I nodded but had a feeling she really meant to send her an owl, my father would want nothing to do with me.

After sending my parents off, Severus and Remus walked me to Severus' rooms.

"I'll go find Harry and fill him in. I expect you both for dinner," Remus said giving me a grin and kiss on my forehead.

Severus and I nod before making our way in to our home, Severus making sure to inform me of the new password before we settled in bed for a much needed rest. We settled in bed him spooning me with a hand on my belly.

Author's POV

A handful of months have passed since that day at the hospital wing, since the day the truth was truly revealed and they'd all found out that she was indeed carrying twins...Sev's twins.

Hermione shifted on her bed moaning and groaning as she did at the physical discomfort she felt as she did so.

"You know you shouldn't get out of bed my sweet," her husband, Severus, said as he walked in with a tray filled to the brim with food.

"I need the loo," she said grumpily, "Your children keep playing football with my organs and your daughter seems to have taken permanent residence sitting on my bladder!"

Severus wisely kept his mouth shut and pushed down the bubble of laughter that was working it's way out at the utterly adorable image his very pregnant wife made even while she meant looked like she could kill you. He put the tray down and set to help his wife to and from the bathroom being mindful of the many pillows she uses and where.

Hermione grinned at her loving, and more than attentive, husband. He had become attentive and more aware of her as his partner since after that day. He'd turned over a new leaf, at least when it came to her and their family...she couldn't have been happier for them.

Severus and Remus had made a pact. They would work through the tall order that was their seven years as Hogwarts students, every 'prank', negative verbal exchange where Severus was provoked and every physical altercation the Marauders took against him for merely existing. They would discussed and worked through until peace was mutually found. At first the men did it for Hermione's sake, find peace and the woman they both love (in different ways) and care for will see it good enough not to push the matter again. Neither thought there was going to be any progress at an amicable anything between them, both thinking there was too much horror for there to be anything.

Both men were surprised to find a friendship forging from the embers of their past. One that was becoming deeper than even the bond Remus shared with the Marauders themselves. The though that the only thing that really bound him and the Marauders at all to begin with was the fact that he is a wolf. He is sure they wouldn't have paid him any mind if he were as average as their peers had been and if they did he was more than certain he'd have been picked on for being smart...just like Hermione was.

And Severus for his part found himself thinking that had it not been for the fact that Remus was recruited for his furry little problem that they would have made good friends while in school despite their difference in house. Friends in school and best mates out of it...but somethings were not meant to be, at the time anyway. He also discovered the underlying fear that Remus was under. Not all the time but during the times when James and Sirius would bully Severus. He knew the dynamic duo gave the excuse of beating him up or being different and a slytherin, he wondered if they'd have turned their backs on Remus and revealed him to be a werewolf if he stood up to their shenanigans. Would they have turned their backs on Remus if the lycan had stood against them? In short yes. Especially if it was he who Remus was defending.

It took them both a long time to come to terms with their respective childhoods. For Severus it was the ladder from the abuse in his home as a child to the things that were done to him on Hogwarts grounds under the so called security and protection of one Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.

While they included Hermione in some of their talks, they more often than not did it on their own away from prying eyes and ears. In the end, the pair have forged and are nurturing a unique bond that will most certainly grow once the babies are born.

Harry had taken the news of twins more than well and called being godfather.

Molly Weasley seemed to make it her mission to make sure Hermione knew that she and hers will always be welcome in her home no matter what Ron had done.

This warmed the younger woman. Hermione was more than happy to see that she hadn't lost her extended family to all the drama that had come around when Ronald admitted to not only wanting her but a harem of women at his beck and call.

As the days flew by, Hermione's own parents came around more. Her mother in particular wanting to make it up to her daughter for telling her the truth about her parentage while her father, while not publicly against anything now, held Hermione at arm's length much to her sadness. Hermione's own mother tried to get through to him to no avail which more than likely will affect his relationship with his grandchildren.

When the big day arrived a bed ridden Hermione woke Severus at the wee hours of the morning with a shove to the floor, "My water broke so unless you want to play midwife, get me to the hospital wing."

A half asleep Severus nodded before the news hit him like the Hogwarts Express.

"Bags are by the door, nursery is done, everything I can thing of now is ready all we need is you to give birth," he listed to himself as he put a pair of pajama pants over his navy boxers and helped Hermione to the bathroom to help clean her up with a quick wave of his hand.

He acciod her a new long sleeping gown and draped his bath robe over her before walking her to the hospital wing where one Hermione Snape gave birth to Eileen Hope Snape and Severina Lyla Snape.

Remus was touched they'd decided to use their parents' names for the babes and knew that Rina would bring hope to the name which bestowed upon him his furry little problem. And he knew for certain the years that will follow them as a united family will be plentiful and with no lack of pranks in sight.
