It was not a journey that she would have wished upon anyone, this lonely floating through the ether described as time. Though she appeared to be young, centuries had already become hers by the time of the war.
Another journey she would not wish for any to undertake.
In it Myrrh saw a young woman lead forth men into battle, sword dripping with the blood of her foes. Tears in her eyes and a sword in her hand, she ended a threat to the world. Slaying both former friend and deadly foe.
Death for life, life for death.
One dynasty founded upon a hero's origins fell into nothing on that day. Life passed on and the heroes of this age recovered as best they could, returning to life as it was and picking up the pieces of the world. They bore sons and daughters and built an age of peace despite the fickle destruction that had been foretold.
Her comrades grew older and eventually left the world's stage for another realm.
Still she watched from her shadowed forest, knowing that history oft repeats itself. And praying that it would not be her responsibility to someday judge the heirs of the dynasties that remained.

AN: Put together this whilst trying to get back into the writing groove. Not sure that it hits all the points, but at least it looks semi respectable now. Unlike its earlier incarnation, which had far fewer words than this version. :/
T'was an interesting prompt this time, thanks xirysa!
