Disclaimer: I don't own anything of Harry Potter
Note: I know it has been a while since I last updated but inspiration has been severely lacking right now. So please bear with me. Let's begin. I started and finished my masters and I am currently working full time in London, so lot of stuff has happened in the past year.
University was hard and exhausting. And that was saying something when during his time at Hogwarts Harry had to not only try to stay on top of his classes but also deal with a dark wizard who was hell bent on trying to kill him. Though it had to be said that Voldemort had been considerate enough to at least wait until it was in the middle of the exams until he decided to start whatever plans he had been concocting during the year.
But this first week of University he had so much information tossed at him that Harry didn't know left from right anymore. He had met so many incredible new people and not one was interested in the fact that he was Harry Potter which was bloody brilliant. Some did a double take but most simply did not care. And the sheer passion that drove this people, it was invigorating.
Harry came home each night exhausted and he could barely talk during dinner, but he had never felt so alive and ready to face a new day. Eager to learn more and while he knew he still had three years to go before he could even remotely specialize he was glad for those three years. This was something he had chosen and that was what mattered.
But it went without saying that he was looking forward to the weekend and to finally catch up with his lovers. He had barely seen them all week. Let alone actually spoke to them. Severus had been busy with a University on the continent that had reached out to him to ask him to attend a conference. The conference was in two months, but Severus had been asked to be the keynote speaker. He had been working together with the lead researcher to try and get a breakthrough on a revolutionary project which involved instinctive magic and how each person had a different affinity for a different branch of magic. Severus had rarely left his lab in the past few days except to eat and perhaps sleep.
Lucius had been going back to his business of whatever he did during the days when he was working. Harry frowned, after spending all his time with his lover, he still did not know Lucius exact day job. Surely the man must have done something else during the day while he had been playing Death Eater at night. He must have made his riches in a slightly more legal way then just sitting around. If Harry knew Lucius at all he knew one sure way to drive the man insane was to have him sit around doing nothing.
He inhaled deeply when he closed the door behind him. He banished his bookbag to the closet and hung up his coat. It was good to be home. The house smelled delicious and he wondered what or who had been cooking.
"I am home." He shouted. The house was big enough but normally someone should hear him. He followed his nose into the kitchen. He found Lucius standing in the kitchen cooking. Now that was not so much a surprise as Harry had learned that it was a secret passion of his lover, not that he was good at it, but he tried.
"Ah you are home. Good, get changed and then come and help me. Your friends will be here soon."
About to lean over to kiss his lover in greeting, Harry blinked and said. "My friends? When did this happen?"
"You did not make any plans to celebrate the survival of your first week at University with them this weekend?"
"Well, Ron and I spoke about meeting up this weekend to catch up over a drink, but I did not invite them over for dinner. I think Hermione may have invited herself over."
"Yes, that she did. I ran into Miss Granger at the Ministry today to get approval for our research project. We got to talking and I mentioned Harry and I believe that she lectured me about not meeting her and Ron properly yet. I did not mention dinner, but I believe she said that she was happy that you were doing so well. Hence, she and Mr Weasley will be here for dinner at 7."
Harry turned around at Severus' voice. His lover looked delicious with well-cut formal dress robes that made him stand out and made Harry's mouth water. He wanted to tear those robes off and have that man on top of him in 10 seconds. He wondered if they had time for that.
"So, does that explain why Lucius is cooking? Is this a secret plot to poison my friends? You realize that even being with the Chosen One cannot save you from Azkaban if you kill war heroes." Harry grinned at the oven mitten that was thrown at him.
"No, I am not trying to poison your friends. I am merely making dessert and I have ordered the starters and the mains and do not worry, even the dessert is idiot proof so even Weasley should find this acceptable. And do you really think that if we had wanted to kill your friends, you would have been able to find the bodies. Do give us a little more credit, Mr Potter. I have been a Death Eater for longer then you have been alive."
´Are you threatening to bury my friends? You have not even met them." Harry winked at Severus as the Potion Master added.
"Yes, Lucius, I can understand your opinion then but at least give me the pleasure of seeing you suffer their company."
Harry sighed. "You two better behave or otherwise Hermione is not going to leave me alone if she is not impressed by the two of you."
"I believe that we behaved very well the last time we met them."
Harry groaned at that reminder. Yes, they had behaved exceptionally. So well in fact that he had not been complaining at all. But he was not going to repeat that experience now. He wanted to be able to relax with his friends and not….
"I am going to change and get ready. If I know Hermione she will be here even early, then we agreed to meet."

It may have been one of the fastest shower Harry had ever taken. Something had to be said for not having his lovers in the shower to distract him. Though Harry was sure to rectify that tomorrow morning and take a long, long shower with them both. Or perhaps he would take turn and shower twice. Or a bath and a shower as I am sure we will have lots to catch up on…
Now those thoughts perked him up a little bit and Harry had plenty of fun on his own. Despite that it was still a quick shower and he quickly towelled his hair dry. He left the bathroom to find his clothes already laid out for him. He shook his head, trust in his lovers to subtly tell him he had no fashion sense.
Not that it would really matter to either Hermione or Ron what he wore to dinner. His best friends had seen him in all kinds of states, curtsey of sharing a dorm with Ron for the better part of six years and sharing a tent with both for about six months. And then there was all that time he was covered in blood or even ickier things…. He did not want to know what had been in some of the dungeons at Hogwarts.
He picked up the grey slacks Lucius must have left out for him and put them on. They fit like a glove and he frowned at himself as he turned around in the mirror. This must be one of the very first times that he ever wore trousers that fitted him this well. When he had begun working at the Ministry last year after the war he had bought new clothes which had suited his new position and himself. But these must have been custom made for him. That was a luxury Harry had not given himself.
He grinned when he picked up the shirt that went with it. It was a simple polo in dark red and he pulled it on. Lucius was very subtle in his attempts to try to get Harry to wear something other than jeans on occasion. And Harry was having fun being spoiled just a little and of course he just loved seeing Lucius in jeans and Severus as well. His men looked too hot in jeans.
He finished dressing and pulled the cardigan that had been left out with it. It was a darker grey which brought out the colour in his eyes. Lucius did have good taste. He cursed when he heard his name being called and checking his watch, surely it was not 7 already….
He was right, he still had twenty minutes but apparently Hermione had decided to arrive early.

It was Hermione and Ron, and Neville and Luna. Harry blinked and quickened his steps down the stairs. He groaned when Theo landed on his shoulder and thrilled at him, rubbing his head against his cheek. The phoenix puffed himself up and then resettled his feathers. One small dowey feather drifted down to rest on Harry's sleeve and he sighed.
"I have literally been dressed for less than 10 minutes and I cannot even stay clean."
"I think in your chosen uni career, mate, that is something you may have to get used to." Ron grinned at him as he moved to hug Harry and claps his shoulder. He paused when he noticed the phoenix and asked. "So new pet?"
"Yeah, remember me telling you we went on a vacation and well I bonded with a phoenix. You know the usual stuff…" He grinned back and walked past Ron to kiss Hermione on the cheek, then Luna and then Neville, clasping the other man on the shoulder.
Hermione reached up to touch Theo and squawked when the phoenix flew up to land on her shoulder to nuzzle her cheek.
"Please be warned, he is cuddly." Only Severus could make cuddly sound as something horrible. The Potions Master shared a nod with Neville and Luna, who smiled and answered.
"It is good to see you so well recovered from the snake venom, Professor. And Harry, it seems the nargles have finally left you alone now that you have these mighty Slytherins to protect you."
Severus blinked at that, taken aback for a moment before he answered. "I have to agree with Miss Lovegood, you are looking well with the mighty Slytherins to protect you." The other man smirked, and Harry wasn't even sure if he was hiding a smile or not.
"Thanks, Luna, I think…. So, shall we go to the dining room?"
He turned around the lead the way up the stairs. Lucius had chosen not to have dinner in the formal dining room, aware of the memories it held for the last time the Gryffindors had been here, and especially for Hermione. Already, Harry could see her glancing around in uncertainty and she held Ron's hand when he reached out to her. They shared a secret smile, Hermione's one tight. She squared her shoulders as they rounded the corner towards the dining room and when Harry walked past it, she frowned.
"Don't worry. As this is an informal dinner we shall sit in the kitchen. The dining room is only ever useful if it is a truly formal affair or when we have a lot more people." Severus nodded towards the corridor leading down to a staircase.
Giving Hermione's hand another squeeze, Ron let go and quickened his steps to catch up to Harry. "Mate, this place is massive. How have you managed not to get lost just yet?"
"Talk in a louder voice, will you? Do you remember you first few weeks at Hogwarts?"
"Yeah, vaguely…."
"Well, yeah, that is about as many times I got lost here." Harry shared a grin, the memory of Hogwarts for once a fond one. They had many good times there, he did realize that, and it had forged their friendship, but the many fond memories did not outweigh the dark ones or the heavy losses that they had suffered in the Final Battle. And that was not something Harry could forget easily, if ever.
That was one of the many reasons he had elected not to return. He had loved Hogwarts because it had given him his first home but now, being at University, he realized for the first time just how limited Hogwarts had been. He had always been Harry Potter, the Chosen One, or the son of James or Lily Potter but here he was free of all those burdens. His Professors did not see him as anyone else but his own person. It did not matter that he had saved the world, if he failed his exams he was not going to become a Master in his field and to be honest, that felt good. And as Theo landed on his shoulder again, Harry was determined to enjoy this rare evening off with his friends and loved ones as well.

Hermione was nervous as she walked through the Malfoy Mansion. Not about the dinner or to speak to Lucius Malfoy in his own home, but about being here and the memories it brought back to her. She did not want to think on that day and the knife Bellatrix had to her throat the entire time, it haunted her in her darkest hours. She was doing better, it had helped to talk about it with Ron and Harry, and Molly and Ginny but still, being here brought back memories.
But this was Harry's home and she owned it to him to at least try to be comfortable here. It may take considerable effort for her, but she could do it. Memories could not hurt her, and she would be damned if she would let them have power over her. She was stronger than that, especially when it was so much more important to make new memories.
So, she steeled herself as they walked past the dreaded room and something within her breathed a sigh of relief. She knew that if the relationship between, Lucius, Harry and Severus worked out then she would be spending more time here for social events and it would only make sense that the dining room would at some point be used. But that would be a hurdle that she could take another time, right now she could enjoy the dinner.
She smiled as Luna stopped beside her and said. "Lucius has certainly managed to pull any influence from the Dark Lord away from the house. Though I am still thinking it may be better if he redecorated completely."
"For some reason I do not see Lucius as the redecorating type."
"Perhaps Harry needs to charm him a little bit more…" Luna winked. "Oh, you will see how charming I can be." He grinned and winked back.

Lucius had never liked having many people around. He preferred his privacy and his space and Narcissa had understood that. But now, with Harry in his life came a kitchen full of his friends which were loud, drinking his wine and eating his food. And yes, this may not be how he wanted to spend his night many nights but for now he could make an exception. And especially when looking at Harry and how he lit up around his friends, speaking and grinning and looking positively ravishing, he knew he could stand some of these nights.
Severus refilled his glass and toasted his against Lucius'. "To sacrifices?"
Shaking his head lightly he said. "Is it really? I mean, we have not had it easy these past few years, or decades I suppose, and these children have had to fight many battles. If I now see them so happy and it simply means that I give them a place to call home, perhaps it is worth it. And to think how grateful and happy Harry will be at the end, I am sure it will be worth it."
Severus shook his head and leaned against the counter. They had just finished the main course and Harry had suggested a break before dessert. "I am just going to get another glass." Harry nodded and rose to his feet, grabbing his water glass as he went around the table.
Lucius' roamed the younger man's body appreciatively. He had not seen Harry much since he had started University, but the University look suited the younger man. Harry had taken to wearing more form fitting clothing and had even changed his hand me down glasses to something better suited to his face.
"Would you like to swap that glass of water for a glass of wine?" Lucius held up the bottle and Harry took a good long moment to think about it. Pouring him a little bit in a glass, Severus handed it to him. Taking a long sip, Harry nodded and held out his glass.
"So, Harry, tell me, what is it like?"
Lucius took a sip of his wine to hide his wince as he saw Harry stiffening. His lover lean in to whisper ever so slightly. "You know, I said I would not have you hexing any of my friends, but so help me, if Hermione asks anything about our sex life, I will hex her myself."
Severus smirked, and Harry turned around to Hermione, wiggling in between Lucius and Severus as he did so. The comfortable and warm weight of his lover had Lucius reached an arm behind them on the counter. He had selected very good wine.
"And what is what like, Hermione?" He could see Weasley slightly panicked and grab his girlfriend's hand.
"Studying at Cambridge of course! You realize it is only the best University that you could apply for and their library is simply amazing… The faculty is made up of the most brilliant minds in their respected fields and the classes must be so stimulating and exciting. The sheer architectures of the different faculties must be so enlightening, and you must surely feel so…"
"Miss Granger, if I may cut in for a moment, Harry is not you. I am sure he appreciates many things at his opportunity at studying at Cambridge, but he will not appreciate everything."
"I think I appreciate most is not somebody trying to kill me around exam time, which is three times a year." Harry said, as the room erupted into laughter.
"You do not know your Professors yet, they may surprise you by giving you so much work that you'll want to kill yourself." Neville answered with a smile.
"Well actually, they are holding a faculty event next week and they have invited me."
That caused Lucius to blink. "Normally, a faculty event is for faculty and not students." Severus answered silkily. Lucius caught the dark eyes for a moment and, but they revealed nothing. They had not heard of this before.
Harry leaned into him for a moment before shifting his weight to the other side, against Severus and said. "I only received the invite today. During my interview the Professors said that most of the faculty is made up of recent graduates from Cambridge and other highly successful Universities or people who are skilled in their respective fields. They tend to have Professors who are all under 30 to keep up with the trends in the fields and the Professors older then that tend to stay on as consultants. To recruit, they apparently start early."
"Wow, that is incredible, Harry. It is a real honour that they are thinking of you."
"Yeah, especially coming from the fact that I have zero experience in magical creatures."
"Well, I would not call all the magical beings you have encountered zero experience…" Weasley took a sip of his butterbeer.
"I have to say that I agree with Weasley, Harry. You may not have much experience in the theory, but you seem to have plenty of practise in dealing with any magical creatures." Severus made a face that told Lucius enough about what his other lover thought of agreeing with Weasley.
"There was Fluffy, the Sphynx, the Acromantula, the beasts Hagrid actually introduced us to during class, Buckbeak, the Dementors, oh don't forget the dragons that we have seen over the years and the unicorns."
"And this was during your school years? Bloody hell, it is amazing you three have actually passed." Severus poured himself and Harry more wine.
The Potions Master then leaned across Harry to pour Lucius some more wine as well and hissed. "I will hear the full story of these."
"I think you'll need many more glasses of these before I am going to tell you the whole story."
Harry kissed him quickly and then smiled and winked as he walked back to his place at the table. He took another sip of his wine and licked his lips as he positively purred. "I am in the mood for dessert now."
And Lucius had to agree, so was he

Harry had just sat down and stacked up the empty plates when Luna sat down next to him. The smile on her face did not put him at ease, having known her for too long. "Yes, Luna?"
She merely smiled at him and said. "So, what is it like?"
"What is what like?"
She leaned in closer and whispered, looking about. "To be on the receiving end of the Professor Snape's focus and Mr Malfoy's passion?"
Taking a sip of his wine, Harry choked. He really should have expected that question from Luna. He coughed to clear his throat and said. "I do not think that is an appropriate question to talk over dinner."
"Oh, come now, Harry, you must have enlighten us. I bet most of the girls thought about during Hogwarts. And the way you have been fixated on Draco, I did not think you would fall for his father. Though I understand that he does get his charm and looks from."
Coughing really did nothing to clear his throat, though helpful Luna had dropped her voice so only Harry could hear her.
"I don't think fixating is the right word." He managed to say after a moment.
"No, I guess obsessed would cover it more. Though did you not see it for what it was?"
"And what would it be in your opinion, Luna?"
"Lust, pure and simple."
"Yeah, it was not that simple. I hated his guts. Even today, with my relationship with Lucius, I am not sure I like Draco much just yet. And it is not like I have really had much knowledge during my time at Hogwarts or experience to recognize lust from hate or obsession."
"There is often a fine line between the two." Luna grinned in her own unique way and Harry shook his head. "But you still have not answered my question."
"And I will not be answering it. It isn't proper. You are not asking Ron or Hermione how their relationship is or their sex life. My life has hardly been private as have any of my relationships and this is the one thing I have that is mine and I am not saying anything. Why would it be alright to ask me but not them?"
He did not mean to become angry, but it came out slightly sharper. He was not prepared to answer any of them. After Hogwarts and being in the spotlight for so long, he longed for privacy and he knew that there were some things he was not sharing, such as any details about his relationship. And yes, those included questions about his private life from friends. He had to draw the line somewhere and this was it.
He held her gaze and then Luna said. "Fair enough. I mean I cannot fault your good taste in men. I am merely looking for some tips perhaps on how to bag two such fine gentle wizard."
Harry let out laugh and said. "I doubt you need my tips, Luna, especially as your taste in men is completely different then my own." He winked at her and they shared a laugh.
"So, is this young Professor from the University your type?" Harry choked on his wine again, damn, sometimes he hated Luna.

The evening passed by in a blur with dodging questions and laughs but it was still with a sigh of relief that Harry closed the door behind the last of them, with a promise that they would soon meet for lunch. He leaned against the door and ran a hand through his hair before he pushed away. He should go find his lover and reward them for good behaviour and he had just the idea.
It only took ten minutes to leave a trial of clothes and a promise of him in hot shower for his lovers to come find them. And as Harry led them from them to the sitting room in front of the fire, he showed that how rewarding he could be when they behaved.
That is, it for now. I hope it wasn't too all over the place and you enjoyed it. Review please
In the next chapter: Harry goes to the faculty party and has some interesting conversations with his Professors. Severus faces some interesting conservation of his own as he is invited to a conference where Lucius is not welcome as their combined past deeds come back to haunt them. How will our trio deal with this?
