Sorry for the wait. I was working on something else. My recovery is now complete. How I got hurt, you ask? Let's just say I'm never working with heavy stuff again. Maybe weightlifting, but other than that, I'm done with heavy labor.

"STARRRRRRSSSS!" said the Nemesis as it stalked the seven person group.

"We need a plan of attack!" said Raymond.

"I have a plan: attack!" said Ha'mak and all of them fired their weapons at the creature at once.

The Nemesis absorbed their bullets and plasma shots, none of which brought it down. The bullets wounded the monster and the plasma did burn its tainted flesh. Still, the Nemesis stood its ground.

It attacked with its tentacles, missing all but E'mal who was struck on the shoulder and chest, but not seriously harmed.

The marines had to avoid any attack from this behemoth at all costs while the Sangheilis didn't have to, though they sometimes did out of combat habit.

Raymond eyed the creature's weapons laying on the table.

"Someone get rid of those weapons before he claims them!" he barked.

Jamie volunteered for that and rushed to the table to eliminate the monster's weaponry.

However, the Nemesis caught sight of her and focused on her.

"CRAPCRAPCRAPCRAPCRAP!" Jamie said rapidly as the Nemesis was about to tackle her.

Before that could happen, Jamie was saved at the last minute by Kh'rue who tackled the Nemesis away from Jamie and the two crashed through a wall and into another room in the facility.

When that happened, alarms began blaring. They were built for intruders and they happened to be the ones.

"Alarms!" Kristine said.

"Are there any U.S.S. guys coming here?" Raymond asked.

Ha'mak and E'mal scanned the facility's interior and while they found no traces of U.S.S. troops anywhere, they did find something else.

"No, but we are about to battle more of those Earth monsters." said E'mal.

The B.O.W.'s arrived, saw the group and attacked. Zombified laboratory scientists, bodyguards and U.S.S. soldiers, some normal and some Crimson Heads and Hunters and Lickers made up the B.O.W. army.

While that battled took place, so did the fight between Kh'rue and the Nemesis.

Nemesis proved to be powerful than previous B.O.W.'s, even surpassing the T-103's. But Kh'rue proved to be an equal match for the monster.

He fired his plasma rifle at the beast. The plasma discharge burned the creature's tainted, disfigured flesh, bit that didn't stop the Nemesis from attacking the alien with its tentacles.

Kh'rue grabbed one of the tentacles, yanked the creature over to him and socked it in the face with his right hand and activating his energy dagger simultaneously, increasing the pain tenfold.

The assault ended with Kh'rue stabbing the Nemesis on the side of its head.

The monster stumbled back from the blow and was met with slicing attacks from the alien soldier.

Alex looked back to check on the fight and saw what Kh'rue was doing.

"He has a healing factor! Try stabbing and slicing as much as you can until he dies!" he pointed out and returned his focus on the battle.

A hunter tried to attack, but Alex blew its head off with his shotgun.

"'AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH' yourself!" he remarked.

Kh'rue heard what he said about how to effectively harm the Nemesis and activated his second dagger and sliced away at the Nemesis endlessly, dodging every swipe, punch, kick and tentacle lashing the monster performed.

The Nemesis bellowed irritatingly from every hit it received. But every wound it sustained healed in seconds. Kh'rue refused to stop his attack.

The B.O.W. suddenly blocked one of Kh'rue's swipes with one arm and shoulder rammed him against a wall, leaving a huge dent in the wall. Next, it hoisted him up and threw him across crates filled with ammunition for the creature's weapons.

The Nemesis used its tentacles to wrap Kh'rue up and pull him toward it for another attack.

Remembering something, Kh'rue allowed the monster to reel him in like a fish caught in a hook and when he was close enough, he plunged his dagger into the creature's neck, slammed the head of the Nemesis on his knee to stun it long enough to flip the Nemesis on the ground and break its arm with a quick thrust snap.

While the Nemesis laid in pain, Kh'rue quickly switched to his energy sword when the Nemesis was starting to get up and he brought the plasma blade of his weapon down against the back of the opponent's neck and instantly decapitated the beast.

The head fell and stumbled to the ground and the headless body of the monster stumbled on its belly and moved about as if it were having a seizure. Heavy, dark red blood spurted from its neck where its head used to be.

Getting the feeling that mere decapitation was simply not enough to kill it, Kh'rue continued to attack at the creature with his sword. The first thing he did was slice the body in two via a vertical swipe, causing the severed halves to fall apart from each other.

Next, he attacked the limbs to ensure the Nemesis could not attack even without a head. He swiped, cut, severed and sliced without a break until after a while, the now-mutilated body stopped moving. He even approached the head and sliced it in half just in case.

The Nemesis, Umbrella's most powerful B.O.W. aside from the T-103's and feared enemy of Jill Valentine, was dead.

A few minutes later, the other monsters have been killed and the team found no more traces left and when they turned around to check on the other battle, the found Kh'rue standing next to the dead Nemesis, still clutching his sword and catching his breath like he just finished an Olympic marathon run.

"Holy shit." Jamie exclaimed. They walked closer to the site of the fight and were amazed that their mission was a success.

"You did it. You crazy son of a bitch, you did it." said Alex in a trance-like tone.

"So now that means we stopped Jill's future confrontation with this thing?" Kristine asked.

"Yep, so Jill's escape from the city on 'Nuke Day' can be less harder now." said Alex.

Since there were no enemies inside the facility, considering the fact that they cleansed the area of monsters, the team exited the facility.

"Oh dear. I spent all my shells. I'll keep an eye out for new ones." said Alex as he looked over his shotgun.

"There's plenty more back at the chapel, remember?" said Jamie, remembering the bag of ammo and guns John and Thel brought.

"Oh yeah."

"Now what?" E'mal asked.

"I think we should check on Jill to see how she is." said Kristine.

"Good idea." said Raymond. He took out his radio and contacted the chapel.

Just then, they got an incoming transmission signal.

"Hello?" said the voice. It was Carlos.

They listened in.

"Carlos?" Raymond asked.

"Yeah, it's me." said Carlos.

"What reason do you have for calling us?" Raymond asked.

"I'm calling because . . . Jill's awake."

"What?" Kristine asked.

"She woke up about a few minutes ago and she's now curious about her current situation such as who the other survivors and the big guys are. What should I do or say?" Carlos asked.

"Stay inside and keep Jill calm. We're on our way." said Raymond.

"Whatever you say, man." Carlos said and the signal ended.

"So Valentine's up and running?" Alex asked.

"Up, yes. Running, not yet anyway. We must go back and sort everything out." Raymond said. With the Nemesis now dead, they saw no further reason to remain inside and started to leave.

They wiped some blood off their uniforms that was splattered on them during the battle while walking. They needed to shower later.

Ding Dong, the Nemesis is deaaaaaaad! You wanted to see Nemesis die, you got your wish. Now Jill and Carlos are safe, at least from Mr. Ugly. Jill got up earlier than in the original game because she was given the vaccine before Carlos did.

Most of you are aware of this, but I'm gonna say it anyway: Resident Evil 2 is being remade and will be released in a year or two from now! For RE vets, if you thought the original was scary, I hope the new one will scare the hell out of us for sure. Well, not too much to make some people shit and piss their pants, shorts, whatever. However they design the gameplay for the new RE title, be it the classic camera view or the modern over-the-shoulder view, as long as it's good and menacing, I don't really care what view it is.
