"Did you really mean what you said?" Emily asked Jayden as she sat next to him smiling. "Hmm" Jayden asked with a mouth full of cake. Emily laughed. "About me being the best." Emily asked handing Jayden a napkin. Emily couldn't believe it they called her the best. It was so unexpected Emily had always thought of Jayden as the best, the one that the team couldn't survive without, the fearless leader who would be more important, but if not Jayden than Kevin, if not Kevin than Mia, and if not Mia than Mike. Jayden smiled at her. "Of course I meant it, but Mike did say it first, He went berserk after you fell back asleep." Jayden sighed "I think he likes you" Jayden said looking at Emily. Emily didn't know what to say. She didn't even like Mike that way. He was just a brother figure to her. Emily hoped that Mike was just going crazy because Emily was like his sister, not his crush. It would be too hard to break it to Mike if he felt that way. Emily finally thought of something to say, but she hesitated "I-I" Emily stammered "What? Tell me." Jayden said giving her an encouraging shove. "I think Mia likes you." Emily finally pointed out. Jayden froze for a minute. Had she just said that? Why would Mia like Jayden considering the fact she's always talking to Kevin. He didn't feel that way about Mia either. He chuckled after cleared his thoughts "I don't think so; besides Mia isn't my type" Jayden said taking another bite of cake. Emily felt herself blush, but she didn't understand why. "Yeah, I don't think of Mike like that either. He's too rebellious for me." Emily said "So you like the soft and poetic type of guys that hang out at Starbucks and read Hamlet novels?" Jayden asked. Emily laughed "When did we start talking about types" Emily asked. "What's the opposite of rebellious? Soft, Quiet, and Romantic." Jayden said while chuckling. Emily slapped his arm "There is a middle ground you know" She playfully scolding him. "And what's that?" Jayden asked. "The middle ground is that the guy breaks the rules for good intentions; not for fun, He has to be brave, but in a smart way, He has to know when space is needed, and he has to care, but not blow thing out of proportion." Emily said. Jayden was an oblivious guy when it came to love so he didn't know that Emily accidently described him. "Hmm" Jayden simply said. "What about you? I'm pretty sure your type is the confident, glamorous, sassy, and mysterious girl." Emily said. Jayden laughed "Not really I don't think I can keep up with that," Emily smiled. "Well what is your type?" Emily asked. "She has to complete me. As in she has to be able to make me smile, she has to be bubbly, sweet, pretty of course, but has to be able to get me out of my shell, and she has to be easy to talk to." Jayden said. Emily smiled. "That's really sweet Jayden," Emily said "I hope that girl comes" Emily said. "So do I, but I can wait." Jayden said. "I hope you find your guy too." Little did Jayden or Emily know their type was sitting right beside them. The two still forgot how they ended up talking about types
