People don't know Lauren Zizes. Well, at least not the real Lauren. They'd never guess she totally kicks ass in Call of Duty and they're definitely not aware she volunteers at the humane society. They don't understand her love for audio/video equipment. They can't comprehend why she's on the wrestling team. Most importantly, though, they have no idea she loves to sing.

But all they see is that she's a geek. And the kids at William McKinley High School can be very hurtful when they want to be. So Lauren sticks with what works best: lying low. For a while it seems her efforts to blend in are working, until Mr. Schuester decides to revamp glee club. It sparks a Jocks vs. Nerds war that she definitely doesn't want to be a part of.

The kids in glee club don't help at all. They just manage to alienate themselves through showtunes, something most people in this town will never understand. Yet they have no choice but to grin and bear it.

She feels sorry for them, but on the other hand, she slips by relatively unnoticed while the jocks are busy slushying the Gleeks.

She hates being bullied. She hates that people think she deserves to be bullied. She hates that people think they deserve to bully her. But what she hates most is that despite everything, she actually wants to join glee.

A/N: This popped into my head after hearing that Lauren's performing with New Directions at Sectionals… I can't wait!
