Chapter 8

"Jeremy likes me, he really likes me likes me or am I wrong? Was it really going to be a kiss or maybe there was something on my face?! Why is love so confusing. Ha Ni thought as Jeremy started walking in front of her instead of by her side. She started staring at her roses in her left hand and the prize Jeremy had won for her in the right.

Ha Ni and Jeremy were slowly approaching Seung Jo's house. Ha Ni

Approaching the front of the house, words start coming out of her mouth.

"J-J-Jeremy stop!" She yelled as she shut her eyes tightly again for the millionth time.

"You're my best friend. You mean the world to me and I want to let you know that every late-night phone call, every library moment, and all our memories we share together mean so much to me. Please tell me what I am to you like how you are to me!" Ha Ni screamed as her eyes were still shut. She was holding back her tears, scared to hear a response.

"Ha Ni" Jeremy whispered so quietly she could barely here. He started walking towards her, he reaches for her hands, she drops everything, and then puts it onto his chest. He stares at her. It was so quiet you can hear Ha Ni trying to control her breathing.

Before Jeremy can say anything else, the front door swings wide open revealing Seung Jo.

"It's time to go, Jeremy." Seung Jo snickers as he sees the lovely couple and their "cute" little moment together.

Ha Ni opens her eyes, she quickly pushes herself away from Jeremy and is scrambling to compose herself. Quickly grabs her roses and stuffed bear and gives a sad smile at Jeremy.

Seung Jo, watching Ha Ni look at Jeremy, promising himself that he would never make her cry, comes out the door to grab Ha Ni, drags her inside and before he shuts the door he says to Jeremy.

"Stay away." Seung Jo says blankly as he slams the door.

Jeremy chuckled at how immature this grown man was acting. He wondered how Ha Ni put up with such an attitude. "This is what she deals with every day?" As he started his journey back home.

He wanted to punch himself for almost letting Ha Ni cry. "How can she be so oblivious to how I feel about her? It's not science we are dealing with. Hopefully I'll have time to call her tonight."

Inside the House

"What is your problem Seung Jo?!" Ha Ni yells as she goes straight upstairs to her room. Quickly, he follows after her "who is that man Ha Ni? What happened to hanging out with the girls?" he responds with an angry look on his face.

"Plans changed. Jeremy is my friend. Why does it matter who I was with?" Ha Ni stops in the hallway and turns to back Seung Jo.

"You live with me, it's important I know who you are with Incase something were to happen." Seung Jo staring back at Ha Ni's cold glare.

"I'm only here temporarily. I'll be out of this house soon." Ha Ni snapped and goes inside her room.

Seung Jo watches Ha Ni disappear. "I'm glad nobody is home. I have to watch her more closely."
