The last one to leave.

Deep down Arthur had known this day would come. Once he had lost the independence war and America left him, he had known his power was decreasing. Soon Canada had left him as well. There was nothing of the British empire left. Arthur sighed deeply. The result of the first opium war was leaving now as well. He once had taken away Hong Kong quite harshly. They hadn't had a good start. Though over the years, they had been somewhat like a family and-

"Okay, I'm out." A young Chinese boy told him. Arthur snapped out of his thoughts "What do you mean, I'm out? Have I not taught you how to say goodbye properly?" Arthur reacted fiercely. The leaving of Hong Kong, was hard for England. Jin shrugged. "Fine, good bye." He said rolling his eyes and turned around to make his leave.

Arthur stood up. "Y-you're joking right?" Jin raised an eyebrow. "Sure it's all a joke and I want to stay here forever and watch you break more promises." He said cynically. Ouch. He should've seen that coming. "C-can't you just-" Arthur sighed. "Just one more time, l-let's have tea for the last time." Jin raised his eyebrow, tea? As expected from the Brit.

He shrugged. "If that makes you happy." Arthur nodded slightly and went to the kitchen to make tea for them. He carried two cups with hot tea inside the living room. The silence was deadly. Arthur was thinking of final words to say, but what could he say. He silently sipped his tea and glanced over at Jin. The one who had been living for a long time in his house and was leaving now.

Jin put down his cup. "Thanks for the tea." He added with a nod. Arthur smiled slightly back. "You're welcome." So he had remembered some manners, good. "I'm going." The other replied. "A-ah yes. Do you need help?" Jin shook his head. He had always been so cold towards Arthur, even now. Arthur didn't like it.

"Fine then." He started. "Ha-h-ahave a n-nice trip back." Tears stood in his eyes. He was going to end up all alone. "Don't cry, idiot." Jin said patting his shoulder. "I'm just leaving to China, not to heaven." Arthur looked up at Jin. He could finally see some emotion in his eyes. Not his usual blank cold stare, but he could see some kindness, sympathy perhaps. Arthur dried his tears. "T-they wouldn't even want you in heaven." He replied.

Jin let out a small chuckle. "I'm off for real now, before you expect me to hug and kiss you." He said wrinkling his nose. "Yeah, go, before I change my mind." "You wouldn't you're a stubborn stuck up Brit." "Why you-" "Bye, dad." Arthur blinked and watched Jin walk to the door. "….bye" he whispered. It had been one of the rare associations Jin had called him dad. Tears escaped his eyes again.

The door opened again. Arthur knew who it was. "Frog, leave." Francis didn't leave and just watched. "Leave I said! Do you always have to watch how they leave me?" He yelled at Francis, tears rolled down his cheeks. "Cher, cher, you know I do not enjoy to see you like zis." Arthur pushed him away. "Then why are you here? Why are you always there?" Francis reached out for Arthur and wiped away some tears. "To be there for you." Arthur's cheeks turned pink. "G-git." He mumbled. Francis held his hand. "You're not alone, I am here." Arthur opened his mouth to protest. "B-but, Hong kong and-" Francis silenced him. "He won't forget you, even if he isn't yours anymore." Francis was right.

God how he hated when the frog was right. "Will he write me?" Arthur asked after a long silence. "I don't know, you'll have to wait and see." Arthur leaned against Francis, stupid frog, but he did soften the pain, of having to lose his colonies. Arthur looked out the window and saw how Jin just looked back one more time and waved. Arthur smiled through his tears. Perhaps he would write after all.
