A/N: So, a while back I had started to write some Naruto drabbles and now I've decided to upload them...and continue writing them. They're going to be based on the members of the Akatsuki, obviously.

Warning: I guess it can be considered crack-ish? And I apologize for the slight OOC-ness on Pein's part, I don't really know his character.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Akatsuki members or anyone else in the Naruto-verse for that matter.

Red Clouds, Black skies
Drabble 1:
Initiation preparations

"You have done well, Itachi. Welcome to the Akatsuki." A young man dressed in the organizations cloak spoke. Red clouds floating in a material of endless black sky. His ears, nose and mouth studded in multiple piercings. Pien.

"You're partner will be Kisame. He proved to be the best suited after analyzing your abilities." As he spoke again, a figure entered the room that was currently occupied by Itachi and Pein. The newcomer looked mostly human, excluding his blue skin and those beady black fish like eyes.

The blue man strode towards Itachi; something black in his hand. When he reached the Uchiha, he handed the object over, which Itachi realized was an identical cloak to what the others were wearing. "I'm Kisame Hoshigaki."

Before Itachi could reply, a bang echoed in the room. Both Kisame and Itachi looked over to the table. Pein spoke, "Now, onto the next important process."

Itachi's expression must have changed, even in the slightest after seeing what appeared on the once empty table.

"You and your partner must complete your first mission together….So, what will it be?"

Itachi looked at the various assortments of nail polish on the desk, but before he even collected himself to respond, a new voice boomed behind them.

"You better not choose green or Jashin-sama will freakin' smite you!"
