Mount Doom with Sam

Cowritten with my friend Arwen and published with her permission, a Lord of the Rings poem in the style of Green Eggs and Ham.

Dr. Seuss was challanged to write a story containing only 50 separate words, and he came up with Green Eggs and Ham. Arwen and I wondered if it could be done with Lord of the Rings. Apparently it can.

I am Sam. Sam I am.
Master dear is in a jam.
He must climb way up Mount Doom
To crush the Ring in Mount Doom gloom.
Will you climb Mount Doom with Merry?

I will not climb Mount Doom with Merry.
To climb Mount Doom is way too scary.

But you faced a scary blizzard!
Will you climb up with a wizard?

Though I faced a scary blizzard,
I will not climb up with a wizard.
I will not climb Mount Doom with Merry.
To climb Mount Doom is way too scary.

Will you climb up with a ranger?

Sam, I say, that's even stranger!

But the ranger is dear Strider!
He will crush the scary spider!
