Characters: Kenpachi, Hinamori
Summary: The girl was much more interesting now.
Pairings: Kenpachi x Hinamori
Warnings/Spoilers: no spoilers
Timeline: post-Deicide arc
Author's Note: As I have noted before, I do very much adore crack pairings. Consider this as Kenpachi and Hinamori on Hueco Mundo for "Clean up" duty after the events of the Deicide arc. Writing Hinamori as more than a little "off" is so much fun.
Disclaimer: I don't own Bleach.
Well…
This was surprising.
Kenpachi frowned as he came on the scene, feet impacting with small ripples against the cool, gritty sands of night-shrouded Hueco Mundo, and his eyes met the sight before him. The sand under his feet was splattered with blood now.
The Hollows (he couldn't tell if they were regular grade or some remnant of Aizen's Arrancar army, though he was inclined to lean towards the latter, judging by their appearance) laid on the sand, oozing black blood, either dead or dying; he couldn't tell which. Their killer stood above them, zanpakuto still gripped in hand.
Hinamori too was dripping blood, some of it her own but much more of it that of her victims. It clotted in her clothes, ran in streams down Tobiume's blade, coated her hand, made her soft hair hard and stiff and stick out in clumps. If it was like when he finished a battle, Kenpachi was sure she'd smell like blood for days afterwards, regardless of showering and perfume.
She stiffened when she heard him and turned her head, smiling cheerily and bowing her head. "Hello, Zaraki-taicho."
Kenpachi merely shot a glance at the corpses than at her. "I take it you've handled things over here."
Her sweet smile widened to a grin and made a dried streak of blood across her cheek crack and splinter. "It was easy."
Hinamori bowed and started to make her way back towards base.
Kenpachi's frown broke to a slight smile as he followed after her, and, lo and behold, the smile was only slightly predatory.
The girl had suddenly become much more interesting, was much more interesting when painted in garish shades of blood.
