(A/N: I had so much fun with this, despite it's short length. Enjoy!)

Summary: Post "One Life to Lose". Fluffy Caskett ship fluffitude.

Fangirl

A Beckett/Castle Fanfic

by Jill Diamond

RING RING

"Ugh, I hate my life," Kate moaned as she clumsily groped for her phone on the nightstand. The name that lit up the screen only caused her to roll her eyes.

"Richard Castle, it is two o'clock in the morning. If somebody's not dead, you're gonna be."

"I've got it! After long, agonizing hours of contemplation, I've got it! It hit me just now!"

"What's hit you, Castle?" Kate sat up a little in her bed, rubbing her eyes.

"Caskett," he answered simply.

She was silent for a moment, drinking in the word, and muttered "What?" almost more as a statement than a question.

"For us! Castle...Beckett...Caskett! It's our ship name! And I think it plays well with our whole murder-solving business, don'tcha think? 'Cause it's like a funeral casket!"

Beckett harshly plopped back down to a laying position, though she couldn't help the laugh gently pulling at her cheeks.

"Don't you think it's cute? Now I just need to find one for Ryan and Jenny, and then we'll-"

"I think it's adorable," Kate interrupted quietly. "I'll be sure to alert the precinct that from now on they are only allowed to refer to us as 'Caskett'."

He was silent on the other end, but she could hear him smiling.

"Now, you wanna let this half of Caskett get back to sleep now?"

"Oh, yeah, sorry. 'Night, Kate."

"'Night...Rick." She hung up and rolled her eyes, giggling to herself.

First Esplanie, now Caskett. He was such a fangirl.

The End

(A/N: When I heard Castle say "Esplanie" last night, my parents got onto me for how loud I squeed. And I just had to write a little follow-up for it. Hope you enjoyed!)
