Hi all! I know its been ages since I wrote anything. The truth is there has been A LOT going on…My mom had 2 heart attacks and heart surgery…so I have been taking care of her. I am very happy to report she is doing awesome now, she has even returned back to work. The doctors found out she had an extra piece on her heart that was causing her problems.

Patrick was wondering around deeper into the thick forest. He was cold and soaked to the bone. He was also exhausted. Soon Patrick came to a little cabin…he wondered if anyone lived there…
Patrick walked slowly. His legs hurt from wondering around all night, his chest also hurt badly from a long piece of glass that had gave him a horrible gash. It was only then when he looked down and saw all the blood and decided maybe he should rest a bit.
Patrick wasn't giving up on his search for his wife, he just knew she was close…well at least he hoped so.
He had his arms wrapped around his chest as he walked up to the door and knocked…he found it unlocked as the door creaked open. Patrick peaked inside…he felt unsure if he should enter, but as a loud crack sounded somewhere in these deep woods he decided it be best to head inside.
Once inside Patrick closed the door and locked it and took a look around. It was a little hunting cabin he supposed, apparently abandoned at the present time considering the door being unlocked.
Patrick decided to go to the bathroom to get cleaned up a bit…as he saw himself in the mirror he got the shock of his life. He knew he had been bleeding…but not this much…
Patrick stood shocked as he eyed himself, giving himself a good going over. The site before him made his chest hurt from fear: "What happened to you old man?"
He just seemed to stare at himself for a moment trying to figure out what happened to his chest…that seemed to be his focus. The wound was deep and painful, it also felt like something was stuck in inside of it.
Patrick had his shirt unbuttoned a bit, it was also torn, so he was able to see it better. He painfully unbuttoned his vest and shirt completely and eyed his battered body. He was covered in horrid black and purple bruises and cuts along the way…but his chest was the worst…he wondered what was in it that was hurting so bad. It felt like a knife was stabbing him…the pain was so bad it was throwing off his breathing. He gently ran his fingertips over the wound and hissed. His eyes wondered up to his face and slowly shook his head: "What did I hit…or what hit me?"
Patrick took his shirt off his shoulders and saw the swelling and felt the pain that came from his broken shoulder and arm.
"I don't get it…I was walking around…and now I'm beat up? I need my wife…I wonder if she knows where I am." Patrick rolled his eyes and laughed at his thoughts: "Good one old man…I don't even know where I am."
Patrick slowly pulled his shirt back over his shoulders and buttoned it slightly…it was very painful for him to do this one simple act. As he walked back into the living room area and eyed the comfy looking couch and warm blanket and smiled: "Ah this is what I need a nap…maybe when I wake up I will know what happened to me."
Patrick slowly set down and sighed. The couch was so soft and blanket so warm. He laid there, snuggled in and fell asleep…
Patrick slipped into unconsciousness…his chest no longer hurt even though he had a ten inch piece of glass imbedded in it…he had lost a lot of blood and was completely unaware of the danger he was in…
Teresa was forced to go home and try to rest. Rest…how on earth was she supposed to rest with her husband somewhere out there, wondering around hurt?! She shook her head at the thought.
Teresa had fallen asleep on her couch. She tried to get comfortable, both arms wrapped and rubbing her tummy trying to feel her little baby wiggle, but this time she was being still. It was then she was forced out by her team. They all knew she needed rest and didn't want anything happening to her or her baby.
Now Teresa was home…alone. She looked around what was now their apartment. Their cloths folded on the dryer from the night before this nightmare happened…pictures of them all over.
She took a deep breath and walked up to their room…their bed unmade…Patrick's pajamas ready for him to put on.
Her eyes filled as she wondered where he was. She prayed he was okay…but how on earth could he be? Teresa set on the bed and wrapped her arms around her baby crying, wondering, hoping and praying he was alive. She picked up Patrick's pillow and hugged it…breathing in his scent. There was no way she could be here without him…it was cold, lonely…just bare. She could not stay here.
Teresa placed his pillow back in his spot and stood. She grabbed a pair of undies, a comfy bra, a pair of grey sweats, a blue heather v neck t shirt, and a pair of warm snuggly socks. She took one more look at their bed and headed for a hot shower…Teresa had plans…
Three hours had gone by before the pain woke Patrick up…that and he was suddenly very hungry. He was careful when he stood, he felt very dizzy: "Easy now…I don't need to fall."
Patrick slowly hobbled in the little kitchen and started raiding the cabinets. He smiled at his success. He had found peanut butter and ritz crackers: "Now for something to drink." He looked a bit more and found grape gator aid…sticking his tongue out in disapproval, he grabbed that too along with a knife and plate, headed back to the couch and began eating…
Soon Patrick was full, and set his dinner goodies on the coffee table and set back, resting his head. He placed his left hand over the goose egg that had formed…it made him feel sick. He tried to think of other things to help.
Poor Patrick still wondered where his wife was…The only problem was he couldn't remember what she looked like…well somewhat. He knew her voice…or at least he thought he did.
He missed her…the only thing he knew for sure was that she loved him. Patrick hoped desperately he could find her…what if she was hurt too?
His mind suddenly began playing games with him. Patrick was now very much aware of the sounds outside…things falling, cracking, and whipping around. He hoped she was safe…he hoped he was safe. He gently ran his fingers over his wedding ring as tears fell down his face…she had to be okay…he couldn't loose her.
Patrick was suddenly very tired. So he laid down and snuggled back in. Hoping dearly that the little cabin wouldn't be hit by anything, and hoping dearly he would find her. He placed a soft kiss against his wedding band as he spoke and cried again for her: "I love you…I'll find you…" with that he was sound asleep…
Teresa was done with her shower. Now her little one was hungry. "I Hope I don't get sick." She said as she walked down and into their little kitchen. She found herself eating some pizza…she couldn't eat the soup she had made for them, it hurt her too much…so she threw it out. He loved her cooking, she decided when she found him, and he was healed up, she would make him soup.
She knew he was hurt…hopefully not dead. Teresa suddenly felt her baby kicking.
"Sweetheart I hope your enjoying our dinner…it's not great, but mommy hasn't got much of an appetite right now." She rubbed her hand over her baby. This was the most amazing thing to Teresa. She loved that she was carrying a little baby. She never thought she would find the right one, and settle down, have a little family of her own…and far sure she never saw Patrick as the one she would be with...but here they were…married and expecting.
Teresa smiled at the thought as her baby wiggled against her. She thought of Patrick holding them at night, stealing kisses from her at work…and texting her every ten minutes when he was away from her to make sure they were okay.
He was very loving and caring, and very supportive. He had gone to every appointment she had.
She was also now on desk duty. She still kept up with everything going on though. Teresa worked hard at her job, that was nothing new, but carrying a baby was, so she would rest now if she got tired, not pushing herself like she always did.
It was different, but she liked it. If cases were really bad they kept the details from her, not wanting to stress her. She smiled, she had a wonderful team. They were a little family, they all cared about each other dearly. They always looked out for each other.
As Teresa finished eating she was thinking of her plan…somehow she had to find her husband. Teams had been sent out to search for him, but nothing…yet. She had to find her husband soon.
Her little baby took her thoughts as she kicked her mommy snapping her out of the awful thoughts that plagued her mind.
Teresa smiled as she spoke: "Hey wiggles, you're kicking me a lot tonight. You keep it up, I need this sweetheart." Teresa's eyes filled as she spoke to her daughter: "I miss your daddy, but we'll find him. Its not the first time he has wondered off." She softly laughed that thought.
Teresa gently caressed her tummy and thought of what to do next…she didn't want to be home without him there, it wasn't home, but at the same time if she would leave would her baby pick up the stress? She didn't want to harm her in any way. They had found out that she was a perfectly healthy little girl, and she wanted to keep it that way.
Teresa was very tired…so instead of risking her and her baby's life she thought it was better to stay here…with her. She would attempt her plan soon, she had too…
Teresa went to their bedroom and grabbed his pillow so she could still have him close to her, grabbed their comforter, and headed for their daughters room. Once there she got in her comfy rocking chair, snuggled in, and sang to her baby while she held her as she fell into a exhausted sleep…
