Disclaimer: I don't own anything. YET.
"Hurry, up Carly! Go down the slide already!" Four year old Kendall yelled to his equally-aged friend, Carlos who was gripping the sides of the tallest slide in the playground tightly, scared to slide down.
"But it's a really long way down!" Carlos yelled, looking down at the red slide with fear shining in his innocent brown eyes.
"I dared you to do it and you promised you would so go!" Kendall yelled. They were giving each other dares for fun while they waited for their two other friends, James and Logan to come to the playground.
"But Kendy, can't I do this another time? I'm really scared!" Carlos complained.
"You're scared? But you said you want to be a superhero and superheroes should never get scared!" Kendall said.
"But what about Superman in that episode when—"
Carlos was cut off when he saw Kendall climb on top of the ladder to push him down the slide. The younger boy screamed a high-pitched scream as he came tumbling down before finally hitting the playground's sandy ground. Crystal tears made their way down his cheeks as he felt a throbbing pain on his lower lip. He put a tan finger on it and felt a cut. Kendall immediately climbed down the ladder and rushed over to his best friend to apologize and see if he was alright.
"Carlos, are you okay? I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to push you!" The little blonde boy said, crouching down to look at the shorter boy's face. He hugged his friend tightly, feeling wet tears soak his blue Power Rangers shirt.
"What hurts?" Kendall asked, pulling away from the hug. The Latino simply stuck out his bottom lip and pointed to it.
"Do you want me to kiss it to make you feel better?" Kendall asked, holding his friend by the shoulders.
"But you don't have magic kisses that make the hurt go away like my mommy does!" Carlos said.
"Maybe I do! My mommy said that my kisses always make her feel better so maybe it'll make you feel better too!" Kendall said, wiping one of Carlos' tears away.
"Okay, let's try it," Carlos said, rubbing his eyes. The beanie wearing boy leaned in and the pair's lips made the briefest of contact before they pulled away, cheeks tainted matching blushes of pink.
"Did it work?" Kendall asked, tilting his head to the side. The other boy simply nodded and mumbled an "Uh-huh." Kendall smiled sweetly and stood up, pulling Carlos to his feet.
"Oh, wait, Kendy! My cheek hurts too! Can you kiss me again?"
