A/N: I was listening to Christmas music the other day and I started thinking about Jate and how their first Christmas together might have been, so I decided to write some one shots about what their first Christmas might have been like. Most of these are going to be extremely fluffy and light. I hope you enjoy! If you have any suggestions I would be more than happy to take them!

Disclaimer: I don't own LOST.

The smell of sugar cookies made Jack's heart jump with excitement as he opened the door to his and Kate's house. He heard laughter coming from the other room and he put his stuff down by the door and walked quietly to the kitchen in order to surprise whoever was there.

"Aaron I think that's enough sprinkles." Kate's laugh could be heard throughout the house. Jack grinned at the sound of Aaron and Kate giggling in the other room.

He walked to the kitchen entryway to where Kate and Aaron's backs were turned to him. He softly tiptoed to her side.

"Mmm smells like heaven."Jack whispered as he wrapped his arms around Kate's midsection and buried his head in her hair.

Kate jumped at his warm breath on her neck, giving her chills running up and down her spine. She tried to hide the broad grin that was spreading across her face.

"Uncle Jack!" Aaron exclaimed, jumping off his stepstool and wrapping his arms around Jack's legs.

Jack let go of Kate and picked Aaron up. "We're making cookies for Santa!" Aaron looked up at his Uncle.

Jack laughed. "I see that! Did you save any for me?"

"Now you know you can't have any cookies before dinner." Kate smiled and reached her hand up to Aaron's hair, brushing some sprinkles that had fallen on his head.

"Oh that's right." Jack rolled his eyes and grinned, pulling Kate into his embrace. The three stood there for a minute, enjoying the Christmas music playing from the stereo in the other room.

Jack took advantage of the moment and admired Kate. She was wearing a long sleeve, dark green sweater that brought out her green eyes. Her brown hair was flowing down her back in curls, and Jack was sure that he could smell his favorite perfume on her.

"Dinner is in the oven. The cookies are done. We're just finishing decorating." Kate took Aaron out of Jack's arms, and kissed his forehead.

"I had a lot of fun with you today." Kate pinched Aaron's cheek slightly, and Aaron grinned.

"Now why don't you go wash up for dinner while we clean up here." Kate slightly pushed Aaron into the direction of the bathroom and he obliged.

Jack rolled up his shirt sleeves and started putting the dirty dishes in the sink while Kate picked up some blue frosting to decorate the rest of the snowflake shaped sugar cookies.

"Oh you don't have to do that." Kate looked over at Jack. "I can take care of the dishes after dinner."

Jack shook his head, "No, it's fine. I don't mind."

Kate set down the frosting and walked over to Jack, placing her hand on his arm. "Thank you." She reached up and kissed his cheek, and Jack smiled at her, setting down the dish in his hand.

"What?" Kate cocked her head at Jack's smirk.

"You have blue frosting on your nose." Jack reached over and wiped the frosting off with his thumb then put it to his mouth. "Mmm."

Kate smiled again, staring into Jack's eyes. The two went in for a kiss, before Aaron interrupted them.

"I'm hungry Mommy!" Aaron tugged on Kate's shirt.

Jack and Kate broke apart, and Jack went over to the drawer to take out silverware while Kate got dishes.

"Come on Aaron, let's set the table for dinner."
