Naruto Uzumaki, to her, had been a stormy, unexplained mess to her – up until now.

He was mysterious, and yet, he wasn't. He was touchable but intangible. He was simply Naruto.

He wasn't her former beau, Sasuke Uchiha, who with stark, dark looks and locks had never failed to put throbs from her heart through her chest.

He wasn't Shikamaru Nara whose quick wit, smarts and tactical mind send her shivers when he started talking "smart".

He wasn't even Kiba, who had that bestial charm that attracted the wilder girls, wilder than her sometimes.

But he was Naruto Uzumaki, hero of Konohagakure, hero of the world, defeater of Madara Uchiha.

He was the boy who she remembered – golden locks, a stupid but cute look on his face, and those true blue beautiful eyes of his.

He might have not have the genius swagger of Neji Hyuuga, the kind-heart of Choji Akimichi, and the soft, but well spoken Sai, but Naruto was Naruto.

He could electrify, electrify people with those words of him. He was what none of them could ever be – a leader.

She was always attracted to powerful men who could handle her, men who could stand up to her and stand up for her. None of the others had that. None.

And that's why she always thought he was hers, even if he went off and took Hinata on a date or two. Naruto never gave her up, always was selfless when it came to her, and never told her to stop chasing her desires in life.

To her, he was her Naruto Uzumaki. Hers.

But she probably would never even tell anyone that.

Not even him.

Better let herself watch than to get hurt.

Even if she knew Naruto would never hurt her like Sasuke, Shikamaru and Kiba did, she was still is.

...But he still was hers. Nobody could ever say different.

Whether he was a best friend of his, or her next lover, she always prided herself to have the heart of the Rokudaime as hers.

End

A/N: A little idea I came up. Hope you enjoyed the oneshot.
