Blind

"Why are you so blind?" he suddenly asked me.

"Huh?" I just asked as I gave him a puzzled look.

He just stared at me silently, a serious look on his face. A look which I've never seen on his face.

"I'm not blind…" I mumbled my answer and looked back at my book. He put his hand on top of my book and whispered: "But you are."

I looked up at him, slowly, and after a long moment asked, "And how is that?"

"You don't see how people hurt you or how they use you", He replied calmly.

I just shrugged my shoulders and pushed my glasses a little higher up on my nose. What could I say?

"Sigh…Well, I'm just being nice", I replied, looking at the white roof.

"Being nice is different than being blind", he replied in his serious voice.

I turned my look back to him and frown. Why he just could drop it? I seriously needed to read this book for school! And it wasn't the easiest one to read.

"Fine", I snapped and turned back to my book.

"Why you kept torturing yourself if you know it? There isn't any reason for it", he said, and I heard lean back in his chair.

I didn't bother to look at him.

"I don't torture myself and could you be quiet? I really have to read this", I answered, when I suddenly heard a little titter.

Surprised, I glanced up at him, since he rarely laughed or did anything what was too humanlike!

"What?" I asked. He just smirked at me.

"Oh, but you do. You seem to enjoy that people call you by all sorts of evil names, treat you like a piece of dirt…etc", he answered, with that familiar smirk on his lips.

"I don't enjoy it…But it's my fault, because I've then probably messed up and-…" I began, when he rolled his eyes.

"Mess up? You more like destroy things. But still, it doesn't mean you've got to accept their all words and dance along to their tune."

"I don't dance along to their tune. Beside, I'm trying to help them change-…Stop doing that!" I said, annoyed, as large smirk started growing on his lips.

He was just so good getting people irritated at him.

"You can't change them even you wanted to. It's up to that person if they want to or not", he said snickering a little bit. I gave him a sharp look.

"Says a person who changed fairly well," I mumbled and turned back to my book.

I could hear a little scribbling; he apparently had started writing something.

"Well I was evil, I admire that, but I was also blind. Like you are now…" He said, and then I heard the chair slide back and his footsteps retreating.

I looked up, surprised, and saw only his back.

I just kept staring as he walked away and stepped outside the library's big doors. I just can't understand him at all!

I shook my head and I was turning back to my book when I spotted a piece of paper he had been scribbling on.

"Huh?" I mumbled and pulled it closer.

Pushing my glasses back up, I could now see the scribble in it. What took my attention at first was that his handwriting was little bit curly, but not too much. It still had a so-called manly touch. And the paper…Where ever he had got it, it must have been the last one. After that I start read what he had actually written down. There were only three clauses:

"Love is blind. Love is blind. Love is blind."

"Huh?" I said, rewinding our conversation in my head.

Just then it hit me. He wanted all this time say these three words, what where hardest for him to express.

I felt my heart jump and without thinking I ran after him. I rushed out the library's door and grabbed then its' doorknob opening those, and shouting: "Wait, Pai!"
