, grabbed Lily's waist and pulled her into the snow with him.

Together they laughed, both covered in snow. Only a few seconds more of laughter before they turned their heads to look at each other.

Slowly, Severus inched closer and closer.

Lily jumped on top of him and smiled devilishly; her heart racing. As quick as lighting, Severus pushed her head down, with his hands so they kissed.

Lily pushed harder onto Severus'. There was a good three minutes of just laying there, kissing, until Lily pulled her head up. Both of them trying to catch their breath.

"I love you, Sev." Lily whispered.

"I love you to, Lil." Severus smirked.

Petunia covered her mouth so they wouldn't hear her gasp. Petunia was only a few trees away. Watching and listening.

Quietly she walked backwards until she was far enough away so she could speak.

"They're together… That's not fair… I saw him first!" Petunia went running home.

Severus looked up to Lily, now realizing she was wearing his Slytherin scarf.

"I'll always love you, Lil." All Lily did was smile.
