Hola! Time for another update!

Another time at the beach I was watching three-year-old Perseus Jackson.

It was a cool summer day, perfect for a day at the beach. It was mid-July, and Percy was already bugging his mother for presents.

"Mommy, can I at least open one?" He asked, with a tiny hint of stammering.

"Percy, you know your birthday isn't until the eighteenth."

I hold back a tear. I really miss Sally. And this is the only way I can see my son... I hope he changes that. Do something, become the Hero of the Great Prophecy, and persuade Zeus to let the gods have more time with their children.

"But Mommy! Billy gets his presents before his birthday! He told me so!"

"Well, you're not Billy, are you?" Sally snuggled Percy closer. "And I don't want my baby boy doing this every year when he grows up."

I begin to sniffle.I feel a cold tear plumeting off my right cheek.

"Okay Mommy." Percy smiled. "But can I at least help you with the cake?"

Sally ruffled Percy's hair. "Of course you can, Percy."

Percy looks so much like me. He has my hair, my eyes, my ears... even my nose. When I secretly visit Sally, she thinks Percy's voice sounds similar to mine. Sally says Percy looks nothing like her. But I know one thing; her smile. The beautiful smile that I loved, is now Percy's.

Two hours later...

"Mommy, look! I'm swimming! I'm swimming!" Percy said happily.

I smile. He will be the greatest Son of the Sea God.

"You are, honey! Good job."

I could tell Sally was stressed out. I told her when she was pregnant with Percy, when he started seeing who he was, monsters would come after him. I told her there is a safe place, for people like him. She told me she will hold on to him for as long as she could. If only I could do the same.

"Mommy, watch this!"

Percy concentrated and a spout of water exploded from the ocean, soaking Sally.

"Sorry, Mommy," Percy said sheepishly.

"It's okay, honey."

Percy stepped out of the water to meet his mother. Luckily, he didn't realize he was dry.

Sally reached her hand out to Percy and he took it. She became dry and looked happy about it. They then walked back to their cabin.

Another day of watching to two people I care about the most.
