Hatenai Sora
トリセツ/Torisetsu

It was a long wait. Seeing the village getting rebuilt from the bottom to the top, seeing a message each day talking about her future plans. As Sumire placed down flowers on Kaimu's grave, her eyes stared at the name 'Maeda Kaimu' for a brief moment, before taking a step back to stare at it. She already made her decision. It was a painful decision, but she knew it was going to happen.

Turning around, she began to head home alone. Her eyes shut tightly, probably thinking of ways to say 'Goodbye' to everyone she knew...

"Hey. Could you stop spacin' out for at least one minute?"

Looking up, Sumire looked at Hiroto who gave her a strange look as he carried a bag of food in his arms. She rolled her eyes and pushed back her locks, mirroring that look.

"Please, as if you never spaced out," she laughed, lightly pushing her teammate.

"Heading home?" he questioned.

"Yeah. My mom has the kids. She said it's fine to take my time, but I already miss them," Sumire nodded.

As they walked together, the blond slowly scratched the back of his head, trying to strike up a conversation to break the awkward silence between the two. He knew it was now or never. Taking a deep breath, Hiroto gently grabbed his teammate's hand, watching look up at him with a curious look on her face.

"...Then...Let's go on a date,"

A deadpan look quickly formed on the woman's face. She quickly kicked the man in the back of his legs, watching him quickly fall down onto his knees in pain.

"You know we're not like that anymore!" she shouted, with an embarrassed looked on her face. "Even with Kakashi-san gone on his mission, I'm not going to do that to him! "

"You've...You've been spacin' out too much! I know you don't like talkin' too much, but you gotta talk to me if you're not talking to Kurenai-san!" he winced.

A tiny frown formed on the brunette's face. Holding out her hand towards him, Sumire looked at him quietly.

"...This is something I can't discuss with you here,"

"Why did you have to join us, Atsushi-sensei?"

A scowl formed on Hiroto's face, as he looked at the cheerful older male, walking between him and his teammate. Sumire smiled at the two of them, as they were heading to one of the restaraunts that had it's 'GRAND RE-OPENING' signs outside its' door.

"What? I can't join you two?" he scoffed. "I can be Kaimu for today, right?"

The two stared at their cheerful Sensei, before shaking their heads, and going into the place. They ended up getting and outdoor table and sat out there staring at the people who were still constructing some of the buildings or trying to presume their 'normal' lives. As Sumire stared out there with a blank look on her face, the two men were quickly ordering their foods.

"So, what was it you wanted to talk about, Sumire?" Hiroto questioned, gazing at the brunette.

"...Honestly, it was a good thing, we ran into Sensei today," she began.

"HA?!" the blond shouted, looking over at the stunned man.

Shaking her head, Sumire quickly waved her hands in front of her face, trying to clear the air.

"It's not like that!" she said. "Just...My father left..."

The kunoichi became quiet, her head slowly lowering down. The two men gave her a strange look as they watched her trying to compose herself.

"I want to tell you both that I'm leaving Konoha. There's a high chance, I won't come back,"

Atsushi sat there and simply nodded, while Hiroto sat there staring at his teammate at the news. As the waitress gave them their drinks, the man sat there, wondering how he should react. He couldn't easily agree with this...Not after seeing how much he and Kaimu had to comfort her after so long. He didn't know if she would survive being in that household, if she couldn't stand being with just her father and her uncle.

"Did you tell Senpai?" Hiroto reluctantly spoke up.

It was the only thing he could do for now...and all she could do was shake her head.

"The hell- Sumire, what is wrong with you?! You're going to leave this place, and you can't tell the man you love the mo-"

"Stop it!" she spoke up. "Hiro...It's for the best that I don't tell him. You and Sensei both are well-aware about what's wrong with my family for the longest time-"

"But still, think about him and how he would feel. You know, even just telling me that you're leaving...It's still painful just thinking about it," the blond explained.

Sumire looked away for a brief moment, before slowly getting up from her seat and walking away. As Hiroto shouted her name, quickly trying to run after her, she was a reasonable distance away from him, already trying to head home. However, while the woman was trying to maneuver her way through the slowly growing crowd, she felt a hand gripping her wrist, causing her to turn around.

"What do you want, Hiro-"

"...You got into another argument with him again, Sumire?"

Her eyes stared at Kakashi, who casually hanging out with Gai. Chewing on her lip, the kunoichi moved in closer to the man and hugged him tightly, burying her face into his chest. Holding her close to him, the other jounin hugged her tightly, trying to ignore his best friend's embarrassing remarks about them.

"Welcome back," she muttered.

"...I'm home."

"You...idiot."

Sitting up, Kakashi licked his lips with a satisfied smile on his face, before looking over at the pouting Sumire. Her face was face down on the pillow, whining over what had just happened between the two. After their little reunion, it ended up getting a bit too steamy between the two as soon as they had entered the bedroom, which resulted in this little scene.

"I missed you," he whispered in a haughty voice.

Smacking him in the arm, the woman raised up her head. "I missed you too, but that was too much!" she whined childishly.

Leaning down to kiss her, Kakashi felt her wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him to close to her to deepen the kiss. Within moments, they pulled away and looked at each other, lovingly. Kakashi had soon cracked a smile and bursted out laughing at the blushing Sumire, who was speechless at what she had done.

"...Too much, huh?" Kakashi joked, looking down at his lover's flustered expression.

Gently poking his cheek, Sumire let out a long sigh. "I don't get you sometimes," she muttered, shoving him off of her.

While she changed, the jounin watched her for a brief moment, before he sat up properly on their bed. "Sumire," he began. "Can we talk?"

Slipping on her shirt, the woman glanced over at him. "...What is it?" she muttered.

Her heart felt like stopping. The situation felt...familiar. Too familiar. She was preparing herself for the upcoming heartbreak. Closing her eyes, Sumire took a deep breath. Kakashi looked at her thoughtfully, leaning in closer to her and pressing his forehead against hers. A serious look formed on his face, as he gently took his hand into hers.

"Sumire…"

"Y-Yeah?"

"…Let's get married…for real,"

Staring at him, tears formed in the woman's eyes, as Kakashi looked at her, raising an eyebrow. "I-Is that a 'No'?" he questioned, wiping the tears away from her eyes.

Her face was expressing her happiness over the news, but deep down, she was heartbroken. It was a bad time for him to bring up marriage.

"It's not that…" she replied. "I mean, we're already acting like we're married, with Momoko and Kaishou, so-"

Gently pushing back her locks, Kakashi smiled at her. "…I'm only saying this, since the village is preparing for something major. I want you to stay here and protect both Momoko and Kaishou, since… I want us to get married as soon as I come back,"

"…As soon as you come back…" Sumire muttered, looking down with an uneasy look on her face.

She needed to go along with this. It was the only thing she could do for now. Slowly nodding at him and holding his hand tightly, the woman smiled at him.

"…Of course. Please…Just stay safe."
