"AAHHHHHHH," Draco screamed, waking up in a gasping fright, sweating and tangled in the sheets.
"Whaa—No! Not Draco! Take me instead!" Harry woke up next to him, gasping and reaching for his wand.
Harry and Draco both looked around, then back at each other and then burst out laughing.
"Nightmare," Draco shrugged, wiping the sweat from his brow.
"Oh. The fiendfyre one again?" Harry asked, concerned. He knew his boyfriend had trouble with that one.
"No…it was in an airplane. It crashed. We died…"
"Right," Harry sighed, rubbing his tired eyes. "Babe, you know that the chances will be tiny right? Nothing will happen. I'll even safety charm the whole plane before we get on tomorrow."
"You will?" Draco asked nervously. "Promise?"
"I swear," Harry said, pulling Draco back between the sheets. They cuddled for a minute, already falling asleep.
"Also, please don't let Weasley sit next to me. It may make me sicker."
With a sigh, Harry simply kissed his boyfriend on the forehead, his eyes still closed. "Okay, Draco, whatever you say."
"I can't do this. Look at that thing! It looks like a death trap!" Draco was saying nervously as they boarded the airplane. "I can't…I just can't."
"Oh come on, Malfoy, I was freaking out the first time I took a trip too, you'll be fine," Ron rolled his eyes.
"Shut up, Weasley! No one cares what you think," Draco said, his anxiety getting the best of him.
"Oi, shut your—"
"Okay! Ron, how about you go ahead of us? We'll catch up in just a minute, okay?"
Grumbling, Ron nodded and left. Harry looked around the airport and saw most people ignoring them and only one girl—an airport employee speaking rapid German—keep looking back at them quizzically.
"You said you wanted to try new things with me right?" Harry said, putting his arm around Draco's shoulder. He sat them down on one of the plastic chairs and felt Draco shaking under him.
"I know…but I changed my mind. Can't we just take a portkey to New York?"
"Sweetheart, you told me it was your New Year's resolution to try and sit in an airplane. You told me to force you to, if I had to. And now the year is almost up… it's not as bad as it seems, Draco. You'll be nervous since it's your first time, but I know you're going to do great."
Taking a few deep breaths, Draco nodded slowly. "Okay. For a new year."
"That's the man I fell in love with," Harry grinned. He leaned down and gave Draco a sweet kiss before they headed back for the terminal.
Looking back, Draco smiled when he saw the German girl give him thumbs up. He could do this.
