Tobias walked towards a large settlement in the middle of the forest. There were huts and shacks, guarded by all kinds of people. They wore no specific uniform. It was clear that they were not slavers or hostile soldiers. He had followed the guards to this place, and now, it was time to make contact with them. Almost immediately, he was greeted by the sounds of men yelling at him to put his hands up. Slowly, he did so. He had no weapons on him, thinking better than to take any with him. He wanted to show them that he meant no harm. "I am unarmed!" Tobias shouted out to them, but he wasn't sure he was heard over the sound of them all yelling different orders to him.
"Get on your knees!"
"Hands behind your head!"
"On the ground, now!"
He saw a mixture of humans and pokemon. All of them were wearing different clothes, mismatching uniforms, and holding weapons of various kinds. They didn't look like any kind of professional force he had ever seen. They looked more like militia, desperately cobbled together from whatever they could find. This only let him to believe that these people were in fact former slaves. Slowly, he dropped to his knees whilst maintaining eye contact with a ninetales that was currently snarling at him.
"Wait!" A gallade walked over towards Tobias, squinting his eyes a little. "I recognize this guy. He was part of the team that set me free."
"Are you sure?" a human asked him.
"I'm positive. Where are the others you were with?"
Once Tobias saw them, lowering their guns, he stood up. "They're around you. Come on out!" Tobias yelled out as his entire team emerged from the bushes. "We couldn't take any chances, we had to make sure that you were former slaves, and not slavers. We can make sure we're useful. Most of us here have some form of combat experience. We even have a fully qualified doctor."
"That's good, we really need more medics. We've got a lot of injured people here, and not enough people to treat them. Any extra help would be great," the gallade told them.
"Who's in charge here? I have some information I think will be useful," Tobias said.
"You'd probably be best going to the second in command, Dean, You can't miss him. He's the tall zoroark who speaks to humans without a translator. He'll be the one to assign each one of you some jobs. Oh, I am also going to have to ask you to leave your weapons here. Don't worry, if he decides you're not a threat, then you'll get them back," the gallade replied.
Louis didn't like the idea of just handing over their weapons, especially considering how vulnerable he was without one now. He was badly injured, and having a gun made him feel at least a little safer. "I'd like to keep my gun..."
The gallade narrowed his eyes at Louis. "I am sure you would, but we can't just allow strangers with guns in here. We have women and kids in there with us."
"So do we," Louis firmly replied.
Tobias quickly interrupted the two of them. "Louis, stop it. You'll get your gun back eventually. Right now, we need to meet the people running this place. Give your gun to him."
Reaper could see that Louis wasn't about to hand his gun over, so he decided to try and talk him into it. "We're safe here, don't worry. If anything goes wrong, I'll have your back."
Louis sighed, guessing he was just a little irritated and paranoid. The bullet that took his hand seemed to come out of nowhere, he wasn't ready for it. He blamed himself, thinking that he should've been more aware. He didn't want that to happen again. But, he guessed he was being a little too cautious in this case. He just hoped Tobias knew what he was doing. "Fine, take it."
Tobias took the gun away from Louis, and handed it over to the gallade. Everyone else handed over their weapons without hesitation. "Where can we find Dean?"
"Just look for the bunker and ask around. Someone will know where he is. Actually, on second thought, I'll take you to him. Don't want to get into trouble for letting strangers wander around our home." The gallade went ahead, and escorted them through their home.
Tobias looked around as few followed the gallade in front of him. This place really wasn't much to look at. There were a few old wooden buildings and huts. It was then he noticed something rather unusual, a very strong looking building made of concrete. It looked to be some kind of old bunker. There were guards standing guard outside of it. It was clear that must be where their leader was. As he got closer to the structure, he noticed the hum of a generator. They had electricity. "Where did you get all these weapons from?" Tobias asked.
"I can't say. If you have any questions, you're better off asking Dean," the gallade replied as he stopped in front of another guard, a golduck. "Is Dean here? We've got some new arrivals, one of them supposedly has something important to say to him."
"Yeah, he's in there. He should be in his room. Head right in," the female golduck replied.
"Thanks," the gallade said before entering the bunker with everyone else. The place was lit up with small bulbs, construction lights and the occasional florescent light. It was clear that they were quite good at making the best of what they had. Quickly, they were escorted into a room with no windows, only lit by a single bulb hanging from the ceiling. In the middle of the room, there was a desk, and at the back, there was bed. The walls and the floors were all made up of concrete. Sitting at the desk was a zoroark, wearing black trousers and a tactical vest. "Sir, we've got new comers. I figured you'd want to see them because one says he has some kind of valuable information."
The zoroark looked behind the gallade, seeing a few people standing there. "Bring them in."
Tobias was the first to enter the room, and the first to speak. "I'll make this quick. I am an agent. I was with a team, and half of us were captured, but we managed to escape. We freed some slaves, and now we need help getting off this island. I believe we can help each other."
"Whoa, that's quite a story. Got any proof?" The zoroark wanted to believe this guy was an agent, but he had no reason to believe him.
Tobias looked back to the gallade. "Want to tell him how we freed you?"
The gallade nodded. "It's true that they freed us. At the very least, he and his team are trustworthy."
Ellis looked rather happy to hear that. If this man really was an agent, then that was the first bit of good news he had heard in a long time. "So, you say you're an agent?" The zoroark took a moment to look over the other people with him. "Quite a strange team you have. An abra?"
"The abra is not part of the team. Only Louis, Kovick, and Reaper are part of my team." Tobias pointed to each team member as he brought up their names. "The rest are just tagging along, looking for somewhere safe."
"I can understand that... I just wish there was a safer place than here on this island. This resistance we have built up is getting smaller and smaller each day. They're stepping up stronger defences at their outposts and checkpoints. We have a lot of injured coming in, the men aren't all that well trained either. Most of them are civilians, so becoming a soldier all of a sudden is tough on them, you know? Right now, we need all the help we can get," the zoroark told him.
"And we need your help too. I think we can come to some sort of an agreement."
After almost half an hour of discussion, each person was assigned their different jobs. Most were assigned as guards or hunters, with the exception of Kovick, who was best suited to be a medic. Tobias was also given the job of training up the new recruits. They would begin their new jobs tomorrow, with the option of starting today. One by one, each person left the room, until there was only Tobias and the zoroark left.
"So, do you have a plan to get us off this island?" Dean the zoroark asked.
"Of course. The way I see it, there are three options. We can get out of here by air, sea, or I could make a call to some friends in high places. Do you think you can get us some communication with the outside world?" Tobias asked.
"Ahh, not right now, but, we could try taking over certain places. Although a move like that would be risky, and I am sure that reinforcements would arrive to try and destroy us so they can regain control of their comms," Dean told him.
Tobias knew that was a huge risk, but it was worth it. It was either that, or wait for the soldiers and slavers to destroy them all. "That is fine. We only need to get communication with the outside world for a brief time."
"Who's this?" a human asked. He walked into the room, walking around the desk the zoroark sat at. The human was around about six foot tall, with a well toned body. He wore an olive drab shirt and black cargo trousers. His clothes looked messy, scraped up. He himself looked like he had been through a lot. He was thirty years old, with green eyes and short brown hair. He had a full, but short beard, about one inch in length.
"Oh, this is Tobias. He is an agent. I was just about to come find you. He seems to believe that he can help us. He wants to try get us off this island," Dean replied.
The human sighed as he looked back to Tobias. "Whatever plan it is you think you have, I assure you, we have already tried it."
"You have tried taking over their comms to get help from the outside?" Tobias asked.
The human looked to Dean. "Did you try talking him into this? Ellis here has tried that before, and failed."
"It was a solid plan, the execution was just all wrong though. There were too many mistakes made last time. This time, we won't screw up," Dean replied.
Tobias noticed something when the human was talking. He called Dean, Ellis. Did he have two names? "Ellis?"
The zoroark only just realized that the human had made a slip up. "I, uh... I am known by two names here most just know me as Dean."
"Only people who have something to hide have two names," Tobias said. He found it odd that he went by two different names. Perhaps he was trying to protect someone, something, or himself.
"And is Tobias your real name?" the zoroark inquired, knowing that it was probably very unlikely that an agent would actually use their real name.
Tobias didn't answer the question. Instead, he turned his attention to the other human in the room. "And what should I call you?"
"You can call me Calvin," he replied. "So, back to the plan. I don't think it is a good idea to just repeat the same idea again. We lost a lot of people last time, our numbers just aren't enough."
"What if we sent in a small force first to weaken or serve as a distraction?" Tobias asked.
Calvin didn't like this idea, but he did know that they were running out of options. "Who would be willing to serve as a distraction though? It sounds so risky, I doubt anyone would volunteer."
"Staying here and doing nothing is far riskier. Give me some time with your men, and I will make them see that this is the only way we are getting out of this place alive." Tobias was confident that he could convince some men to go along with him and serve as a distraction.
Calvin hated to admit it, but the only way to get out of here was over the bodies of the fallen. A lot of people were going to die if they chose to go through with this plan, but he wanted to keep casualties to a minimum. "If you can get the volunteers and convince the others, I will give this plan a shot. I can't blame them if they are against it though, even if a few of them do want revenge."
Tobias knew that the plan may have failed once before, but they didn't have him around last time they executed their plan. "I'll see what I can do," he said before then excusing himself from the room.
Calvin sat down on the edge of Ellis' desk. "Looks like you have been busy. How are you holding up?"
"I'm alright, just another day," the zoroark smiled.
Calvin smiled a little before leaning forwards, and kissing the zoroark's lips. "Not every day we get to meet an agent though. He seems a little old, but I have seen some old really tough bastard in my time. Maybe he can help us out."
"Your mind is always on keeping everyone safe. You need to relax a bit. I uh, have a few ideas on how to help you out there," the zoroark said with a sly smile.
"Oh, you do?" Calvin was looking forward to seeing exactly what this zoroark meant by that.
The zoroark stood up, and pressed his lips against Calvin's. It felt so good just to relax, even for just a short while. Once he felt the human's hands slipping down to his rear, he let out a soft almost feminine moan.
"You sound so cute when you're turned on," Calvin chuckled. He planted a kiss on the zoroark's nose. It was then that something caught his eye. "Someone is excited."
Ellis then pointed at Calvin's crotch. "And it looks like I am not the only one."
"Let's lock the door for a while." Calvin said before pushing himself away from the desk. He didn't want anyone to interrupt his alone time with Ellis.
Three hours later.
Tobias sat on a fallen tree, looking out at the soldiers they were training. Most of them weren't made for this. A lot of these people came from places where they didn't have to worry about fighting, or risking their lives. This was a shock to a lot of them, but they needed to be taught how to handle themselves. He had agreed to help them, train them. They needed someone with the experience to teach them not just how to handle a weapon, but to survive. He needed to tear down every man and woman here, and turn them into capable fighters. These were tough men they were fighting against, so they needed to be even tougher, and smarter. They needed to have nerves of steel. It was easy, fighting a static target. It took a lot to stay calm even with someone trying to kill you. He remembered his first time in combat. It was fairly easy, taking out people from a distance, but, it got much harder when the people were only a few feet away from him. His aim was completely off, panic set in. He had to learn from his mistakes. It had been a long time since his first taste of combat, now, he couldn't imagine himself doing anything else.
"Tobias?" Myla walked over to him, seeing that he was sitting here alone. He looked as if he had a lot on his mind. "Is something that wrong?"
"No... Nothing is wrong." Tobias wasn't a very talkative guy. He used to be, but over the years, he learned that it was best to keep his mouth shut. He treated almost every time he talked to someone almost like an interrogation. He didn't want people to know too much about him. He knew that as an agent, he could trust no one. Even around agents, he didn't share anything that wasn't common knowledge amongst them. Some things were best kept dead and buried forever. "Why do you ask?"
"You just looked a little lonely, sitting here by yourself."
"I prefer to be alone. It makes things less complicated."
Myla felt a little awkward. She almost felt as if Tobias wanted her to leave. "I just wanted to thank you again, for giving me a chance." She knew that the decision to keep her around or kick her out was up to Tobias. She was thankful that he gave her a chance.
Tobias looked to the flareon, knowing all this couldn't be easy on her. He was used to this. Fighting for his life, and taking away the lives of others was normal for him. It was what he excelled at. Night, day, scorching heat, or below freezing temperatures, nothing would stop him from completing his mission. He always came out on top, even if he had to make tough choices and sacrifices. Sometimes he forgot to remember that not everyone was as used to this as he was. His civilian life was a very distant memory. "You've done well, surviving this long." He wasn't very good at talking to other people, after all, he was not exactly like other people. He had dedicated so much of his life to serving his region, and the agency. "... Charlie is an interesting man. I think he might be exaggerating about how many people he has killed. I am sure he has killed people, but not as many as he says."
"Why do you say that?" Myla asked.
"He seems too cheerful, and happy. Maybe he views every person he kills as someone who has wronged him. Sooner or later, he will realize that not every enemy combatant is just a faceless enemy. They have their own motivations, reasons and beliefs for fighting. Some of them are not entirely unjustified, even if they do work for someone who is generally viewed as evil."
"Are you saying you feel sorry for the slavers and soldiers you've killed?" Myla had a rather inquisitive look on her face.
"Sorry is a strong word. Let's just say I feel that their lives are wasted. I have killed people for joining an organization that they never wanted to be apart of in the first place. I have killed people because they had no where else to turn. I have killed people because they were so desperate for change, they would do anything to make it happen. I have killed people, because they wanted a roof over their head. The slavers and soldiers we fight are not all evil. Some are trying to run away from their past. Some are homeless willing to do anything for a home. Some are people who were coerced into joining, or risk death. In the end, they are people just like you, or me. They live, they love, they bleed, and they die."
"I know they are people, but I just want them to die... I didn't do anything to anyone, I shouldn't be hunted like this."
"Both sides will hurt, and kill people if it gets them one step closer to victory. If Silas wins this war, he will be viewed as a hero who took the necessary steps to achieve victory. If he loses, he will be viewed as a vile man who brought back slavery for both humans and pokemon alike. Whoever wins, writes history. All the bad deeds will be swept under the rug until the details are declassified later on down the line. It has always been that way, and I don't expect it to change anytime soon."
All this talk of the war only filled Myla's head with more questions. There was one question she wanted an answer for in particular. "Why do you think Silas does all this?"
"Why? It could be for power, or maybe he is trying to prove something to himself. I do not know the man, I only know what I have heard. So far, no one seems to know his true motives. He keeps his cards close to his chest."
Myla thought Tobias was a very strange man. Most of the time, he seemed so cold and calculating. She knew that couldn't be the way he is all the time. "How do you deal with this stuff?
"Stuff? You're going to have to be more specific."
"With this place, with the war, with everything."
"After a while, it seems like just another day." Tobias knew that Myla must be having a tough time, trying to survive in a place like this. "It gets easier. At first, I struggled. I ended so many lives of people that were just like mine, just following orders. Now, I feel nothing when I kill. It is just as easy as breathing, or blinking. We all end up in the ground, one way or another."
Myla thought the way Tobias looked at things was extremely grim. It was hard for her to believe someone could feel nothing when they see another person die. "I... I have lost friends, family, and seen so many other people just die. It hurts to just hear about all the bad things other people here have been through. Don't you feel anything when someone close to you dies?"
Tobias thought for a moment on that question. It didn't take him long to find an answer. "I used to."
"But not anymore?"
"No, not anymore. I find it is better to not have friends, family, or lovers. All of them could betray you, and all of them are just distractions."
"Distractions? They're what I think makes life worth living. Life would just be lonely without them." Myla wondered why this man seemed to isolate himself. She could see he wasn't really a people person, but she thought that It might have something to do with his job. She knew he was an agent of some kind, maybe he needed to remain secretive. "What do you do when you're not fighting?"
"I wait, but I don't have to wait long. Even when Silas was a nobody, people needed other people dead. Even when Silas and I are long gone, people will still be killing people."
"Why do you do it?"
"Because it's what I am best at. I don't belong as a civilian. I am not interested in a family, or making friends. I will always be a fighter. My job is all I have left."
"All you have left? Don't you have a wife? Or kids?"
Tobias felt as if he may have let a little too much information slip out whilst talking to her. However, he knew that she was pretty much a nobody. He also knew he would be endangering no one but himself by revealing a little more about his past. "No. No wife. No kids. No one to ask questions if I suddenly go missing. The agency's top people are usually the type that don't have wives or husbands. I was once in a relationship, but it ended badly. I am not the type of person anyone wants to be with, not that it bothers me much... You're awfully curious, aren't you? Asking all these questions."
"You don't really talk much, so I just have to pry a little harder to find out more about you," she casually said with a little smile on her face.
"Don't pry too much. I might have to kill you if you learn something important."
A very worried look quickly crossed her face. Did he really mean it? "U-uh..."
"That was a joke," Tobias told her, smirking a bit.
"Don't scare me like that!" she pouted whilst she watched the human stand up.
"Sorry, I still need to work on my people skills. Looks like I am not going to be working alone again for a while..."
Whilst Tobias was talking to Myla, Kovick was in the bunker, helping out the injured. He had plastic gloves on, which had small specks of blood on them. He was looking down to a gallade's thigh. He was in a section of the bunker that had been converted into a sort of hospital. There were florescent lights on the ceiling, keeping everything bright despite the lack of windows. The gallade he was inspecting was sat on a simple wooden chair. The conditions here were far from ideal, but Kovick was doing his best with what little he had. Once he had the gallade's wound all treated and wrapped up, he smiled. "Good news, I think you're going to be just fine. And don't worry, I am certain it didn't hit the artery. We would both know for sure if it did."
"Oh, thank fuck..." the gallade breathed a sigh of relief.
"It shouldn't take too long for you to be up and walking around again. I will be checking up on your wound again tomorrow."
A male sceptile holding a branch as big as a cane walked over to Kovick. "This is all I could find."
"This will do. Thank you," Kovick said as he took the branch, and handed it over to the gallade. "I wish I could give you a real crutch, but this will do the job too."
"Thanks doc, nhm."
Kovick helped up the gallade, as did the sceptile. "Try and get some rest," he said as he let the sceptile escort the gallade out. As he watched them walking out, he wondered what time it was. It had been a good few hours since he started helping out the injured. He decided to take a quick break, and bin the bloody gloves he wore. He made his way through the halls of the bunker, and out into the centre of the settlement. It was nice to get out of the bunker and see some natural light. He stepped out into the open, and took a breath of fresh air.
Nearby, the young flareon Charlie sat next to a small bonfire. As he watched the flames dance about, he wore a distant look. "I wish I could go home..."
Kovick saw the flareon from a distance. It wasn't hard to tell him apart from the others. "Hey, room for one more?" he asked as he pointed to the empty ground next to Charlie. He could use a good conversation to get his mind off his own mortality. It was almost constantly on his mind, even before he was brought to this island. In his line of work, seeing people die was normal. It was a constant reminder that everyone's time comes one way or another. He didn't talk about it much, preferring to keep those thoughts to himself. Judging from the look on Charlie's face, he wasn't the only one with something on his mind.
Charlie blinked a few times before turning to Kovick with a smile. "Yeah. Sorry. I just have a lot on my mind. I wish we could just leave this island, and go somewhere truly safe..."
"Not having to worry about slavers, soldiers and explosions would be a nice change." Kovick sat down next to the flareon, getting warm by the fire. He could understand just wanting to be away from this place. It was terrifying, knowing that a sniper bullet, or one well hidden mine could just end his life. It frightened him. He had seen what both of those things can do to people. "I hope we all get off this island safely, I really do. This place, it scares me..." In a way, it felt good to just admit that he was scared. He tried to put on a brave face and just carry out orders most of the time, but he wasn't a fighter like Tobias. He was good at putting people back together, not tearing them apart.
Charlie's ears perked up at hearing Kovick being scared. "You're scared, too, huh? I'm scared every day. Scared every day that I won't wake up, scared that I will be tortured...I hate it...and Silas...I want to tear his throat open!" The young flareon growled as he looked into the fire, as if searching for an answer he wanted.
"You're more likely to finish him off than I am. I was trained to fight, and handle a weapon, but I am not like Tobias. I am not a great fighter. I belong in a hospital more than I belong on the battlefield, but here I am. I am worried that in the next battle, I just won't be fast enough." Kovick looked to the flareon, seeing him as more of a fighter than he was. He may be smaller, but size didn't matter when his flames could fill an entire room. "I don't want to die yet. There's still so much I want to do..."
Charlie's ears flatten as he walks over Kovick. "Like what? Win a lot of money? Get a big fancy home? Get a woman?" Charlie smirked and nudged Kovick slightly.
Kovick smiled a little at his words. "Something like that. There is this one woman I have been meaning to talk to. She's a cute ninetales, called Aneko. I was always too worried about stuff like, what if she rejects me? After I get out of here, maybe I will just tell her how I feel the next time I see her."
While pawing absent-mindedly at the ground, Charlie thinks to himself. The young flareon wore a look of confusion as he spoke up. "What is she like? I've never seen a ninetails before."
"She's beautiful. She's a four-legged canine with golden fur, and bright red eyes. She's a little under four foot tall, but her kind have a much longer life span than us humans. That's the main problem really, the life span issue... If I did get with her, I would only be alive for a small portion of her life." Kovick's smile soon faded, thinking about that fact.
Charlie smiled as he tried to brighten the conversation up. "At least you could be with her. Any time spent with a loved one is valuable."
Kovick knew that he should look on the bright side of it too. He just hoped that Aneko wouldn't reject him because of the life span difference. "Once we get off this island, I am never going to take time with friends or loved ones for granted ever again."
"Kovick? Do you have any other friends? You seem like the kind of guy who does. I wish I had more friends..." Charlie lowers his head in sadness.
Hearing Charlie say that brought up a few questions. "I have a few friends, but they're all the way back in Johto and Sinnoh. You probably have more friends than I do. You seem like a fun kind of guy after all." The way Charlie spoke, he made it sound as if he didn't have many friends at all. He couldn't imagine why he wouldn't have a load of friends. Kovick thought he was a nice guy. Right now, he could use an extra friend to just talk to, and get things off his mind.
Charlie crawled over into Kovick's lap. With a smile, he looks up at Kovick. "I have a few friends back home. I'm sure they are still waiting for me to return." Charlie then playfully nudges Kovick's hands with his forehead.
Kovick stroked the top of Charlie's head. "I can imagine all of our friends and family getting together, and throwing a big welcoming party for us. We could fill our stomachs with hot food, and drink, and then just relax afterwards." He stroked over the flareon's back as he thought about just having a good time instead of worrying. "What are your friends like?"
Charlie smiled. "All of them are part of what humans call 'Eeveelutions'. They don't have names like I do, so I call them by what they are. They all thought of me as the little brother of our group." Charlie relaxed at Kovick's touch as he thought about his old life.
"That must've got confusing if there were more than one of the same type," Kovick thought aloud. One benefit of having a name like Kovick was that it was unique. No one ever yelled out his name when searching for someone else in a public place. "I've seen most types of eeveelutions, with the exception of vaporeons and sylveons. I always thought eevees were amazing, the way they can grow up into so many different types. Biologically, I think they are the most exciting type of pokemon."
Charlie smiled as he stretched out comfortably in Kovick's lap. "Vaporeon are like fish. Sylveon? They are very pretty."
"Perhaps one of these days, I will get to meet one in the flesh. I was lucky enough to meet two flareons in the same place after all," Kovick replied. He stroked all the way down the side of Charlie's body again and again. He was lost in his own thoughts for a moment, thinking of seemingly unimportant things. It felt good to get his mind off everything else for a while.
Charlie purred softly as Kovick continued petting. He thought about his former master, and sighed happily before speaking up. "You remind me of my former master. When we came home from police work, we would relax like this. He was...nice..." The young flareon's ears flattened slightly at the sad yet happy memory.
"He sounds like a nice man. I would've liked to meet him," Kovick quietly replied as he kept stroking the flareon. He knew it must've been terrible for Charlie, having to lose someone so close to him. "What did he like to do?" he asked. He wanted to try get Charlie's mind on the happier moments with his master instead of the sadder ones. He just hoped it didn't make Charlie feel worse by bringing it up. Part of him already regretted asking.
Charlie smiled as he recalled happier times. "We ran a lot. He loved running, and so did I. I still do. Every morning, before work, we would wake up early to go out, and run. Sometimes I had trouble keeping up with him because he was so fast." With a soft chuckle, Charlie's ears straighten upwards. "We often saw movies. I saw one about a zangoose, and human who fell in love. th-That was my favorite..." Charlie blushed as his head filled with thoughts about romance.
"He must've been really fast to outrun a flareon." Kovick wished he was that fast. He was quick, but he didn't think he could keep up with Charlie. One thing Charlie said really caught his attention. "Are you a fan of romance movies?"
Charlie simply nodded as he attempted to hides his embarrassment behind his front paws.
Seeing Charlie do that only made Kovick think the flareon was kind of cute. He felt a little strange, thinking of another guy as cute whilst stroking his fur. He didn't think about it too much though. "Nothing wrong with that. I haven't really watched any romance movies lately. I haven't had a chance to because I have been so busy with everything else. I would love to just sit back, and watch a movie right now, even a romance movie. Do you think I'd like it?"
Charlie nodded with a smile, while still blushing. "Maybe we could watch it together when we get out of here?"
"I'd like that a lot," Kovick happily replied. After everything that he has seen, all the shooting and the blood, watching a romance movie was possibly the best way to escape reality for a moment.
Meanwhile, Calvin panted a little as he looked up at the zoroark on top of him. They were both in bed, the covers barely covering up what was going on underneath it. They had both just finished making love, but they weren't exhausted yet. "If my superiors could see me now, they would think I am sick. But, I don't give a shit what they would think," he happily told Ellis.
"I never thought I would end up falling for a human... I just noticed something, you're losing weight, aren't you?"
"Well, we have been rationing our food a lot more this past week. Heh, let me tell you, when I get out of here, I am going to find myself some crispy chicken! And nice big fat fries to go along with it. Oh, and some beer too."
"Ohh no, don't bring up food. Just the thought of squid ink and pasta makes my mouth water!" Already, he was imagining himself stuffing his face full of his favourite food.
"That's not the only thing that makes your mouth do that," he naughtily replied.
Ellis chuckled before just happily laying on top of the human. "You're a very dirty man," he whispered.
"And you love it." Calvin ran his fingers through the zoroark's hair. Most of the reason he fought so hard these days was because of Ellis. He held this place together not just because it was the right thing to do, because he wanted a safe place for his partner. Once they get off this island, he planned on just living out the rest of his days far away from danger, with Ellis. So many people wanted them dead, but he wasn't about to let anyone hurt Ellis. "You're my zoroark, and I will fight any bastard that tries to get between us..."
"Not if I tear them apart apart first," Ellis smirked. He was just as tough as Calvin, and they both knew it.
Calvin didn't doubt that Ellis meant that literally. "I would hate to be the guy that gets on your bad side, unless there is angry sex later."
Ellis stroked the scars all over the human's body. Most of them were on his chest and arms. "You want some more already?"
"What can I say, I'm addicted to you." In Calvin's mind, the only thing that could make this better was if they were back home, warm and safe.
"You horny human," the zoroark said with a big grin on his face. Soft grunts escaped his lips as he moved his hips. He could feel the human still inside of him. He was going to give his handsome human exactly what he wanted.
Calvin could feel his zoroark's warm insides clenching at his hard shaft. He was about to speak, but then, Ellis started riding him hard and fast. "Ohh, fuck!" He grabbed the zoroark by the waist as the covers shifted, exposing their naked bodies.
Ellis gazed into his lover's eyes whilst taking his entire length. His canine member slapped against Calvin's stomach every time he pushed himself down onto him. His thick knotted cock twitched as he took it all for his human. "Fuck me! Fuck me harder!"
Calvin drove his cock deep into his zoroark, humping at his ass whilst bringing him down harder onto his member. He was determined to fuck this zoroark into cumming all over his body. He wanted to feel his hot seed all over his bare skin. Mercilessly, he pounded the pokemon's asshole, going balls deep with each thrust. He had came inside the zoroark once tonight already, but he was more than ready to do so again. His heart raced as they made love. He kept eye contact with Ellis the entire time, until he suddenly grabbed the zoroark's head with both hands. Almost as soon as their lips met again, he pushed his tongue deep into his mouth. Together, they shared a long, wet kiss even as they fucked. Their tongues intertwined, and their saliva mixed. They only pulled out of the kiss to breathe, and let out loud, lusty moans. "Keep this up, and I'll fill your cute ass real soon!"
Ellis panted softly whilst taking every last inch his human had. He could feel it, so deep inside of him. It was touching and rubbing all the right places. The thought of the human's cum filling his back passage turned him on so much. Calvin was such a tough guy, but in bed, he got to see a softer side to him that no one else got to see. He talked dirty, but he could see just how much the human cared about him whenever their eyes met. He bounced on the human's cock, panting harder and harder as he felt Calvin's dick pressing against spots inside him that made him squirm and scream out in pure joy. "Cum for me... Cum for your zoroark!"
Those words only made Calvin's head swim with such dirty and arousing thoughts. It pushed him closer to his climax, almost driving him over the edge again. He couldn't stop himself from looking down to the zoroark's big thick cock. He reached out, and grabbed the zoroark's fat member. "Y-you first!"
Ellis let out a loud moan as he watched the human slide his hand over his big fat shaft. His dick twitched at Calvin's touch, he knew exactly where to touch him to get him cumming, but he was determined to make the human spill his load first. He gyrated his hips, moving them rhythmically, feeling the human's dick rubbing his bowels in such a way that brought them both such joy. He wasn't sure who he was pleasing more, himself, or his partner. "Mmm!" He was not sure if he could hold out longer than him after all, but as soon as that thought entered his mind, he watched as Calvin exhaled so hard.
"Ffffff..." Calvin had to try his hardest not to just scream and yell out as he stroked over his lover's knot, and pumped his ass full of his hot human seed. Although he was cumming, he was far from done. His fingers rubbed behind the zoroark's knot whilst he used his other hand to caress his shaft. He gazed straight into Ellis' eyes, wanting to see the look on his face when he eventually blows too. He didn't have to wait much longer.
The feel of the human's cock inside him, his hot cum soaking his insides, the feel of his hands at his member, all of it so easily pushed him over the edge. Passionately, he rode his dick, panting so hard before letting out several big loud huffs. He too kept eye contact, a smirk spreaded across his face when he saw his own seed spraying out not just over the human's chest, but his face too. His blood was pumping, lust clouding his mind for a moment. He didn't care who heard them together, all that mattered was this moment. He leaned down, and shoved his tongue into Calvin's mouth.
Calvin kissed him right back, holding it for a good long while before breaking away. "Ahh... Fuck... You really know how to drain me," he said with a big happy smile on his face. "I love your furry ass..."
Ellis chuckled as he lay on top of Calvin, not wanting to get off him just yet. "Love you too... Heh, what are you going to do when we get off this island?"
"Move the fuck away from Kanto, for sure. I can't fight for a government that won't let us be together..."
Ellis smiled, knowing that this was just the beginning for them. He hoped to move somewhere more friendly towards their kind of relationship. "What about Hoenn? Could always move there."
"I'd like to move there... If we do get off this island, I am selling all my stuff, and heading straight there. If I am lucky, maybe I will be able to land myself a good job... It is going to be hard, getting back to a normal life after being out here for so long, but I can't wait to just stop fighting, and worrying..."
"Now that agent guy is here, maybe we can finally make another push for freedom..."
"I really hope this plan works... I am not sure how much longer we can hold out..." Calvin closed his eyes, and wrapped his arms around the zoroark. He just wanted to stop worrying about if they were going to live to see tomorrow. Every day was a fight, and he was getting worn down.
Ellis kissed at Calvin's cheek. "We're doing well here... We can hold out for a while, so long as we have you," he said to him. He knew so many people looked up to Calvin. He didn't just look up to him, he adored him. Although he wouldn't ever carry out an order if he thought it was a bullshit order, Calvin never gave an order he disagreed with, not yet anyway. He knew he was under a lot of stress lately, but he hoped he had taken his mind off it a little.
Outside, Louis found a nice quiet spot away from everyone else. He was tired of hearing people asking about how he lost his hand, and if he was alright. He noticed people looking at the stump of where his hand used to be, and he didn't like that at all. He had told Reaper he just needed some time alone, but then he noticed that the old scyther was approaching him once again. "Can't you leave me alone for two fucking seconds?"
Reaper shook his head once he heard that mean comment. "Can't you pull yourself together? Who are you helping by sitting down and pouting like a child?"
"Fuck off!" Louis yelled as he pushed himself back up onto his feet with his only good hand. "I got my fucking hand blown off! I think I deserve some fucking rest! Give me a fucking break, and go bother someone else!"
"Direct your anger at the people that hurt you, instead of the people trying to help you!"
"Help me?! You should've just let me rot out there."
Hearing Louis say that just hurt Reaper. Louis was more than just a friend to him, he was like a son. "Don't say that!"
"They wanted me on the team because I could fucking help! I could fight! What fucking use am I now?! They hate my fucking guts because I disagree with them. I bet Kovick would've loved to just let me die out there."
"But he didn't! He saved you!" Reaper quickly pointed out.
"Hah, it sure as fuck wasn't because he liked me though." Louis was sure that Kovick probably regretted saving him. He felt like he was more of a burden than anything else.
"Does it matter why he did it? You're here, and that's all that matters. You can't just give up because you got hit! That isn't like you at all."
"This time is different! They took my fucking hand! How am I supposed to fight with one fucking hand?!" Tears escaped the human's eyes as he continued to yell. "They took my family, my life, and now they've made me a cripple! A fucking freak! They've fucking ruined me. They've won..."
"You're not the only cripple here." Reaper knew what it felt like to be an outsider, to be different. He remembered some of the other pokemon treating him differently just because he couldn't fly like the other scythers. He remembered all those awkward looks as he walked by. "Look at me, I don't even have hands to lose. I am a scyther that doesn't have the full use of his wings. I don't let it get me down though, you just have to accept it, and move on. I am going to be by your side to help you get through this, like I always have been. You shouldn't look just at the downside, look at the positive sides too. That bullet missed your body, and your head. You've lost your hand, but you still have your youth, and your life."
"I... I'm having a hard time looking at the bright side here. Look at where we are, we're in the middle of a slaver infested forest. If they come for us again, I don't think I'm going to make it. It isn't like I can fight them."
"Who says you can't?" Reaper wasn't just going to let him stew in self-pity. "Learn how to reload and use a gun with one hand. Maybe ask Tobias for some tips on how to do so. He seems like the type of guy you could learn a few things from. I am sure he would be happy to help."
Louis knew Reaper was just trying to help him, and he appreciated it. However, everything just seemed so grim. He knew it was going to be a while before their situation gets any better. It was going to be hell, getting used to having one hand. "Maybe I'll talk to Tobias tomorrow. Right now, I just need some sleep. I'm fucking exausted."
"Alright, go get some rest kid." Reaper watched Louis walk away. He knew that Louis would be fine, he was tougher than most people thought. Reaper looked out towards everyone else, seeing a mix of so many different pokemon, all brought here by a common enemy. He sure hoped they had enough people and firepower to get off this island.
Author's note: Sorry this took so long. The next chapter will not take this long, I promise! But now, a big thanks to BigBossSonic who not only edited this down, but also played the part of Charlie the flareon. Thank you all again for reading this, you're all so amazing for reading this far! Oh, also I have edited a lot of the older chapters, and I am going to continue editing them seeing as I made so many grammar and spelling mistakes in them. XD I think I am up to chapter 20 so far.
