Hey, everyone! This is just a short tribute!fic in memory of Elisabeth Sladen, most known for her role as Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was needed. RIP to a great actress. As always, please review!

In Memory Of
One-shot

No one really ever looked under Puck's bed. It was a basic rule of thumb. Don't look under there and you won't find something that will scar you for life. No one knew that hidden in an old shoe box were seasons upon seasons of Doctor Who.

So he was a closet sci-fi fan.

Shut up.

It was just Doctor Who, the Sarah Jane Adventures, and Torchwood (though, Children of Earth? Totally didn't exist in his Janto-loving mind). He'd never been able to get into anything else in the genre.

He'd seen the early episodes, the ones from before Russell T. Davies revived it. He'd seen when Sarah Jane first entered the show. She was one of his favorite companions.

Maybe it made him a chick, but the choked sound that escaped him when he went online and saw the headlines saying that Elisabeth Sladen had died? Completely deserved. She'd been awesome.

Totally fucking awesome.

The least he could do was skip school and spend the day curled up with his DVDs in some weird little memorial. Episode after episode with the sonic screwdriver his mom and sister had gotten him last year for Hanukkah in hand, clicking it every so often so it would make its little sound.

And maybe he was wearing an old Doctor Who shirt.

Shut the fuck up.

So maybe his eyes were a little wet. Don't fucking blame him. It's like when his mom tried to watch Dirty Dancing after Patrick Swayze died.

It feels wrong.

"I thought you'd be here."

Puck looked up at the sound of Kurt's voice. Kurt stood in his doorway, a sad smile on his face.

"How?" he asked, eyes darting back to the episode still playing on his screen.

"Figured it out about the time I started seeing a bunch of tribute arts popping up on my Tumblr," he said, sitting beside Puck on the bed. "I've been dating you for six months, Puck. If you want to hide the DVDs better, don't keep them next to the sex toys."

Puck snorted back a laugh as he leaned back into the pillows. "This sucks," he murmured, watching as Sarah Jane reunited with the Tenth Doctor on his television screen.

"I know."

The End
