It's literally almost been 4 years since I last updated this story and I am sorry! I'm about to graduate with a bachelors in illustration and apply to blizzard this year! Isn't that crazy? Life is wild guys. Enjoy this chapter. I'd love to continue updating, hopefully it'll happen!

Chapter 6-

The Tame

"It's a stone I found when I first met you." Veya toyed with the smooth glowing stone that hung around her neck.

"It don't glow all da time. Why ya think it do dat?" Tye'jin took it from her fingers and brought it close to his eyes to examine. "It's beating." He said with a furrowed brow.

Veya stared at it with him while she lay in the crook of his arm. "It's special I suppose. It calms me sometimes. I was just drawn to it for some reason..."

A strange expression came over Tye's face. "Do ya think dis is what healed ya wound so quickly?" His eyes met hers at the end of his question. Veya's eyebrows rose and she hummed softly.

"It's not a bad suggestion, stones can have healing properties, right?" She questioned calmly.

"Ya. But not typically powerful enough to heal grave wounds like yours. Not completely, at least." Tye'jin pondered on this for a few long seconds before deciding they had more important things to worry about.

"We need ta be gettin some sleep girly, we gotta hard mission ahead of us tomorrow now dat ya bettah."

The next morning, high in the bright blue sky, flying in the sun, was a black hippogryph whom had been avoiding landing for days. The more she prolonged her flight, the more fatigued she became. She could not stay in the air forever, despite the immediate danger of hunters that lurked and followed beneath her. Hunger gnawed at her stomach. She had no idea where her master was or even where she was.

Tye and Veya dressed quickly once the sun had awoken them. They packed all their belongings before stepping outside the tent, where they were met with the sight of Athoniar sleeping in the curl of his drake's tail, his upper body naked while his lower half was still fully armored. He snored loudly given that he was almost sitting up. Tye'Jin's riding wolf and Luna were cuddling beside the long burnt out fire.

Veya was glad the wolves were growing fond of each other before a strange thought intruded upon her mind about the two wolves having puppies. She scrunched her nose and quickly mentally moved on. She needed to wake up Athoniar.

She approached him and his mount assertively in fear of his drake being aggressive. The creature opened one eye at her, sighed deeply, then closed its eye once more. Veya shrugged and looked at Athoniar. A slight blush flirted on her cheeks at seeing him shirtless and vulnerable in sleep. He was a beautiful elf, although a death knight. His body was extremely toned and his complexion was very smooth. Veya forced herself to snap out of her gawking and grab his shoulder gently. "Athoniar! Please wake up. Don't kill me..." her voice trailed off in only half fear.

His snoring stopped suddenly, and he cracked his eyes open slightly to stare at her for way longer than she thought necessary. "What?" She exclaimed.

He smirked. "Y'all were loud last night". Veya's eyes widened before quickly turning around to continue packing the camp and totally not to hide her flushed face. Athoniar chuckled as he watched her flee.

She stomped past Tye to wake up Luna. Tye paused his packing to raise his eyebrows at her, then looked back at Athoniar and saw him grinning. Athoniar proceeded to give him a thumbs up and a nod.

"Ah. Dats why she mad" He said with a smile. "Put a shirt on, mon." Tye continued breaking down their tent while catching a glance of Veya's ass every once in a while.

"Alright, alright." Athoniar slipped on a black undershirt before snapping his plate back onto his upper body. "So where do you think your mount is, Veya?"

Veya turned to look at him. "I hope still in Sholazar. Have you heard anything?"

Athoniar snapped his fingers at his drake. A deep groan bellowed from deep in its chest as it rose to its feet. "Not recently. We'll have to ask around."

Veya nodded at his response. "Let's move then."

All three companions were astride their mounts on the search for other people who may have an idea as to where her mount is. Veya sat in front of Tye on his wolf. Tye was trying his hardest not to be fully erect against her ass. It was proving increasingly difficult as he reminisced about the night they shared before. He knew Veya knew it too; she'd glance back at him with a lustful smirk and proceed to wiggle further into his lap. If they weren't traveling with someone else, Tye'jin would've fucked her right then, in that position.

He couldn't stop thinking about how amazing she looked in just her shirt and underwear. Every time he looked at her in her tight mail armor now, it was like he had X-ray vision. He chanced kissing her neck.

She moaned quietly at his touch. Tye could taste the salt from her sweat on his lips. He loved it.

"So why are you both in Sholazar?" Athoniar's voice cut through the heated delusions they were sharing. The pair both became serious and Veya decided to answer first.

"I came here for a few reasons I'd say. I wanted to gain more experience as a huntress and tame the beasts that are said to be in Northrend. I came to Sholazar for Loque'Nahak. However, I do have a much more important reason for being in Northrend. My sister, whom is a very powerful, talented priest, was sent to Northrend to join the fight against the Lich King. Despite that, she hasn't returned. I decided to come here to find her and help in the fight. Anyway, I definitely can't do that without my mount." Tye'jin watched her silvery hair bounce as she spoke and listened carefully. Athoniar was nodding thoughtfully in front of them.

"What about you Tye?" Veya peaked over her shoulder at him as she waited for her answer.

Tye'jin found himself unable to give her an answer. He was there to kill her kin, her friends. The Alliance. It was his job as a rogue; he was an assassin.

"Ehhh ya know mon, I don't tink it really mattah. It be a mess." Tye'jin avoided Veya's suspicious gaze and looked at an extremely interesting fern instead.

"You remember trying to kill me, right?" Veya said nonchalantly. Tye'jin stiffened.

"Of course I do... well it wasn't exactly me... it be a leetle complicated now, don't ya tink?" He lowered his voice considerably while speaking to her. He decided he would tell her the truth later, privately.

"I guess so." Veya straightened her back and addressed Athoniar. "What about you mister Death Knight? Why are you here?"

Both Tye'jin and Athoniar knew why they were there. Tye'jin shot a glare at the blood elf, hoping that would prevent him from telling her the truth. Athoniar didn't happen upon their camp by coincidence. He was searching for Tye'jin. They were both members of a growing assassin's league with numbers that stretched across the entirety of Azeroth and more. Athoniar was simply sent to make sure Tye'jin would carry out his mission, considering how long he'd been missing. Soon, Athoniar would more than likely be ordered to kill the troll himself. He did awfully like him, though.

Tye'jin knew what the stakes were as well. He needed to move on from Sholazar as quickly as possible to complete his assigned task. Yet, he had a grand need to help Veya, especially now that she revealed her true intentions for being in Northrend. He didn't want to leave her alone in the search for her sister. She was powerful and would more than likely be fine on her own, but he enjoyed her too much. Athoniar didn't seem to particularly mind, either. Tye'Jin had a hard time believing that he would go from being free of the Lich King's imprisonment to being in The League's debt and be overly obedient. At least, that's the impression he gave off. The death knight didn't seem to care about much though, nor did he have clear allegiances. Despite this, Tye knew that if he did not go on his way, he would be labeled a deserter and would find himself with a bounty on his head by his own league. Athoniar's presence had made that clear. Tye'jin let himself drift back into the conversation at hand.

"I had some errands to run here. Like I said, I was also searching for the hippogryph. Hunted some people down. Nothin' much." Athoniar smirked at Tye over his shoulder before facing forward again. The death knight knew Veya would find out soon enough without him telling her. She's too smart. Or Tye would give in to the pressure of Athoniar's grim reaper-like presence and tell her himself so the troll could leave, with or without her. If Tye'Jin left her here, Athoniar would have no choice but to snatch her up.

"You're both so vague. What's the point of having a conversation if I'm the only one talking?" Veya said with a snarky smile. Tye wrapped his arm around her waist and gently lay his chin on her shoulder, one of his tusks barely brushing her jaw.

"Well you're not wrong. I might as well take to the skies and search while you're on the ground. I'll come back if I see it. See ya, kids." Athoniar clicked his tongue and his drake pushed off the ground with great force. Its mighty, iron-like wings beat slowly and blew Tye and Veya's hair back.

"Um, bye?" Veya called after him. He definitely didn't hear her.

With a sharp tug on the riding wolf's reigns, the pair came to a harsh halt. Veya made an 'oof' sound and turned to glare at the troll before he put his index finger to his lips. His eyes were huge when they met hers. He then looked back at what encouraged him to slam on the brakes and Veya followed his eyes. When her glowing eyes landed on what he saw, her jaw went slack.

Dark, rippling runes speckled the massive cat's back that was laying on the mossy forest floor licking its paw. Its fur was a frosty white and its long tail swayed back and forth behind it. It appeared to be more bored than anything. Veya was squeezing Tye's arm so tight her fingernails had dug into his damp, blue skin. They looked at each other and she silently mouthed "It's real!" before letting him go and quickly mouthing "Sorry". Her stomach was full of butterflies and an overwhelming feeling of affection came over her, sending a jolt through her body that screamed at her to kiss him hard on the lips. Tye shoved her shoulder gently before she could and made a motion for her to get moving.

Veya put her game face on and slid down off the wolf silently. Her padded feet hit the moist soil with a soft thud. Her eyes flashed down and back up to the cat. It was still resting on the ground facing away from her. The elf glanced around at her surroundings, analyzing the best way to sneak up on it. As a huntress, Veya was specifically trained in the ways of taming beasts to fight by her side. She had only had one companion while she had been on her adventures and that was Luna. Luna hadn't been tamed normally either; Veya developed a kinship with her over time. For this creature, Veya would more than likely have to dominate it before befriending it. She did know a taming spell, however that doesn't foster a friendship like hand-taming does. Given that this is a mythical, sought after cat, she didn't have a lot of time to foster much though. Despite the varying options, she was ready for anything.

So I have other stories that are unpublished that are actually connected to this one. I really just haven't been writing for years for several reasons. I plan on getting back into it. This one is short, but I just needed to get it out there. Bear with me :)
