In which Gabe decides that he ought to give Henry a little talking to. Just sprang into my mind this morning, so…here ya' go. Just a one-shot, I think. Thanks and enjoy.

Okay, Gabe didn't know how they had gotten to this point, and it was really starting to gross him out. And, even worse, why was he watching? Half of him wanted to just go tear his mom away from his dad, and make her run into his arms instead. Yet…half of him really wanted to punch out this Henry dude. How dare he kiss his baby sister like that? Well, technically, he never knew his baby sister…yet he knew her more then anyone else. And loved her. And would protect her.

Especially from the dude shoving his tongue in her mouth.

Gross.

"Henry…" Natalie started to say, then broke into girly little giggles. Oh, hell no! Gabe had to do…something! Think, Gabe, think! He told himself, and, just as he was about to bang his head against the wall, something miraculous happened.

The phone rang.

"S-sorry, let me get that…" Natalie stuttered, walking out of the room to find the phone. Perfect, Gabe thought. Now's my chance!

"Hey!" Gabe yelled sharply at Henry, but he didn't turn around to face the ghost boy. Gabe moved his hand in front of the other boy's face.

No reaction.

"Okay, kid, you listen to me and you listen good!" Gabe started.

Still no reaction.

"You know who I am, you little punk? Gabe Goodman, Natalie's big brother. You know what that means, kid? It means, I swear to God, if you hurt her…if you break her heart…anything, then you'll be a dead man walking. I should know."

He looked…wait, no, still no reaction.

"Listen," Gabe said with a sigh, sitting down next to Henry. "Maybe I'm a little paranoid about this. I mean…I think I have the right to be, don't I? I never got to meet her, kid. I never got to hold her, or fight with her, or laugh with her, or protect her from punks like you. So…can you just…take care of her for me, alright? Can you do that? Can you just…make her happy. Make her feel perfect. Be perfect for her." Gabe got up as Natalie re-entered the room.

"Sorry," Natalie said. "My aunt was on the phone. Did you entertain yourself?" Henry pulled Natalie in, so she was sitting on his lap with her head on his shoulder now.

"I just…" he trailed off. "I want to make you happy, Nat. I want you to feel perfect. I could be perfect for you."

"I could be perfect for you."

Gabe smiled. Mission Accomplished.
