I was packing my bags to go back home while dad was at work. Charlie was back from his fishing trip and I had to go back there. There was no way he would let me move in here, so I was stuck there. I was fine with that, really, but I knew I would miss the daily signs of love. So, once I was done packing I sat down to write a letter for dad.
Dear Dad,
I'm sorry I can't be here more. I love you, but Charlie needs me more right now. I don't know how much I see of you anymore until the wedding, but I wish it was more. I wish I could somehow stay here. Because in all my life I've never had a father much less a dad, but you took me in and made me your daughter. You showed me what it meant to be loved by father, and to have a family. It took 18 years for me to understand that letting someone else take care of me was just fine. So, I wanted to say thank you for taking care of me.
Love you always,
Bella Swan
I placed the letter, more of a note really, on my pillow, and grabbed my bags. Pulling them all on to my back I walked out to my truck and left trying not to look back.
