Sirius squirmed uncomfortably, looking around. There were books everywhere! And the Ravenclaws at the next table over kept staring; honestly, it was getting irritating.
Remus didn't notice any of this. He was writing away, occasionally glancing at the notes or books strewn around him. The notes were the only reason that Sirius was here. They were his, and he was using them as well.
Normally, this wouldn't be true. Remus would have the essay finished long before Sirius, and certainly wouldn't depend on Sirius' notes to write one at all. But the full moon had prevented him from going to class, and so he had asked Sirius for his.
Sirius glanced around again, glaring at the Ravenclaws that continued to watch him. Was it that odd for him to be in the library?
Yes, it is. Sirius ignored the little voice, which sounded a lot like Remus, and glared again, until they looked away.
"Sirius. Don't scare the Ravenclaws. You know they're busy working." Remus didn't even look up from his paper. Sirius looked back at his own essay, grumbling,
"If they're so busy, how can they keep staring?" Remus smiled, glancing at him.
"Multitasking. It's a House trait, you know." Sirius scribbled a few words down, before setting the quill down again.
"Is that how you can stare at me and pay attention in class?" Sirius looked at him, grinning. Remus twitched, blushing.
"I don't stare at you in class!" He said this a bit too loudly, and quickly lowered his voice as some other students turned to look.
"That's ridiculous, Sirius." Sirius' grin widened.
"Then why're you blushing?" Remus' blush worsened, if it was possible. He abruptly stood, packing up his notes.
"I'm finished, let's go." He walked out of the library, and Sirius quickly gathered his things and followed, shooting another look at the Ravenclaws before he left.
Catching up with Remus, Sirius noticed he was still slightly flushed. He grinned, and shoved them both into an empty classroom.
"Sirius! What're you doing?" Sirius walked slowly toward him. Remus backed away until he hit a desk. His bag lay forgotten, along with Sirius', at the door.
Sirius neared, until he was only inches away from Remus' face.
"Collecting payment. I did lend you my notes."
"Wha-" But Sirius cut him off. With his lips, to be exact. Remus' eyes shot wide open, and he pulled back.
"Wh- what was that?" Sirius grinned at him.
"You're a smart lad, I'd've thought you'd figure it out." Remus continued to stare at him. Sirius sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"I like you, you daft twat. Okay?" Remus blinked. And blinked again.
"You like me?" Sirius nodded.
"This isn't some prank of your's and James'?"
"I wouldn't do that!" Remus raised a brow.
"Okay, maybe I would, but not to you!" Remus shook his head. Sirius groaned.
"Fine. I'll show you." And he kissed him again. And again. Remus grabbed the back of his head, tangling his fingers in his long hair. Sirius leaned closer, pushing him into the desk.
Finally, oxygen became important, and they pulled apart. Sirius leaned his forehead on Remus'.
"Believe me now?" Remus grinned at him.
"I never didn't." Sirius blinked, leaning back a bit.
"But then why did you-"
"It was more fun to make you prove it." He slipped past Sirius, grabbing both their bags and walking towards the door.
"Oi! You coming, or what? James is gonna try and 'woo' Lily with his singing! You Don't wanna miss it, do ya?" Remus left the room.
Sirius stood there a moment longer, before running after Remus again, grabbing his hand. They reached the portrait hole, where the sounds of a dying cat reached their ears.
"Hurry, we're going to miss her hexing him!" And Sirius dragged Remus through, where they sat down on one of the couches, still holding hands, watching as James grew long tentacles out of his face, effectively cutting off and speech.
