This is for the challenge '99 Love/Pain Quotes.'
'When I first saw you, I was afraid to talk to you. When I first talked to you, I was afraid to like you. When I first liked you, I was afraid to love you. Now that I love you, I'm afraid to lose you.'
When Molly said that she wanted both of them to write their vows for the wedding, Arthur knew that he wouldn't be able to come up with anything special. He was never the romantic writer, if that's what people called it. He still had quite some time though, thirteen days to be exact.
When the time finally came to recite his vows, Arthur was confident that what he had to say fit his feelings perfectly. It was a quote he had found out of a book. Though, he wasn't quite sure which one. He had spent countless of hours reading book after book to find the perfect thing to say.
"Arthur, will you recite your vows, please?" The preacher asked as the audience turned their attention to the groom. Taking the paper he had written the quote on out of his breast pocket, Arthur recited his quote,
"When I first saw you, I was afraid to talk to you. When I first talked to you, I was afraid to like you. When I first liked you, I was afraid to love you. Now that I love you, I'm afraid to lose you," he said as he folded the paper up neatly, looking into Molly's tear infested eyes when he was done. From that moment on, he knew that nothing could ever change the feels he felt for his wife.
