Happy noticed that Dog walked away and shook his head. He would give his President and friend a minute alone before he followed him. He knew that he couldn't let Dog be alone with the way his head was right then. He may not know Kaeli, but even he had a hell of a time hearing everything that Kendra had told Clay and Dog. He looked at Clay and then nodded towards the doors that led outside. He turned on his heels and headed outside to talk with Dog. When he saw his friend sitting on a picnic table he walked over to him. "You doing okay, Brother?"

Dog shook his head as he looked at Happy. "Not really, Hap. I wish that Kaeli, Khloe, or Kendra would have told me about what went down all those months ago. I hate that Kaeli had to deal with it all on her own. I understand now why she is the way she is and I fuckin' hate it. My sisters and Kendra are all tough bitches, but they should have come to Clay and I because if nothing else we could have been there to support them."

Happy rubbed a hand down his face as he sat down beside Dog on the picnic table. "I may not know your sisters or Kendra, but from what I have seen they don't like leaning on anyone else. They all prefer to handle their shit on their own just like we do. The only thing you can do is be there for her when she needs you. What happened to her is fucked up, but she got through it and she'll get through the shit that she's feeling now."

Dog nodded. "I know that she will, but she needs to remember that she has a whole bunch of people who she can talk to about the shit she's been through. If she's holding everything inside, then she is gonna blow her fucking stack and there will be nothing that stops it from happening. Honestly, I'm hoping that Jax will get her to open up to him. Those two have always been close."

Happy frowned. "Were they ever together?"

Dog snorted. "Hell no. It was hilarious to watch because anytime that Kaeli tried to date Jax would scare the fuck out of whatever guy was sniffing around her. Jax has been and always will be really protective of Kaeli and that is his story to tell. Just know that if you see Jax and Kaeli together that it is platonic. They may sleep in the same bed, hold hands, kiss one another, and everything else, but they never once crossed the line and fucked one another. When Kaeli was in High School Tara got pissed because Jax would leave her side to always go check on Kaeli during the day."

He rolled his eyes. "I lost count how many times people had mistaken the relationship of Jax and Kaeli. If it wasn't the fact that I knew they didn't see one another like that I would have thought, they were together and married to each other. Opie will keep close to Khloe once she is awake and moving around because those two have always been thick as thieves. Kendra, Kaeli, and Khloe all have their favorite Sons that aren't related to them. I'm not looking forward to telling Jax what happened to Kaeli because he will blow his top and I'm not sure that he will be able to contain his anger."

Happy shrugged. "If he can't contain his shit I'll take him into the ring. She's fighting her own demons, so she doesn't need his along with hers."

Dog looked at Happy with narrowed eyes. "What is going on with you and my sister, Hap?"

Happy scoffed, "Not a damn thing, Prez. That woman has a fuckin' mouth on her."

Dog snorted. "She always has been mouthy. She doesn't take shit from anyone and she gives it back ten times what she gets. She's never been the kind of girl who lets a man run her life. Hell, most of the time when we lived in Charming it was her giving Clay orders because she refused to take any order that he gave her. It doesn't really surprise me that she is the LoD President of the Tacoma charter. My guess is that she takes care of her girls just like she took care of all the Sons when she lived in Charming even though she was only in high school. You could do worse than my sister, Hap."

Happy looked at Dog in surprise. "I would have thought you'd warn all of us, but especially me to keep away from your sisters, Prez. Besides you and I both know that I wouldn't be able to stick to just one woman."

Dog shrugged. "Do you really think my sister would be sticking to just one man? I wonder if any of her Sisters have an Old Man."

Happy's eyes hardened. "That right there is why I wouldn't get with your sister, Dog. I would kill any mother fucker who fucked her while I was with her. It doesn't matter that I know how runs go, but if I were to ever find out who she fucked I would kill them without blinking. It's one thing for me to fuck the Sweetbutts that I know my Brothers have fucked, but no way in hell would I stand by and let a woman I'm with fuck others."

Dog laughed. "Then it is a good thing that you ain't getting with Kaeli, Hap, because she wouldn't go for that. I never thought of it the way she was talking about it last night, but what she said was the truth. We can't hold the women in an MC to a set of different standards and rules than the ones we live by as it is. We can't look down on them for doing the same shit that we ourselves do."

Happy stood up. "I agree which is why I can't and won't get with your sister. Besides her and I would be fighting constantly about shit."

Dog nodded. "That is true. I love my sister, Hap, but even I know that she isn't one to do what a man tells her to do. She has always had her own moral code and set of rules that she lives by. She won't give up her independence for just anybody and if she did I would have to take her to get checked out by a doctor. Kaeli is even more independent then Khloe and Kendra which is saying something. She'll do what she wants when she wants, and she won't ask anybody's permission. That is just who and how Kaeli is and I wouldn't change her for the world."

He stood up. "I should get back inside and check to see if Khloe is up yet. I don't expect Kaeli up for at least another hour or two which should be about the time that Jax gets here."

He led the way back into the clubhouse and smiled when he saw that Khloe was indeed up and sitting on Opie's lap. He should have known that is where he would find her as long as she was up and moving around. He headed back to the dorms and poked his head into his dorm room. He smiled softly when he saw that Kaeli was still out like a light and then shut the door to his room. He took in a deep breath and let it out as he headed back out to the main part of the clubhouse.
