Zoro's Gift
~X~
Sanji wasn't sure what to do for Christmas. Their friends had made a secrete Santa exchange and Sanji got stuck with Zoro. Sure, Sanji liked Zoro and thought he was cute, but he didn't know the other teen to well. Usually when they got together they fought. So Sanji decided to do a little digging.
After school he went over to Zoro's to see what he could find out. His excuse was he wanted to help Zoro with his history test that was coming up. Zoro was hesitant at first, but knowing his grade on the subject he agreed in the end.
It was the first time Sanji got to see Zoro's home in the three years they met. Zoro never really invited people over often. Usually it was Zoro who went over the other persons home, but the restaurant was too busy for Zoro to come to his place.
So here Sanji was, sitting in Zoro's living room and looking around the place. He already talked to Zoro's two little twin sisters, and seen a glimpses of his younger brother. Sanji also got to meet Zoro's mother for a small second.
Zoro had gently led her into her bedroom. From what Sanji could tell she was ill, and he was curious to know what of. He got his answer from one of Zoro's eight year old sisters.
"Mama gots leukemia," she said not pronouncing the word right. "Zoro takes care of us now," she said with a bright smile.
"Oh, I see," Sanji said, his heart sinking in his throat. He glanced over where he seen Zoro enter his brother's room to help him find one of his books. He looked around the place once more, and noted that though it was a decent home, it wasn't in the best of shape. The kids looked happy which meant they were taken care of, but Zoro always looked down. Sanji then got an idea of what he could do for Christmas.

On Christmas Morning everyone gathered at Vivi's. Her house was the only one big enough to hold the party. Zoro was glad that his father came to town to spend time with the younger ones so he could go out.
As he was taken off his coat he was stopped by Sanji who held a present out to him.
"Merry Christmas, Zoro," he said softly, with a smile.
Zoro blinked and gently took the package in hand. "Thanks," he said, stepping into the large room and took a seat on the floor.
Sanji sat next to him, watching as he unraveled the small box and opened it. Inside was a Christmas card, and he opened it, and read:
Zoro,
You are someone who is always giving. Giving to your friends, and to your family but never receiving. I watched you for a few days; I liked you for a few months. The other day I spent time with you and your family and it was the most heartwarming experience I ever witnessed.
Your kind, friendly, and a gentle person, you are also touch and a kick ass fighter. I look at you and I see a wonderful person with a big heart.
My gift to you is my own heart. I am here for you when you need me most. I'll be here for you when you're down, happy, sad, and lonely or just need to talk. I am here for you as a friend, and I hope to be here for you more than that too.
This isn't something of pity. It's something of Love.
I have fallen for you back in October but haven't had the balls to say until now. I was afraid, okay?
Merry Christmas, you shitty Marimo
Love
Sanji~
Zoro stared at the card in awh. His heart warm and fuzzy, and he swallowed not sure what to say. Smiling he looked up at the blond, his cheeks tinted pink. "Um… This is the best gift I got," he said shyly.
Sanji beamed and pulled Zoro into a hug, and kissed his forehead. "Can I assume you are accepting it then?"
Zoro nodded. "Yeah, thanks cook. Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, Zoro."
