A/N: Had a dream about Wally suddenly standing on top of a rock with a spotlight, in the middle of a speech when Batman interrupts him. And some mentions of Call of Duty too. This is what came out of it. Enjoi.
Missions like these are so easy, he thought to himself as he slid his goggles over his face and ran around the enemy goon, tangling him in rope that he borrowed from Robin. That counted two down, one tied up and one knocked out via a concussion when he tried to chase him but tripped and slammed on a boulder instead. It looked pretty painful he had to admit.
"Yo Rob, how's it going over there?" He called, it was pointless though, because he was by the boy's side in just a second.
"Everything's going according to plan." The Boy Wonder grinned, high-fiving his best friend as Miss Martian checked in.
"Everything's clear over here!" She called from above the two. "Aqualad, Superboy, are you-"
Superboy cut her off before the sentence was complete. "Finished." Aqualad simply nodded in agreement.
"So that's it then?" There was a unison answer of head nodding accompanied by "yes" to answer Kid Flash's question. A huge grinned spread across his face. In an instant, he ran to the boulder that the poor unsuspecting man had crashed into earlier and stood atop it. He imagined himself in a spotlight in a dark room.
"Today, my friends, my comrades, we have defeated yet another random group of enemies!" The rest of the group cheered. He continued. "We have proven that we are faster, that we are stronger, that we are better, and that we are way more awesome than they are! Tonight we-"
"Study and do your homework."
The dark voice cut through the scene, destroying the charade and ending the virtual simulation. The group groaned in disappointment as the park faded away and went back to the boring, dull grey walls of the battle test center.
Pouting, the group shuffled back to their designated study room.
"Man, we defeat bad guys almost everyday and the only celebration we get is homework." Kid Flash whined.
"He's not gonna let us hear the end of it, so we might as well do it." Robin pointed out.
"But it's Friday!" The redhead threw his hand up in the air. "Who does homework on a Friday!"
"Well technically, only you two have homework. We get to study other things." Miss Martian piped up, an uncharacteristic smirk on her face. Wally glared.
"Yeah, yeah, rub it in."
"Hey, KF?" Kid turned to look at Robin.
"Yeah?"
"How about we play Black Ops instead?"
A pause. Then the hugest grin anyone could possibly manage.
"Swweeeeeet!"
