I don't own any part of Kimi No Todoke. Please read and review :)

The bells of the church rang, causing the birds to flutter away from their rest. People started shouting "Congratulations!" to their faces, and I could not help but make smile myself. There Chizuru was, beautiful as ever, her eyes gleaming. She was wearing the perfect shade of lipstick she could ever own. Ayane did a pretty good job with her face, but then, she looked pretty even if she did not have make-up on.

"Congratulations Chizu-chan!" Sawako's voice rang beside my ear. I looked at her and see Shota smiling like a stupid puppy. My smile turned into a grin: he really was enchanted by Sawako. It was good that they got married and now, Sawako was pregnant with their first child. Chizuru grinned at Sawako and gave her a big hug, tears on the edge of her eyes. This was so like her, crying when she felt like it. Ayane gave a face of horror: Chizuru would probably smear her make-up off with her tears, wasting Ayane's perfect job.

Ayane was the next one in line for a hug from Chizuru, and next came Shota. They were busy talking with each other when that guy tapped my shoulder. "Ryu."

I looked at him and offered my hand. He took it and shook it. "Congratulations," I said, trying to sound not too bitter.

"I have full load on my hands," he replied, looking lovingly at her, the girl who made my life run. I followed his eyes and settled my gaze at her. She was beautiful, she was shining. Her smile was dazzling although tear streaks were present on her face. Her wedding dress was a perfect fit for her, making her look like a lady, but still the Chizuru I knew and grew up with.

"Take care of her, okay?" I said, my eyes still on her. I heard hi chuckle and answer a strong "Yes." to me. He tapped me on the shoulder before greeting the other guests.

"Ryu!" Chizuru hugged me tightly. I was tackled by her; nevertheless I regained my composure. I hugged her back and tried to settle my head on hers. It was quite impossible, since she was wearing heels, making our heights almost close to each other.

"Congratulations," I whispered.

"Thanks," She whispered back.

I hugged her tightly, not wanting to let her go, even if I had to. Letting go of her right now was quite impossible, and so is letting go of the memories we had together: the simple times where she only thought of me as a brother, the times where we almost had it all, the time when she said she wasn't for me anymore. We remained close friends like before. I was there for her, and she was for me. I will always be there for Chizuru. In my head, we will always be together. It was painful to see her get married not to me, but her happiness was my happiness, too.

I painfully let go of her and tried to smile. "Don't do any stupid things, okay?" It was like sending a younger sibling off on a field trip.

She smiled goofily, doing a Peace-sign on her hand. "Like I would, stupid. And don't get stingy on me. We still have the reception. When you get married, I'll be stingy to you, too."

"I'll have to find someone like you," I wanted to say. I bit my tongue and smiled instead.

Their car arrived. He carried Chizuru into the car. The other guests were piling up in the car pools toward the reception area.

"Ryu, let's go." Shota said. I followed him, Sawako, and Ayane to one of the cars.

"I'll have to find someone like you," I whispered to myself. "Sounds easy,"

The problem was no one was like Chizuru.
