Hey y'all, I'm back and redoing this shit. I am not at all happy with how rushed and unclear this was when I published it 10 years ago, so here I am taking things reaaaallll slow and redoing them. Enjoy, and as always, I don't own shit.

Soft panting, the swish of fabric, the thud of a body hitting the mat. Thin lips curled into a crooked smile, and Kana's charcoal eyes swept over the room. The sound of a foot sliding, a grunt of protest, the sound of fist hitting flesh shortly followed by a grunt of pain and a shrill whistle. "Match, SET! Winner! Tatsuki Arisawa!" Then soft applause. The entire dojo reeked of sweat and tears, with a hint of blood, and Kana loved it. She used to go here everyday. That's how she met Tatsuki. It was a short lived friendship however, as once Kana hit middle school her parents send her off to a boarding school thinking she would excel better there. It took almost 4 full years for her to convince them otherwise.

"Arisawa. You've improved." She finally spoke, voice low and constantly mocking. Cynical. Sharp. Yeah, sharp was the right word. Other than a generous bosom and long, thick legs everything about Kana Takahashi was sharp. Hair waist length and spiky, eyes sharp and narrowed, smile crooked and always having a fang peek out. Another way to describe her would be dark. Her skin was certainly fair enough, so pale it bordered on pasty. But both her hair and her eyes were a deep black. Her eyes were also currently locked with Tatsuki's own. Tatsuki's lips curled up into a smile, her brow furrowing as she raised her arm, pointing at Kana.

"Let's see if you have, Takahashi." She demanded, excitement clear in her voice. Kana could only roll her eyes and raise her hands in a 'defeated' manner.
"Ma, ma, Tastuki-chan. I'm sure you're excited to get your hands on me but it'll have to wait another day." Kana was full out grinning, resisting the urge to accept Tatsuki's challenge. It's been years since she's had a good fight. She could almost feel the adrenaline as she tried to dodge, the force of her fist hitting someone, the feel of the mat shaking as she swiped her opponent's feet out from under them. She was swiftly drawn out of her daydream by a bubbly voice behind her.

"Tatsuki-chan!" Kana put her hands on her hips and turned to see who had just so rudely interrupted her fantasy. At first all she could see was the massive jiggling breasts, but the smooth orange hair, warm grey eyes and beaming smile soon registered. Tatsuki was shortly encased in a tight hug from the giggling angel and Kana raised an eyebrow. This wasn't the sort of person Kana would ever think her old friend would interact with, but she knew there must be more to the girl than her tits and smile.

"That was amazing, Tatsuki-chan! You were all like 'BLAM' and then she was 'WHOOSH' and then you just 'POW'!" Kana drew attention to herself by cackling loudly.
"Ariswawa, you've found someone interesting." She said, holding her hand out to the orangette. The girl was too excited to take it, shaking it enthusiastically. It took everything Kana had to keep eye contact and not stare at the bouncing breasts trying to bumble their way out of the bursting bra. It was easier when the other girl chirped up.

"Hi! I'm Inoue Orihime, Tatsuki-chan's friend since the start of middle school!" Kana tilted her head to the side, peering down at the bubbling girl. Grinning widely, she freed her hand and placed it on Orihime's head instead, petting her hair.

"Nice ta' meet'ya, hime. I'm Takahashi Kana, the only girl who's ever beat Tatsuki in a fight." There was an offended sound from her left and she peered at Tatsuki out of the corner of her eye.

"Hey! I beat you as many times as you beat me before you left! I've gotten a lot stronger, you don't stand a chance now!" Tatsuki declared proudly, hopping on the balls of her feet.
"Wait right here! I'm going to go get changed and then you can walk with Orihime and me and we can catch up!" Tatsuki turned on her heel and jogged down the hall and around the corner and Kana went back to looking at Orihime, who was all of a sudden up on her tip toes, very close to her face.

"Can I help ya'?" She questioned, taking a half step back. Orihime continued to stare at her for a second before she dropped down to her heels and clapped her hands together in front of her, smiling widely.

"I'm so excited to meet one of Tatsuki's friends! What was Tatsuki like before middle school? Did she always look so tough? Or did she dress like a princess?" Kana raised one eyebrow and held her hand out in a 'stop right here' sign.

"Slow down there, hime. I can't even imagine Arisawa in a dress, let alone dressing like a princess." When her dubious look was met with puppy eyes and a pout she chuckled. "She did have a thing for collecting pretty rocks on the play ground though. Her and some orange haired boy would spend hours looking for the best rocks they could find before their mother's would drag them home."

"Oi! Don't pretend that you didn't participate! You always had to show off and find the 'best rock' you could possibly find." Tatsuki jumped in, now dressed in the same school uniform as Orihime was. Kana eyed it momentarily before sighing and rubbing her neck.

"Uniforms. I'm not looking forwards to that." She groaned, watching Tatsuki slip her shoes on and grab her bag before leading Orihime and herself out of the dojo and started down the road. Kana felt rather than saw Orihime look up at her, and turned her head slightly to meet her eyes. She wished she had pretty grey eyes like that. Maybe they would help her not look so depressing.

"You didn't wear a uniform before? Where did you go to school?" Kana was saved from answering by Tatsuki.

"Kana's parents are real picky. They always wanted Kana to be the best at everything, which is why she's so competitive." Kana glared at her with a short 'oi', but Tatsuki ignored it. "When we graduated elementary school, Kana's parents decided to send her off to a boarding school so that she would learn how to be perfect or some other bullshit." Kana barked out a laugh.

"That sounds about right. There were uniforms at the school though, but I was allowed to wear pants and so long as I wore the blazer it didn't matter when shirt I wore underneath it. I didn't have to worry about any of that nonsense with the bow and a skirt." Orihime hummed in response, and they walked quietly for a few more moments before the bubbly girl piped up again.

"Where did you go to school,Takahashi-chan? Are you going to join us at Karakura? Where do you live?"

"It was some uppity academy in England. Yeah, I'm starting at Karakura tomorrow, and I live-" Kana cut herself off, stopping her walking, brow furrowing.

"Shit. Where do I live now? Mom said it was somewhere around the block from a clinic and behind a convenience store? It's an apartment building beside a park. I walked here from there but I don't remember where it is." She said, laughing slightly and rubbing the back of her head.

"You telling me you're still shit with directions!?" Kana glared at Tatsuki, pulling out her phone and flicking through before showing the girls a picture.

"That's the building there, 4th floor-"

"Apartment number 8!"

Kana blinked at Orihime slowly.

"Uh...yeah? How'd you-"

"That's my apartment! I'm number 7!"

Kana stared at her for a second before cackling and draping her arm over Orihime's shoulders. A feat made much more easier by the fact Kana was a solid 7" taller than her.

"That's great! Lead the way then, Tracking Princess!" Kana proclaimed, starting down a road to their left.

"U-uhm, Takahashi-chan? It's the other way." Kana stopped, petting Orihime before spinning on her heel and starting the other way.

"Oh, hime?" She heard Orihime hum in question and turned her head to grin at her.

"Why don't ya just go ahead and call me Kana?" She was met with a bright smile from Orihime and an approving grin from Tatsuki.

"Hai, Kana-chan!" Orihime chirped, skipping along beside her with Tatsuki on her other side.

"Oi, oi, none of that 'chan' nonsense. It's way too cutesy for me."

Orihime just giggled as they continued on before asking some more questions. Kana answered them as best she could while trying to remember the turns they took, though she knew it was futile. She couldn't remember anything after passing the clinic. They did however, make it home, Orihime leading both of the dark haired girls upstairs and giving Kana a tour of her apartment. Kana told her it really suited her before heading across the hall to start unpacking her stuff. Tatsuki said she often walked with Orihime to school anyway, so the three of them could go together. Kana ignored the added barb of 'of course it's the only way you'll find your way there anyway'.

Kana chuckled slightly as she thought of how much Tatsuki hadn't changed. It was comforting, that some things were more or less the same. It made it feel like she was coming home. Yawning widely, Kana set her alarm on her phone before getting ready to go to bed. Orihime had mentioned something about making her a bento box for lunch as a 'Welcome back to Karakura Town' present, so she didn't need to worry about figuring out lunch tomorrow morning. Kana's last thoughts as she drifted off were mainly wondering about why Tatsuki had been making faces and shaking her head so much behind Orihime when the peppy girl told her about the bento box.
