Lost and Found

Princess Ahim de Famille was lost. This was not simply a matter of not knowing where she was, though that certainly was the case. No, this variety of lost was the product of having lost everything, of her home and all that she'd ever known no longer existing. For what could being the princess of the planet Famille mean in a universe where that planet was only a memory? What did the name Ahim mean anymore, now that those who gave her that name and cherished it were as dust drifting over a barren wasteland? Ahim looked through the viewing window of her ship and tried to see the war that raged across all the stars as the Zangyack Empire continued to grow with each passing moment. Her eyes caught the star that her home world orbited around, and she was beset by memories.

Famille, while not an aggressive world, was neither one of complacent peace. When the Zangyack came, her father and mother declared that not one man, woman, or child would capitulate to the invaders, that all would do their part in defending the sanctity of their homes. And indeed, each and every man, woman, and child gave their life in defense of the world they loved, just as the Royal Family had declared they would. The captain of the Royal Guard, a vain and arrogant woman full of conceit over her own beauty, fought harder than any in the planet's long and storied history, shooting down countless Gormin, Sgormin, and even Action Commanders with a grace unheard of, until even she fell, protecting her princess. This history, now lost forever save for the scraps that Ahim held within her own memory, was one she could not dwell upon.

Then, quite suddenly, she was boarded by a crimson ship; she'd heard of the Red Pirates, but was sure that they'd been destroyed by the Zangyack some time ago. The captain, a marvelous man with a red coat asked who she was and whether she had ever heard of the 'ranger keys'. There were three others with him, a cool man in blue, a bright woman with an eager glint in her eye, and a fretful man dressed in green. She told them who she was, and that she knew nothing of what they spoke of. The captain smiled playfully, and handed her a small pink figure, asking if she would like to be Gokai Pink and search for the Greatest Treasure in the Universe with them.

Princess Ahim de Famille knew nothing about pirates, and each moment she spent with this small, unusual crew she felt like she knew even less. There was however one thing that she knew for certain; she was no longer lost, not in any sense of the word. She had been found, and found her new home, one that she would cherish and never take for granted.
