Hi Everyone! I just got this idea after watching an episode in season 6 CSI:NY called 'Second Chances'. There is a conversation between Stella and Danny that goes like this-
(Stella and Danny are processing a car)
Stella: No signs of any forced entry in the car… hey Danny I'm waiting for your Boom!
Danny: Ah, no more Booms, Lindsay made me promise, I think she's afraid it's going to be Lucy's first word.
I loved this, so I'm going to take it a bit further. This story is set just at the end of this episode. Enjoy!

"Hey Lucy lu!" Danny said, picking up his daughter and bouncing her up and down.
"Danny be careful!" laughed Lindsay, "I don't want you breaking any lab equipment. Can you watch Lucy for a while? I'm meeting Flack in interrogation in 10 minutes, and it looks a lot less professional if you turn up to question a suspect with a baby strapped to you."
"Ok, see you soon." He kissed his wife on the cheek and then went back to processing the vics clothes.

"Ok Lucy, now if you just sit there and be good I'll be done it a second, can you be good for Danny? " Danny said placing his daughter on the table.
"Dannnoe" Replied Lucy.
"That's right Lucy, Danny." He turned back to the clothes and continued processing. Under the microscope he found a small hair caught in one of the buttons on the vics clothes.
"Boom!" he cried out in triumph
"Boooooe" cried Lucy. Danny turned to his daughter
"Now don't you go saying that, Lindsay will kill me if your first word is Boom! What about Danny? Can you say Danny?"
"Booooem!" Lucy said louder
"No no no!" Danny begged, "Don't say boom." He sighed as his daughter laughed and clapped her hands.
"Booooeem!"

"Yo Danny!" Sheldon Hawkes walked into the trace lab. "Mac's calling a meeting to go over all the evidence."
"Ok, I'll be there it a second." He picked up Lucy and carried her into the meeting room.
"Hey Danny!" His friends Stella said, "And hello Lucy!"
"Booooo!" replied Lucy. Danny placed her on the table and turned to the door where Lindsay walked in with Flack.
"Well, our suspect's got an alibi, so he's off the hook, what about you guys?" asked Lindsay
"Tox results come back, nothing in the vics system." Hawkes said
"What about the hair I recovered from the vics clothes?" Danny asked
"Ah..." Stella said reading the report she just received, "YES! It came back to Joe Manny, and that with the MO it's enough for a conviction."
"Boom!" Celebrated Danny
"BOOM!" Came a voice behind them. They all turned to see little Lucy Messer, giggling and clapping her hands.
"BOOM BOOM BOOM!" she cried.
"Danny?" Lindsay asked
"Did she just say.." Hawkes asked
"Boom?" Stella finished
"BOOM!" Lucy giggled. Flack burst out laughing,
"Messer, I think you daughter just said her first word!" Flack said between laughs. Danny stood there speechless.
"Danny?" Lindsay asked, "Is our daughters first word, Boom?"
" She's gonna grow up to be just like her old man!" Hawkes laughed
"Boom Boom!" Lucy laughed.
