I Promised

Disclaimer: Sadly I am not Stephenie Meyer so I don't on twilight but I do own this story (all but Edward's words and the characters)

Tyler's POV (point of view)

Yes I am finally making it up to Bella. Tonight is the Prom and by tomorrow she may even be my girlfriend. Yes I can imagine it right now, Bella saying to Edward 'Its over I am going to prom with Tyler, I told you this months ago that this was Tyler's way of making it up to me" During the night, I making up for the van crash will be forgotten and it will be as if I asked her naturally without the van crash to give me confidence and reason even though I had reason enough before. Her house has come into view and I straighten my bow tie as I stop the car in front of her house. I take great breaths as I step out of the car and into the cool night air. Yes I have been waiting for this moment for months. I stride up to the front door and knock confidently. Chief Swan answers the door, his face is full of confusion then turning to understanding.

"Why are you here, shouldn't you be at the prom?"Chief Swan asked with a grin on his face. What is he talking about and where is Bella?

"Is she waiting for me at the Prom?" I asked just as confused.

"No Edward has taken her to prom, they just left" Charlie told me shrugging.

"What, but I promised I would take her, there must be some mistake" I shouted, fuming.

"Since Bella does not own a mobile, I will call Edward and confirm with him that he is taking Bella to prom" Charlie said.

"Fine and we will see" I told him a tad bit smug. Charlie dialled a few numbers into his phone, Edward answered straight away.

"Edward, Tyler is here to pick Bella up" Chief Swan said into the phone.

"He wants to talk to you" Chief Swan told me grinning. I grabbed the phone off Charlie.

"Hello, Tyler, this is Edward Cullen" Edward said pleasantly through the phone.

"What are you doing, I was supposed to be taking her to prom, I promised her, I would take her." I told him, feeling very annoyed.

"I am sorry if there's been some kind of miscommunication but Bella is unavailable tonight" Edward told me smugly.

"But I promised, tell her I will make it up to her tomorrow night at the lodge" I told him loudly and slowly so he would not misinterpret my words.

"To be perfectly honest, she'll be unavailable every night, as far as anyone besides my self is concerned. No offence. And I'm sorry about your evening" He told me smugly.

Stupid Cullen, now I have no chance. I gave the phone back to Chief Swan and stalked outside, got in the car and drove home. All the way there I was thinking stupid Cullen, stupid Cullen. Maybe one day I will get a chance.

Thanks for reading, please review. I will read your stories and review on them once you review on mine.
