Data Log Entry: #21840519

Well you didn't think you were going to get rid of me that easily did you, mister (or miss) top secret Alliance Officer reading my data logs.

It's been two weeks since the attack on the Citadel. Things are slowly getting back to normal. Liara has been volunteering with the clean up. I guess being one of the strongest biotics in the galaxy sure does have its perks. The asari counselor has put us up in a rather swanky apartment on the upper east side while we are helping out.

The place is magnificent. It even has a water fall inside; INSIDE. How cool is that?

Liara seems really at home here. She already knows where everything is and how to operate it; like she's done it for years. It's kind of weird actually, but I keep forgetting to bring it up. I mean since day one, she knew where everything was. Maybe it is because it is an asari apartment. Oh well, no biggie. She can keep showing me where the garbage disposal activator is.

A big smile is sweeping across my face right now. I thought about my pretty blue. I can't believe I've internally nicknamed her 'blue' since I heard Joker use the phase. Somehow it seems intimately familiar. I really like it. Although, she is working herself like a dog, each night she comes home exhausted and the best I can do is give her a hot cup of tea and a foot rub. Yeah, the two of us who have been called the Saviors of the Galaxy, for fun, like to sip tea and give foot rubs. I can't think of a better way to spend the evening. I think the public would be shocked we weren't killing something for sport. At least that's how it sounds in the media.

However in reality, it's safer to stay home. The two of us can't go anywhere without a mob following us. Most of the time, when we are separated, it's easier not to get noticed. Even the docking bay of the Normandy is jammed packed with tents and people dying to get a look at the first human spectre. It can be quite daunting. Good thing Tali seems to love the attention. She says the number of people don't bother her. In fact, it reminds her of being back on the Flortilla.

When she comes with Liara and me, she's like a celebrity on cloud nine. But for all that she's done to help us, the professor and I can hardly refuse her simple request. My young quarian friend is like a kid in a candy store.

Now that I'm writing about it, I feel kind of bad. I haven't really been 'helping' with the clean up. Per Udina and the council's request, I have been giving speeches and seminars about how the galaxy is a safer place now.

Udina calls it a Good Will mini Tour. He wants me to do it back in the Sol system as well, but I am hoping the Alliance has better things for me to do.

It's strange but I haven't really heard from the Alliance since the attack. All I got was a short vid from Anderson saying take as long as I needed to heal and that the Alliance would be 'in touch". According to my file, I've officially been put on R& R; rest and relaxation. Well it's nearly two full weeks and no.. touching has occurred. I don't know if that's a blessing or curse. Remind me to check my credits account. I wonder if I am even still employed by the Alliance.

Ash went back to Earth for three weeks leave. Tali is hacking, I mean repairing valuable data systems on the Citadel. Garrus has barely left her side – just in case that ankle starts acting up again. Wrex has returned to Tuchanka. He says we wants to help serve his people and hopefully helping to unite the clans would be the trick. I wish him the best of luck.

LCDR Pressly has also taken leave while the Normandy is in dry dock receiving so much needed repairs. Dr. Chakwas doesn't know how to stop either and has been helping out at the hospital on the Citadel. I've heard through the grapevine that she has saved numerous lives while she's been there. Speaking of scuttlebutt, I heard a strange rumor that Dr. Chakwas had been taken away, along with a few other posh executives, both asari and humans, from one of the high scale casinos on the station. Evidently her companions were not too pleased with being scammed by the establishment and refused them further service in their private chamber. I heard C-Sec was called but no one was charged.

In fact, C-Sec has no record of the incident and everything seems to be hush hush about it. Apparently, the doc has some friends in very high places. It is certainly something I plan to inquire about during our next 'late night cocktail hour'.

Well I'd better get off here. Liara should be back soon. I want to get dinner ready. I hope I remember which buttons to push. I knew I should have recorded the directions when she said too. But the Savior of the Galaxy doesn't need instructions on how to work the oven. (long pause) Thank Goddess, there are a lot of take out places around here.
