I don't own Harry Potter

The Bet

All the seven Weasley children gathered around their father as he told them the story of Harry Potter as he did every Halloween and most other days.

"Daddy, why do you always sound super said when you talk about Harry's parents?" Asked five year old Ginny.

"Well, Princess, they were friends of mine and I miss them."

"Wait, Harry Potter is real?" Asked Ron.

"Duh, you git," said Fred.

"Of course he is real," cut in George.

"He is real Ron," said Mr. Weasley. "He is only a few months younger than you in fact. Okay you all better get up to bed now."

Everyone went up to Bill's room and continued to talk about the story.

"I am going to marry Harry Potter someday," Ginny burst out.

"Yah right, that is as likely as Bill marrying a Veela," said Charlie.

"Or Fred having a long time girlfriend who later marries George," put in Bill.

"Or Ron helping to defeat He Who Must Not Be Named,' added the twins.

"I bet you all ten gallons that I will marry him," pressed Ginny.

All her brothers signed the paper making the bet formal and then they departed for bed.

. .

Over the next two years all the Weasley siblings forgot about the bet and the paper was stowed away at the back of Ginny's closet.

. .

On the morning of Ginny Weasley's wedding to Harry Potter Ginny packed the last box of her stuff all of which was from the very back of he closet.

The very last thing she pulled out was a slip of paper. Before she could read it he mother called her downstairs so she slipped it into her jeans pocket so she could read it later.

As Ginny slipped off her jeans so she could put her dress she heard the paper crackle in her pocket. She pulled it out and read it smiling to herself all the time. There was a lot you could do with fifty gallons.

. .

As the newly weds swirled around the dance floor to Taylor Swift's song Long Live Ginny told her husband the whole story. After the dance Ginny handed the paper to her brothers to read and walked off with her husband.

We, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ron Weasley bet our sister Ginny Weasley ten gallons each that she will never marry Harry Potter as it is as likely as

A. Bill marrying a Veela

B. George marring Fred's longtime girlfriend

C. Ron helping defeat He Who Must Not Be Named

D. Ginny playing for the Holyhead Harpies.

"Wow, we were stupid then," said George as he wrapped his arm around his wife Angelena's waist.

"Yep everything we said wouldn't happen, happened," agreed Bill.

"We better go pay Ginny now," groaned Ron.

And with that the five brothers went off to pay their little sister.
