ooohhh look at this very short snippet. i am actually pretty proud of it b/c i was able to write something so short.

it was inspired by Black-Cat164's story, Quality Time With Akamaru. ... go read it! i was trying to do something from kiba's perspective. hope you guys like it.

oh and for you home again geeks...i am currently 'editing' it. hopefully it will be up by sunday. my goal was friday, but my kid has a track meet tomorrow. GO KNIGHTS!

btw, this is a yaoi pairing.

Fireflies.

A long time ago Kiba couldn't understand how anyone could have bugs living inside their body. He could remember as a child, when the dogs they raised got ticks or fleas. They got everywhere. He couldn't decide which part was worse the biting, jumping, or his mother shaving his head bald. So when he first met Aburame Shino, he immediately hated him. Not only were the bugs disgusting, but Shino was smart, almost conceited the way he looked down at everyone over his glasses. Kiba didn't like smart, well people that made him feel like they were smarter than he was. Not just that, Shino was freakishly quiet. How could anyone ever know what he was feeling? Then there was his wardrobe. It was as if he tried to seal himself away from any kind of contact. Everything about the Aburame pissed him off. How was it then, he could fall deeply in love with a man who was sometimes smug, smarter than he, closed off, and full of bugs? This thought often popped in his mind when it was quiet and crickets sang in the darkness. Though not this evening, where the sky was a dark purple, with sprinkled spots of white, and Shino had a small cluster of fireflies lighting up just for them. Kiba's fingers threaded through the soft mass of brown hair and realized he could live with a flea or two.

shortest thing i ever wrote besides my grocery list.

i would really like to know what everyone thinks...so please if you want read and review.
